Anybody else, I ain’t watching a hour long video on TH-cam. But you find a way to draw us in and keep it interesting. Great video Chuck. Keep them coming.
Outstanding work as usual Chuck! You’re about the only one who can keep me entertained with a video that’s over an hour long. I do hvac all week but whenever you post a video I’m definitely watching it!
That is a sweet looking setup. I like how you tested the box by standing on it. Definitely a good test for strength. Thanks for the video. Stay safe out there man.
Can you show me how to design a proper trunk and branch system? I was never taught and always do flex and junction boxes. We have found a way to make it work with good air flow and temperature distribution, but I really want to do this on my own home and get rid of my duct board trunk line. Do you use any software to help size the ducts? Thanks!
I believe you can typically go around 20-24 feet without reducing size. On the larger zone I did reduce the trunk down to 10” about halfway towards the end.
20 seer.....lol I work for Rheem our 16 seer footprint us GIGANTIC. I couldn't Imagine 20 seer. Lol....When I was installing the spray on adhesive for the bubble wrap is AWESOME!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED..
Thanks for the video. My wife thinks it’s funny that I do hvac all day and then sit and watch hvac videos. Good stuff.

Nice work. I like using a vibration isolator above the filter box so I can pull the AHU out in The future easily
I love cutting the insulation off on a change out and finding one of those! Makes the job much easier for sure!
Another entertaining and informative video Chuck. You are certainly a craftsman in many fields!
Thanks Keith!
AWESOME Video Chuck, I think I'm going to call in a Pizza after watching it.

All homes with crawl spaces should have their Air handlersand furnaces installed like that would make HVAC techs a lot easier
I agree lol.
Wow! Those supply and return plenums are impressive. That supply plenum had to be time consuming

Great video. Thanks. I never saw those blocks for the steel cable at 39:00. What's the correct technical name for those? Thanks.
They are called cable locks and these were made by Dyna-Tite. Thanks for watching!

You run the same size trunk line the whole length under there? I thought for that distance it have a step down to maintain pressure?

I bet it really sticks good to the bubble wrap! Thanks for watching!
You should patent that base you built and sell that to career. Way better then the combustible floor bases the used to sell
I’d definitely buy one rather than build it lol. Thanks for watching!
What computer program are you using to draw out your sheet metal patterns?
I’m using the cheapest TurboCad that they have for Mac. I grew up on AutoCad so it’s pretty similar and a bunch cheaper lol.
The air handler will be easy to service and won't be in the moisture
No banging.
