Is one clinical elective (4 weeks) enough for clinical experience or what is the recommended length of an elective? Thanks!

I personally did 26 weeks of electives in 2009. Every year many IMGs match without any electives but at the same time, if you have 12 weeks of electives, that makes your application look very good. That being said, something is better than nothing and even 4 weeks electives are better than no USCE. If you understand Urdu/ Hindi, you can check out this video th-cam.com/video/hDwZtS1Flq4/w-d-xo.html

    Electives are only for students?

"Hands on" clinical electives are generally only available for medical students, whereas observerships are available to graduated physicians too.
