Ive had the Streamline in .22 for a few years now and today theres multiple option's with adjustable reg,HS etc but the simplicity of the Streamline is one of its great strengths,going inside a barn when your target in 20 or 30 yards,just drop to medium power for less chance of pellet existing target,outside switch to full power and reach out to 75 yards plus.
Matt, thanks to your review of the Streamline, as well as a few other TH-camrs, I took the plunge and bought one for myself. I got the 25, with a synthetic stock. All I can say is: Wow! One ragged hole groups at 50 yards, buttery-smooth action, and a trigger that is out of this world. Squirrel season just opened here in North Carolina, USA. I haven't missed a squirrel yet with my new Streamline. Still keeping my shots under 50 yards for now, until I get some more practice and dope out the holdover for longer ranges. Keep putting out the great videos, and thanks again for informing and entertaining this newbie to airgunning!
That $60-$80K is just in grain costs.... factor in meds for keeping the cows healthy-... Which not surprisingly is something the animal-lovers crying about shooting the cute birdies don't understand- it means antibiotics are now a must-have for the cows. Great video Matt- nice seeing you Getting It Done here in the US. Invasive species are invasive everywhere- knocking them back with air-powered lead is the best possible choice! All those birds are making me hungry, too :) Cheers- seems like that Streamline is working Just Fine!
How are the grain costs associated with the medical costs?
Ahhhhh, makes sense. I want to find a farm to do this at, can I just walk up and ask them? What's the protocol on removing the dead birds?

Annony Mouse The biggest issues for the farmer are: Are you competent and safe with your weapon? Are you ALWAYS aware of people, property, equipment, etc. Are you conscientious about following the rules, respecting the animals, crops, etc. Spend time finding out what they want you to do, not do.

I have the same air gun but then I keep scope in and the pellets won’t hit but now I am using the JSB Diabolo Exact Jumbo Heavy .22 Cal, 18.13gr-500ct air pellets I wanna ask what should I adjust air pressure to and also I wanna ask what should I adjust the power to for my air gun
I think trial and error will probably be best for you, so you get desired FPS and a good grouping

FX Streamline looks like a great new air riffle. The riffle is shrouded as far as I can see and read. Does it need the extra silencer as I can see in the video? How loud compared to the FX wildcat?

Yeah I can see that. I dont have anywhere near the set up he has, but I have up to 100 dove any given day picking at my chickens feed. In fact if it wasn’t currently raining I’d be picking a few off for dinner right now.

If you're trying to get rid of as many as you can why wouldn't you use a 12 gauge or 410 with bird shot? You can take out 10 at a time.

what for barrel have your frand in his impact? thats for sure not a smoth twist barrel. it is bigger on the front and thins out to the front. and its longer?

The speed of the bullet depends on the weight of the pellet. A streamline .22 shoots a jsb exact 15.89 ar around 953fps in high power. That's around 33fpe. The streamline is extremely accurate, quiet, effective on air and light. It's a powerful rifle with first class accuracy.

Are all fx models with the smooth twist barrels similar in accuracy? What would make the Impact more accurate than the Streamline or Wildcat given the same calibre?

I would have a field day there, collared doves ,pigeons and starlings. I've shot 1000s of these in Northern Ireland over the years with my Theoben Rapid 7 mk1 22flbs .tack driver.

Welcome to air gunning USA! Great video and terrific shooting both at the Ultimate Benchrest competition and at the dairy. I do a lot of similar dairy pest control with Crosman's Marauder and Woods Walker air guns. I mostly shoot rats, pigeons, starlings etc. and really appreciated watching you work. Unfortunately, many farming operations use poison to control rat populations despite the resultant environmental damage. However, poison can't be used to control pest birds. Airguns are the perfect tool for the job. Jess

Quick question about the Streamline: If it performs just as good as the impact in terms of accuracy and smooth handeling. Then whats the point of me buying the Impact? Or the other way around, what's the point of buying the Streamline if you save up a some more and buy the Impact?
I`m not Matt, I`m not AoA, nor am I Ted or HuntersVermin etc etc.
But I`ve seen most of all their videos, I`ve read on forums, facebook, google, various fora, so if you`re still willing to read what I can deduce there`s this:
It does not have the 5 setting power wheel = not as easy to calibrate power settings for attaining best accuracy for a specific pellet and according to risk of collateral damage.
Smaller reservoir = Less shots per fill.
It`s longer = More cumbersome in tight spaces.
It`s assembled more tightly and far differently from the Impact = No modularity between different calibers.
The familiar Wildcat/Bobcat/Impact shrouds cannot be used, making it further unwieldy with a longer suppressor and you run a risk with a set length suppressor actually lowering accuracy (ask Ted, Matt, etc).
In other words, what you saw in this video is what you get, smooth twist barrel, 8-12 shot magazines, 50 shots on highest power setting, 3 power settings, adjustable trigger, potentially very good accuracy that rivals that of good and decently tweaked .22LR`s bolt actions within that calibers effective ranges on these kinds of pests, with far less time spent manipulating the bolt.
It`s a solid buy for under a grand and it delivers what it`s meant to.
I think what Matt was referring to was the fact the Streamline could do the same job as the Impact in this scenario - varminting out to 75 yards and that's about it. Over 75 yards the Impact would take over accuracy wise and win hands down in that department. Plus the (almost) infinite adjustability of the Impact sure does blow a lot of airgunners skirts up!!
Matt (or others) when i shoot for example with the jsb rs pellet on max power, will this pellet be shooting as good as it will on min power? I haven't bought this rifle yet, but i don't want to buy different pellets for different power settings...
kevin van ter Beek from experience some pellets prefer to be shot at a certain velocity, or the barrel itself will play a role on that as well. My gun loves jsb heavies at high to mid power but shoots them horrible at low power. That’s where I use my jsb 15.9 they shoot great at low but not as good a high power as the heavies. It’s all about experimenting yourself and see what results you get because remember not all guns are exactly the same.
