So this is just my opinion but I think that it's really a shame that Clapton isn't back. She created the world of GoT so realistic and almost believable. Every region has its own look, fabrics, culture, religion. I'm scared that House of the dragon won't be the same bc of what we saw, for now, queen Alicent looks like a typical Tudor era queen/noble lady and the fabrics look a bit plasticky ( but maybe they need to save money ). But I'm still excited and I still have my hopes up. And by the way, I love your channel and how detailed you are with describing every costume :)
I like the look they gave Daemon. The only thing I'm worried about is the sword. Dark Sister is really important and I hope they get it right, unlike what was done with Dawn on GoT.
watched this before but getting back to comment. I love Joggi's comment about the steel + scales. I do admit I find it curious that the styles/fashion hasn't changed that much. Personally I think it's because they're afraid to break from what they think the audience expects to see in high fantasy. I had no clue about the detachable detail! I'm so numb that I never really pulled in an Asian inspiration, but that makes sense now as to also why I'm fond of that style. THank you for pulling up the cross references to the parallel styles. I DO love that knot detail. I never would have thought of the clasp but that's lovely. I'm not a great judge on wigs as I don't pay enough attention, but I'm okay with the general look. It's also hard to tell without editing/light/tone correction or even official photography as some things are made to look better on stage/screen than as is.
Can't wait for this show!🐉 I'm sad Clapton is not involved. But excited to see Jany Temime's take on Westeros fashion. I loved her work on Judy and the Harry Potter films ❤
It looks like black/red/dark grey and silver jewelry are the Targaryen colour/style. Which fits because they are the last surviving house of Valyria. Like lava in the mountains where dragons supposedly came from. It'll be interesting to see more of the Targaryen style.
Once again, first! I'm on a roll! 😆😆😆😁😁 The subtle details are nice to notice, but it is still maddening how unoriginal this look is! It needs to be ripped from his body, transported 180 years into the future and given to Jon Snow cause that boy needs some nice threads. Should I design a costume for Daemon? That usually lowers my frustration at a particular costume a bit.😩😩
i really like the costume, especially the raptile pattern in the sleeves. Also: the wig is better, especially considered that wigs in such a light colour is often times hard to wear for most actors. The contrast between the actors natural skin undertone and the bleached hair is to different.
Hi Rachel, I was just looking at the character posters and it appears that Daemon has long hair in the flashbacks but in the current timeline his hair is shoulder length like Viserys and Rhaeghar.
Yes can't wait see your costume break downs when tha show begins.Thank you for your time.
Thanks Edward!
I like that the pattern on Daemon's coat mirrors the look of Valyrian steel, and the sleeves kind of look like lizard skin
Thanks so much for commenting.
same! I thought it looked like a raptile pattern, wich fits in my oppinion

I forgot to mention that there was something on Daemon's belt but I think it's a dagger. Maybe in a teaser we will see Dark Sister.

Yes, I will miss Clapton too.
Such delightful content.

Still waiting for the big sword duel between Jon Snow and the Night King
That would have been awesome.
So far I'm not very happy with the costumes; they look like recycle game of thrones costumes but we will see
Hi Vanessa, it's early days. Hopefully we will see some exciting costumes ahead.
@@Costume_CO I hope so. I hope they mantain the Quality of the extras and small characters costumes as well they were the best in the last few seasons
Every other Targaryen has very long hair which gives them a regal look; But not Daemon, a pity
