My wife and I rented the Basecamp 16 footer for a weekend as our first experience camping in an RV a few years ago. It was the best thing we could have done. Because of our experience in the Basecamp that weekend we decided to buy a 30 Foot Classic. LOL We both felt if we were 30 years younger we would have been fine with it though. I hope you continue to enjoy yours, but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't lead to a longer trailer in the future. We spend 2 to 3 months at a time on the road, so that makes a big difference in how much room we need.
I agree with all your points as I am just completing my first extended trip in my BC 16. Keep giving us your feedback and travel stories, great job…..thx
Stabilizers jacks are for stabilizing, not leveling. I am thinking you have figured this out by now, but just in case you did not I thought I would mention this.
I have 2020 BCX and have had about ten trips in it since 2020 . The camper is good but there are compromises for sure like in everything . I feel like you two are going to have great times on the road . I subbed you
Don't bring it all & don't "move into" the campsite. After every trip, I scale back even more because I always end up with too many things, which I dislike because I'm towing with a Jeep & weight is #1.
Our channels are very similar in size and subscriber/non-subscriber views. We are looking at getting a 16-foot Basecamp in the next 2 years. Looking at a Honda Pilot for towing. I hike, so this would take us to trail heads and let my wife drive around while I backpack. Thanks for sharing your adventures. I enjoyed this a lot!
that was excellent! New rv towers here also..... Found out about the leveling blocks last weekend, also I am getting a 5 gal water jug to refill the freshwater tank if there is no hose hook up available. thx Cheers
Thanks for sharing . It's amazing you're getting about 40% increase in mpg just by going slower. How tall are you guys. How does the bed fits. Are your feet hanging over the edge?
We now use two smaller mattresses from RV Mattress. You can check them out here. www.rvmattress.com/rivetnroll. It allows us to move them, stack them, and still use the table during the day. We do convert the bed to a table pretty much every day so there is a lot of making and unmaking the bed.
You guys are almost able to get monetization with youtube! almost there at 1k subs. Ill be one to help you out as I actually love your stuff. I watched your videos on your toyota rav 4 adventure wich I plan on getting myself
@45-50k for 2021 Basecap 20X - I'll feel better buying into an index fund and have 62k at the end of 12 to 18 months - airstream is nice but still depreciating every month
On top of the experiences we've been able to enjoy, a model 3 years older than ours is currently listed for more than what we paid. If we chose to look at this as an investment, it would be appreciating right now. www.rvtrader.com/listing/2018-Airstream-Basecamp-16-5017765246

Well duh by the logic you should just throw in some cash to index funds, bonds etc and never spend anything recreational. Sounds like a boring life 😂 people get so caught up in investing/ saving they forget to live in the present and that life is short. Not saying live beyond your means but if it’s something you really want do it !

Yes we think this is just the beginning of our Airstream road. :)

Very interesting! I’m looking into getting a mobile home/camper. It’s nice to have someone who will tell you the pitfalls!
What lessons did you learn when you first started RVing? We’re sure we have a lot of lessons in our future.

Thank you for your videos! They are very informative. We are looking at the 20x for our first trailer.

Room-temperature (empty) ice pack....LOL, good stuff ! Which battery-operated fans did you go with ?
We ended up with these from Trema on Amazon amzn.to/3yoQ1vP
can you tell me what mattress you got and how you travel with the bed... unmake, make daily.

Thanks for sharing. My 16x coming May 2022!
I thought the mic was a design on her shirt. Lol.
Thanks for the videos.
I thought the basecamp has air conditioning? I'm considering buying one this fall, and AC is a must have for me.
It does have AC but you need to be plugged in. The AC cannot run on solar.
@@aaronandamanda Gotcha. Thanks for the reply!
Either plugged or a generator.
Love you videos! What do you all do for your full time work?
Was the flat from something you ran over or was it a tire defect?
We ran over something and got a pretty big hole. It couldn’t be patched so we had to have it replaced. Nothing too bad though!
You two are adorable! I enjoy watching your videos!
Girlfriend-Whats in your mug.? :)
do you have any outside tenting?
We don't have the outside tents that you can get for the basecamps. We have our own pop-up awning type thing but we don't usually bring it.
Love your content! You're the best! This is my obligatory content to improve your results in the TH-cam algorithm. :)
You’re towing with a rav4? I have a rav4 as well and was wondering… ☺️
Let me know when you are ready to sell.
You guys went up one. Just made 956 subscribers. 👍
Thank you! Welcome to the team!
Does the basecamp have heat? I live in the Northeast and it get freezing
Yes! There are electric and gas heat options in our Basecamp. We camp in the cold too!
@@aaronandamanda Thanks for answering back!. I’m looking to get a basecamp 20x If I can get financing!😁

What do u pull your bc with?

Did you guys name her for Carmen San Diego?
Yes we did! Our tow vehicle is even named Diego
@@aaronandamanda That is a blast from the past.🤣
Not much of a product review that I was expecting.
What do you tow with?
Hi! We made a video walking through what we use. You can check it out here.

Cool... why did you feel the need to comment on this? Would it not be true for any $50k purchase?

You don’t have that if you bought that back then. Stocks have tanked and depreciated like a mfer
