Josh buzzed like at least 6 times without having the answer (by "6" I mean 2); I was glad to see this time he's got it (though he took his time to make sure he's getting the exact phrasing correct)
10:00 - You hear Mark saying "well that is near here" when the first clue came up, showing to the viewer who does not know, that Only Connect is recorded in Cardiff, Wales. They used to be in the ITV studio in Cardiff, but they had to move out when that studio closed, so I assume they record the series in the BBC Broadcasting House in Cardiff now.
shout out to fall out boy’s thnks fr th mmrs for making me instantly recognize the « thanks for » in the tie break and then quickly figuring out the phrase
ElvisChrist6 I would've thought the manta ray would be the fourth clue at least. Plus, I got the music round after two, so I'd probably say yes, it was pretty easy.
What a weird moment at 8:42 - Paul Taylor, dude, not only are you on television, but you're also on a rather hard quiz... Shouldn't you be paying attention to the question, rather than picking the sleep out of your eyes and then staring at it in awe and examining it as if it were a miraculous present sent by God himself?
Yeah, I noticed that too, that was cute and funny 😅 "You guyz do the quizzing, I've got something important to see to here; have no idea what these songs are anyway..."
Since the 'groups of countries' on that wall was so easy to find, the producers should have at least asked for a precise answer, meaning 'just groups of countries' should not have been accepted, because they are all economic groupings. That wall was definitely easier than the first one, because those 'rich businesspeople' were also an easy one. I feel bad for the Corpuscles losing based on that.
Cyprol is right here, that wall was far, far easier. Literally gave them a 5-point headstart, methinks there were some shenanigans going on to not allow a 'university' group to go through.
@@SvobodovaEva Yeah, you're right. Maybe it's more that the group was just too easy, not that their explanation was entirely wrong. Though I do have to say it's a bit of a pet peeve of mine with OnlyConnect when a team is supposed to 'give the connection' and instead they start to explain what they know about each specific clue. That's not the question; they are supposed to just give a clear definition of the connection. I always feel like it's something teams do when they don't actually really understand the connection; they sort of hide that by talking a lot about individual clues until they've talked enough that the producers will give them the point. In this case, they were all groups with a specific economic status, and that would have been a more precise answer. But I do understand that they had to accept the given answer.
c'mon, the Cartophiles gave a single-clue answer! 12:16 and they were much better on the wall (though their wall may have been significantly easier than the Corpuscles', I can't tell).
"Rich... businessmen..." "That's it. Rich businessmen - or businesspeople, I suppose you should say. I'm not sure one if you'd call a woman a fat cat - -" Double Standard has joined the room.
"NYM NYM NYM" I love it.
"Still, one out of two ain't bad." Hahaha
Holy shit that buzz in the tiebreaker! I'm SHOOK!

the only😊
It was such a good game and well done for both team! Very close, but I think the right team won by a rightly small margin!
That was tough! Cool how that mash of letter forms a nice sequence of repeated threes! :)
Both Corpuscles episodes are great
Ms Coren got VERY exercised on HIGNFY about the "psychic" octopus; it was brilliant.
I think this is the first time I’ve seen someone coming in after just one clue, very cool :D
That was the best episode of all time.
I seem to be much better at the missing vowels than them.
From the comfort of my chair at least.
Theres a delay between you seening the clues and the teams seeing them
Me too but being French strongly helped
I'm not!
The uploads each week are greatly appreciated. :)
Thank you very much for uploading these! :)
I wonder what Victoria think about psychics and particularly psychic animals; it didnt really come across :p
I mean she's David Mitchell's wife after all.
I like to quote something she said in another episode: "There's an easy way to tell if your house is haunted. It's not."
josh is thrilled for getting that.
The tiebreakers always are. The tiebreaker for Series 6, Episode 1 was "The hand is quicker than the eye".

Paul Taylor: Definitely one of the cutest contestants on the show
Was the tiebreaker the 2nd HItchhiker's Guide clue in this show?
Seb Page bullied me in secondary school
Wtf
wtf?
if you showed me these 6 contestants and asked me to guess who the bully was i'd guess him without hesitation lmao
Damn, I got the one in the video thumbnail when I saw it. That would have been fun to work out bit-by-bit
The Lion Wall was so much easier, I as an American got it.
Rather appropriate final puzzle.
Wait, the answer in the thumbnail was BBC Four! I thought for sure it was going to be a trick question.
Me too, I thought the sequence was "order that HD versions of these channels were introduced", so the fourth clue would have been "BBC News 24".

American football sixty minutes, you're having a laugh, lasts about three hours with all the shit in it.
Is it just me or is this episode particularly easy?
ElvisChrist6 I would've thought the manta ray would be the fourth clue at least. Plus, I got the music round after two, so I'd probably say yes, it was pretty easy.
Yes, whenever I get a couple of clues right, it must be an easy round. I got the BBC logos after the first picture and I'm not British.
Punxsutawney Phil is worthless. I live in the same state, and we typically get more snow AFTER Groundhog Day each year than we do before it.
cyanmanta and more Bill Murray :p
Hey, don't blame Phil, it's because of global warming and climate change
Huzzah, I actually got a Britishism right on the first clue.
IT'S NOT A PSYCHIC PIG!

Or a Masters in Lifestyle Coaching 😆
Only music round I’ve gotten

Um, he did explain the group of countries with a lot of detail?

It was a precise answer. He clearly identifies them as political or economic groups of countries. 23:36
What, no picture clue for Round 1?
@@jumblejumbo Oh my god, I'd somehow completely missed it. I've officially lost rights to watch this show
Victoria holds much contempt for prescient animals
"NYM NYM NYM" was to harsh, even for Only Connect. Also nice hitchhiker's guide phrase to use.
Out on a missing vowel and an elusive tie-breaker. This show was not fair to the Corpuscles.
c'mon, the Cartophiles gave a single-clue answer! 12:16

That American football clue was one of the easiest ever! And they had much, much easier wall.

Did she say Fat Albert was a PHIL Cosby? It's Bill Cosby.
Victoria says "Bill Cosby". Then Seb says "Bill Cosby". Then Victoria says "Bill Cosby" again.
Nobody says "Phil".
@@paulkennedy8701 Although Cosby is from Philly....
Bill the rapist.
