This is an excellent battle to learn from, specifically with old generation vs new and old school vs new and how they work with the music and why. Doyah is a lot like Kid NY/Sniper (krumper) where he does a lot of beatkilling but can do so while still dancing. That said, I noticed he doesn't use much of the floor space, he tends to not leave his spot and that is something he can work on. It's not as bad as some dancers but if he is looking for something to improve on, I would recommend that. The other thing I will critique is his patience. It is fine with new school music that is fast and easy to play with (beatkill) but old school music is slower and simpler unless u get lucky and they play a Timbaland song. If you add the calmness / patience to it, then it just looks like you aren't doing much because less is happening in total. Majid is the complete opposite but it also ends up meaning he does better on old school music and underwhelming on new school cause he isn't doing the things Doyah does well and his freestyle is also extremely pure, nothing scripted, no combos, just dancing on beat with fundamentals and a bit of athleticism.

@@shanice992 Doyah was more memorable. That is the simplest way of putting it. Another thing is the judges aren't seeing it from the same view as us and seeing them closer really does make a difference.

Very interesting battle! I personally would have gave it to Majid at the end. I love it when dancers „talk“ to each other when dancing. Also what is up with that abrupt ending? Why are you cutting off the dancers giving respect to each other after the battle? That’s a sloppy decision.

I hate it how a lot of people cry when a more famous dancer loses to a newer one. People saying here that majid got „robbed“ are just straight up dumb and don’t know anything about dancing. For me doyah won but I can see how people still feel like majid won. It could’ve gone either way and it’s always a bit subjective depending on what style you like more. But to say that anybody clearly won or got robbed here is a stupid statement. It was close from the first round on.

Doyah won for all those who lost to Majid in this event, Majid from the first battle was provoking his opponents, against le k got into his head and lost his battle because he couldn't concentrate (I'm not saying that he lost because of majid), and with other opponents Majid did things Similarly, Doyah was mentally strong in the final as she did not let Majid enter her mind and ended up winning the battle that she so deserved. I've watched this multiple times, but I still feel like Majid should've won. In that 3rd round, Majid won that round. No need for a tie-breaker, but Doyah took the last round definitely. I just feel like Majid's flow and groove were really great in 3rd round from start to finish whilst Doyah technically killed some beats and had few pauses/resets. Nevertheless, both of them are great without a doubt.

Best event this year for hiphop. Judges and the competitors were great. Doyahs gauntlet was wild. Yo took on pretty much most the heavy hitters imo. Junior, Evion, and Majid. Also Doyah vs Jimmy was at SDF was intense too. My manz Jimmy was in the zone though.

This year has been my favourite when it comes to music. Usually I feel like Battle Bad is quite monotone with the music selection.

Doyah was one of the highlights in SDF, I'm glad he finally got his flowers here in Battle Bad. Well deserved.
