As someone who's been a cashier in canada, watching you do change makes me appreciate our currency having toonies and no pennies, so much easier.
Me on my day off as a retail manager, let's watch someone play a game doing my job
Watching people play this makes me reeaally want to play if only because I don't like how they shelve items and want to do it my way.
I find it cute that the developers think stores in the US keep the register stocked with 50 cent pieces. The extra cup is usually empty unless a customer gives you a coin that isn't a quarter, dime, nickel, or penny.
You can set prices for 10-20 cents higher then market price (in the long run you will make more money)

Just a little tip. When they pay with Card and it's a full amount like $4.00 you can just type $4 without the point zero zero.

being a cashier and the giving big bills like $100 or $50 for a $5 dollar purchase is really annoying. especially if they pull out all their cash and you see that they had smaller bills

Also, you're trying to expand too fast. You need to build up profits on basics first so you can afford more than just more stock, since bills and equipment is a thing. Take into account all expenses, not just a couple things you want to buy right that minute.

just now watching this....what i would do is order stuff or even extra stuff have the store close while you put stuff up cx is what i use to do when i was working in retail or even smaller stores
