@@SoapyRaccon my progress is definitely slower because of my work schedule but like others while I wait to plant our harvest I'm doing contracts. I do not have a seeder, plow or a spreader of any type yet. And I got 50k as of last night

Just some perspective on how much a Billion is. By my calculations, with 100 of those solar panels running at 360x speed it would take ~75 hours to generate $1B. $1,000,000,000 is so much more than $1,000,000 its insane. The same solar array would take about 4 minutes on 360x speed for $1M, 44 minutes to generate $10M and about ~7.5 hours to generate $100M.
Then you buy more of them😂

Not sure, it seems that not all know you can use the silos at the train to store, you can also take out grain from those silos also (on most maps)@@paddingtonbear-uk4wh

Not enough time in the day is an odd concept when you're running at 10x speed, you could have had 20x more time lol. That said, I very much relate to being unsure what gamespeed is the right speed.

the thing with rocks is after farming the land for awhile you will have removed almost all of them and then you don't have to worry about it any more

Have the challenge on 2 maps Iowa plain and I may have a 2nd on Carpathian or four farms
Could you combine the two fields at the starter farm the ones that had corn and canola plow those up to make them a little bit bigger for more money

Jake, could you use only Giants approved mods for all game, maybe pick top 5 in each major category, small tractors, medium tractors, harvester, trailers, plows, cultivation, planting, and hay equipment for newer players

Good idea! I started with Canola because of the timing of when we started and since it had fairly stable prices. Though it would be a good idea to change to soybeans.

How realistic is this? In other words, is farming actually this expensive IRL?
The equipment cost is pretty accurate for new equipment. Though in the game you earn more than real life usually, so it’s harder in real life to be honest with you. It’s pretty great to learn and have fun though!
Most farmers are asset rich but cash poor. So they feel their every day lives are the same as everyone else even when they have millions in assets.

as much as i love these videos, you are making a poor job at making money fast. The fastest you could have done combining passive (solar pannels) and active (farming of some kind) is using meat cows. You could have started with a tiny tractor, a loader, a food mixer and a little stable. you could have bought the food (hay and silage bales) to start, then progressing to making it yourself. Also you could have started selling the barn and the workshop of the starting field, then selling the starting field to buy a cheaper one where you could have fitted some solar pannels and the cow stables. Other than that, your vids are so chill man, I love them
