Couldn't tell which one is being used but those 12v Milwaukee's surprisingly offer lightweight and smaller sized tools for this kind of work. All of my service trucks contractors agree the 12v cordless batteries last a super longer time than the 18v which they prefer most for that reason but also that the 12v still have the power to do most every job they need. Like Ted does here, he is not limiting himself to a short extension and trying to do R&I work with just that one extension, he has a few of them to get the fasteners squared up on the material to drive them in perpendicular vs crooked like so many others will do. Good ethics by Ted. For those who don't know it, those cordless drivers can be adjusted so they won't strip out threads and the speeds can also be limited for the same purpose. With all of those fasteners back in the day and doing the disassembly/assembly by hand, todays HVAC folks should be way more efficient in their repairs.
Must be the season - my mom has the same unit down here in Columbia. It was locked when I turned it on last night for the first time this fall. I got lucky, and it seemed to free up when I spun it with a screwdriver. The capacitor read a little low (1.5uf) so I'm going to replace it. We'll see how long it lasts. I hope you keep making videos, I really enjoy watching them!
Just replaced the combustion fan 3 days, same failure, fan blades rusted and came off. Same model unit. I did not take my gas line off and worked around it with a long 1/4 extension
Always like your approach and methods, as well as your comments/opinions.😂 But I’m constantly amazed at your ability to bend, squat, and sit on your tail with legs crossed! I’m almost 65 now, and have terrible trouble doing that-especially the butt-sit-legs-crossed thing! I still keep at it but most times have to have something nearby to pull up on, or get on all fours to get back up! 🤪
Hey brother I always take the screws out the combustion motor assembly and slide it to the left and it comes out and I do t have to remove the gas line try it next time it will come right out of there I don’t move the pressure switches or nothing
It was always a common problem to find the blower wheel disintegrated. It was always my opinion that the model number on those units should have started with POS.
I hate it when inducers lock up; but we know how the problem can be fixed, and who can do it. The cold wave has hit the Southeast, and Ted is a busy man. 😎
I appreciate you putting the gas line back together before you left to go get parts..
Too many techs out there would have left it exposed.
Nice simple fix Theodore, Fasco makes most of those vent motors for everyone. Good job.👍👍🇨🇦

I had a no heat on a brand new gas pack. Installers left the gas off and the gas valve off.

Nice replacement job ... Thx

Good video. Is it necessary to check gas lines for leaks?
I love your videos.
Mr. Pete------->
aging hippie
You don't see very many units like that in Kansas, because it gets COLD here.
Always enjoy your videos. Somehow I was unsubscribed, have remedied that issue. Thanks

So, when unthreading gas line like you did a few times, do you use any gas line teflon and then soap test for any leaks?
I've got 2 or 3 of every size of those MW, DW tips. I could probably find 1 right off the bat...
Nice work Ted.
No helicopter 🚁
Good job Ted.......
Job well done Ted
Good job Ted, this customer will be Pleased they now have heat 👍 Au
What caused it to fail
Opened gas lines and no leak check???
Someone should have put some food grade anti seize on that union.
One of us is going to have to move where the other one IS. Let me know if you want to move to Texas or if I have to move to wherever you are. Thanks
I have never removed a gas line to remove or install a trane inducer motor assembly.
Would be very helpful if you included Closed Caption(CC) as it is sometimes difficult to understand what you are saying.
Date of Mfg: 07/2015. Not even 10 years old. I hope theres a little more life in that Trane unit than that!!
Yes
Big Love, stop justifying for trans!
What do you mean ?
First!
