Water sources is a nice change
Water all day. No need to carry more than a litre at any time.
Think you got some smoke from fires heading to Ghost Ranch, years ago swam in the Abiqui lake, got in with wide brim hat water up to my ears. Hot as blazes in sun so the water was wonderful. Happy trails, 🏃🏼🏃🏼🏃🏼🏃🏼Pokey
Yes. I had to walk around the fire at Gila. Not a fun road walk for 34 miles 😱
All of those Gila River crossings were just like your crossings of the headwaters of the Sierra Nevada’s great rivers, not, but still crossed water!
Same water level. Quite a difference in temperature, though 😅
