Honestly this battle was the finale for me cause it's basically the ultimate battle between the new which is all about musicality, beatkilling and athleteism/flexibility vs the old which is all about the traditional, the flow the groove the fundamentals. Rubix was spontaneous, energetic and fiery like fire while Hisoka was flowy, chill and cold like water and ice. (which is also complimented by the lighting of the color that their side shines onto lol)
I guess Fabbreezy is the only unbiased judge. Like no way every single round was obvious here, Les Twins never giving a tie or a different vote and well Loose Joint is probably strict af on fundamentals even if you have a bigger impact.

This is supposed to be a hiphop battle so the criteria should be strict and that includes the flow, bounce, foundation and etc. and I cannot see it from Rubix although he has the musicality and techniques but this is HIP-HOP battle. It looked more like an openstyle than hip-hop battle.

It's hard to judge this battle as it is a battle of like OG vs New School in a way. The OG style focusing more on fundamentals and groove and smooth and fluid transitions from one move into another whilst the new school is focused more on musicality and personifying the music itself and connecting to different layers in the music through the dance. With this being said, I still think Rubix had the edge with overall performance, Hisoka started off strong but I feel he lost a bit of steam towards the end whilst Rubix killed every single round.

Musicality people!!! You don’t think Rubix can do every single move Hisoka did? And follow the same exact basic hip hop groove ? HE CAN!& does then! he elevates basic hiphop foundation and brings more to it with his creativity, interpretation of the music and homage to other dance styles. Thats what les twins tries to translate to their people in France but they don’t listen and barely respect them. They stay true to conventional late 80’-early 2000’s hip hop style which isn’t Wong but,ELEVATE!! and expand that’s apart of Hip Hop.

Just because they have flashy concepts and moves, that doesnt mean that its hip Hop. They Are lethal in all Styles competitions, but hip Hop? Nah.
@@Kaito2.2 I understand we’re you’re coming from but, just because they believe there aren’t any basics to HipHop doesn’t mean they don’t have them down or can’t do the basics “real” hip hop heads look for at the same level or higher than most strictly hiphop dancers. Hiphop is constantly evolving and they are with it that’s why they’re still relevant and you may call their moves flashy but it’s simply musicality and interpreting the beat their way and not going according to the fundamentals just so people know it’s hiphop. I believe that it’s hip hop cause, hip hop is everything beats made from samples of songs from different genres, unconventional instruments, and evolution of who can/is expected to express themselves through it. They’re a perfect representation of the genre and the culture strictly from a dance/style standpoint.

And also there’s a huge difference between evolving a dancestyle, and completely disregarding the very fundamental traits of the said Dancestyle.
The Twins are far from being the perfect representation of what Hip Hop is, check out Henry Link, Buddha Stretch etc.
