I got an 8bitdo controller that’s modeled after the old famicom controller ages ago and it still works on everything i use it for and it’s my favorite way to play retro games…
I have the same controller and I've been using it with my raspberry pi for my retro emulation and so far it's been great I think it's perfect for reto games. Good choice 💪👍
hey speaking of the rog ally i am stuck on what to purchase between that and the steam deck. I wish i could have both but rn my bigggest concern gaming wise is being able to play games like fortnite, sparking zero when ur releases and marvel rivals as well. I share a playstation and don’t exactly get to use it often so i thought a handheld would be beneficial until i get a gaming laptop, can you give any recommendations or what to look for in the rog ally or SD? I heard the ROG has an sd card problem and that worries me the most :,)
@@Bip510 love my ROG Ally. I went with that over the steam deck because it's basically a laptop and can play it all. QVC just had them on sale for 450 and 6 payments of $75.
Simply one of the best controllers on the go. However if buying this for fighting like Street Fifgter, AVOID THIS PARTICULAR COLOR. The pattern on the dpad is bad for ST and the likes. The other colors are great.
@@bunnybreaker It works with fighting and any other games just fine, just like any other 8bitdo controller as you can expect. I heard some folks just had a problem with this gameboy style glossy dpad with 3 small grippy notches, while other 8bitdo controllers built with plain matte textured dpad, like on SNES, N64 and Gamecube controllers. So it's only up to your personal preference.
I love mine. I did get stick drift with my first one after a year or so. My second is going strong. I also have the white pro controller for my switch, and the black windows version for my steamdeck. In that respect, it's better than their pro controllers. It works on both.
You're better off pairing the wireless PS1 receiver with the PS1 Anniversary Edition PS4 Controller...keeps it in the PlayStation ecosystem, retains the look and feel of the PS1 and the controls will feel more "PlayStation"
While preserving the feel is important for many people, having better quality controllers is more important for me. Every product I have purchased from 8bitdo has met or exceeded first party quality every time. I have an older version of this exact controller and I am constantly tempted to buy another one and just keep it on the shelf. I believe they have updated the sticks with hall effect, probably from gulikit.
@@greenprotag Yes, 8bitdo produce really good controllers but the SN30 isn't very comfortable to hold and the buttons feel more SNES-like than PS1-like so again, if you're after the authentic PS1 feel that's design for a PlayStation than you're better off going with the options I outlined above.

8bitdo make the best controllers. I love my Pro2❤

new hall effect stick version they also fixed the dpad with original snes style contacts so diagonals work as they should.
Is it the pro 2 or an updated version of this same controller?
Oh I didn't realise they updated the d-pads on the revision too. I ordered the Genki version
I love mine. I use it for everything. My Rog alley, to my phone, and my Nintendo Switch it works perfectly with it.

StamDeck forever, power is not everything, i prefer VALVE
@@Dr.Akakia will it play games like marvel rivals, fortnite and sparking zero? i really wanna know cuz i’m so unsure

@@Bip510 Not sure but i play Fortnite and call of duty just fine on it. it's amazing for emulation as well.
I've got one of these in combination with the 8bitdo usb adapter it's an awesome controller for emulation 👌
picked mine up after months of considering it.
I want them to make funtastic versions of the N64 controller they released
Checking out analog sticks in game that doesn't not support it was probably the most bizarre parts of this video 😁

Could you elaborate? I've been eyeing these for a while, but it working with fighting games is a must.
Same/agree @@bunnybreaker
Thank You very much for the information dude

Yes, good controller
Hey Wicked Gamer. You should try the CRKD NEO S Controller. It's way better than I thought.

I have the wired version with the same colours, I use it for Batocera.
Is it true that their best design, the first run SN/SF30 Pro were "Cease and Desisted" by Nintendo?
That was 8bitdo's hands down BEST SN30 run.
No.
I hope I can pair it to my RGB20sx! Got two coming in the mail.

Is there any controller similar to DualShock but with XInput?
You should do a video about is Atari 2600 worth playing today?
I've never been able to connect this to my super console x pro, even with the new upgrade....😢
I wanna get this thing for my PC.
broooo, i need to know does it work with Wuthering Waves on Ipad?!?!
Ultimate Wired Controller from them is great for emulation purpose.
First...to say first!
Use It For Everyting Now In 2022... 😓
Do the triggers have 100% activation as soon as you press them or can you modulate it
They are not analog triggers.
👍👍™️
Can i use this on ipad?
Yes
Delay is too high, so its not so good tbh
I have bought 4 different 8bitdo controllers and three of them broke within a year. Bad product. Don’t recommend
I bought 5 and all of them work flawless to this day. Great products, recommed
I don't think you use them right.
In what way did they break?
