This video reinforces to me what I already knew; I follow you closely because of the way you see your environment and how you capture it. From the cadence of your story telling to your subtle processing, you are a great inspiration to me. I honestly don’t care what you share, but I will say this type of solo adventure is exactly where photography fits into my own life and you do it amazingly well and it really gets my juices flowing. You’re honest, transparent and very relatable and the drone work and photos were absolutely beautiful. And on top of all of it, I saw a side a Vancouver Island I’ve never seen before. Fantastic work my man!
@@QuietLightPhoto Couldn’t agree more with the above comments, and what an absolutely stunning place for an adventure. Well worth staying out for that 2nd night as that cloud inversion was superb.
Adam, absolutely awesome. I fully agree that this new kind of TH-cam is a great addition to your "normal" photo videos and I look forward to seeing more of them. I loved the drone flight with you standing on the ridge alone, as if the world belongs to you at that moment.
Congratulations, Adam! Amazing footage and images. Amazing landscape, spectacular light and mood as well as great adventure. I enjoy watching your videos. Serious photography. Great variety. Inspirational. A lot t learn from. Thanks a lot!
Really enjoyed it Adam! It is stunning beautiful, the time lapse of the clouds, the drone footage of the landscape, the music and of course, your photography. Everything comes together perfectly, I’m just so touched, looking forward to more of your adventures in your channel 👍👏💕 But be safe, make sure you have water 😄
Thank you so much, Adam. We do not know each other but having followed you for many years I believe I can recognise an inspired photographer in you when you are on these kind of adventures. This is your kind of photography. And may I add that to me you are probably the one of the old F4 who does the best, most interesting B-roll so videos in this class you can surely keep making. Hope you will get many views and most of all - enjoy your time photographing in what looks like a beautiful country. Best, Jon
Spectacular images from the beautiful mountain peaks of V.I. ! Took my breath away, the magical mist enveloping around the majestic mountain valleys and crests. What a feat of photography and hiking combined! The drone video breathtaking!
My husband is the photographer, and he follows your work. We watched these two episodes of your hiking adventures together and I really enjoy this sort of content. I think you'd find more people joining your channel because this type of adventure appeals to a greater audience! 👌👍
what an amazing place the view down the cliff sent my heart racing but other then that very jealous worth the hike mate great job , that inversion was spectacular.
Excellent video and amazing images Adam. Delighted to hear you will be doing more of these types of videos. Many thanks for sharing. Let me know if you are ever coming to west of Ireland.
i applaud your decision to make a little more adventure video. rather fewer videos a year, but then this fantastic quality. thank you very much for your great work. i really appreciate your work and tips on image composition and have learnt a lot here.
Way to go Adam! I always remember watching and discovering your channel when you did more of this type of adventure travel. Specifically remember your trip to Cobalt Lake and Amethyst Lakes, as I have been there myself. Great video and what a sight! Wolfgang
This was quite the beautiful video and great effort on all fronts! You managed to get great photos, and video, drone footage, timelapse all while slowly dying of mountain house 200 percent sodium dehydration. Glad you stuck around for that 3rd day to catch that undercast. Love these adventure videos.
Superb video, and well done for making it up there with all that kit, you must have been working on the back exercises. Brilliant photo's and what a drone shot at the end, that really put you and the location in perspective. Keep these type of videos going please.
Fantastic video Adam. This is a great idea to show more adventures!!! Keep up with this theme please. Although I was a bit worried about you doing it solo since there is no margin for error if an accident or illness strikes.
Very nice mate I camped on Kings summit 2 or 3 summers ago, and its a slog getting up there with a full baclpack. Especially that huge gulley just before the ridge. So, your in good shape man. Well done
My dude you are no crazier than I am I got stent put in they tell me I'm supposed to relax I was right back at work within 3 days moving a bunch of stuff I'm supposed to only lift or push or pull 7 lb I'm here curling 65 to 75 lb and moving 65 to 75 lb 3 days after I sent that went in my arm and I still have the hemostat pulling which is now black and white and purple and blue mini colors on my right arm
Very very very very beautiful video, one of your best !!! I'm a little bit missing the part where you explain the composition, but that's okay. ... Thanks from Italy ... Ciao !!! P.s.: you live in the most beautiful place in the world ...
This and the 5040 video are awesome! Stunning images both with photos and footage and one thing that should also be mentioned is your choice of music in your videos which always suits the videos.
Really enjoyed this one Adam, glad you are going to create more like this, I do prefer when you make videos featuring only yourself as I find I get more photography info out of them, but I do understand why you do the collaborations. I personally enjoyed that the camera you were using was not pro gear, as someone who uses a beat up Fuji XT30 I was happy to see the amazing images from the X-S20. Amazing video and a beautiful look at the landscape. Thanks for sharing.
Keep it up. I really enjoyed this video. It's good to see different parts of the world. It did occur to me 'Where is he getting his water from? It looks pretty dry. Thank God it wasn't a Hassleblad lens review (Don't tell Gavin) I kept falling asleep 😴 during that one.
What an amazing video--the sights, sounds, music, time lapses, drone footage, editing!--and then, there's the photography! Wow! This is Gibbs at his best. Thanks, Adam. I enjoyed the hike, one I could not have done, and the photos. Cheers from Texas.
Very enjoyable watch Adam and also ‘slightly’ envious! Off to the Peak District in a few weeks for a weekend away walking with my camera so that’ll have to make do!
What an incredible spot to camp! And such amazing conditions too with those layers and the inversion. Those cliffs, though.... 😱 Definitely enjoying these backpacking vlogs 👍
wow - approaching 75K subscribers. Remember when you took a group up the mountains in 2017 (me included) . You had 10K. This was a great vlog. Keep it up.
I'd be very interested in hearing a bit more about the time lapses you are doing, how you do them, etc. I bet lots of people don't know how easy it is to do a TLapse on their phone. Also TLapses on a regular camera would be interesting too. These behind the scene type of videos could be published later in the year after hiking season to stretch out the value of your hike. Becky & Chris on TH-cam are really clever at making several types of content from one trip - how we shot XYZ, what we packed for the trip, etc.

Have to agree. Most of my favorite places for photography are all up above the tree line.
Thank you so much, Adam. We do not know each other but having followed you for many years I believe I can recognise an inspired photographer in you when you are on these kind of adventures. Beautiful Adam. Hats off to you for climbing up there with your gear and three and a half litres of water. 1800m is quite some acsent and descent.
Thank you! It was definitely a challenging climb, but the views made it all worth it!

Many thanks!
What an incredible spot to camp! And such amazing conditions too with those layers and the inversion. Those cliffs, though.... 😱 Definitely enjoying these backpacking vlogs 👍
Thanks!
Stunning! Do you know why the water in the streams is so milky?
For sure, the milky stream is from glacial silt. There is a glacier up in the bowl just below the summit👍🏼
Wonderful video, a lot more of this please Adam :)
You got it!
i really enjoyed this style of video, especially high up in the mountains.
Glad to hear!
