I don't think it's that while it has some reality to the problem but its the fact in my opinion that A. the mentality of cars can be replaced minset and not cherishing it plus the amount of unroadworthy or unisured cars are becoming such a problem that driving is a game to these drivers as they have no investment put into the car and it'll just get scrapped anyway, also point B. is foreigners that think they know the road system then pass the test safley then proceed to drive like maniacs from wherever they came from. Hope that made sense.

Its people like that which are going to inevitably ruin cycling for everyone with their complete lack of perspective and weird, frankly broken mindset that the highway code doesn't seem to apply to them. In 1972 I bought a new BMW (yes, I'm an old man) and thought I was king of the road, it seems that still applies to BMW drivers! In many of these situations there is contributory negligence, where one driver is 20-30% at fault. If they had a more defensive attitude there would be no incident.

2:08 actually the cyclist and motor cyclist should be aware of the possibility of pedestrians crossing anywhere on the road, especially since there’s a bus stop on the left. There could have been a designated crossing place (dropped kerb with paving slabs that are textured with raised bumps). There’s a gap of several yards between the car being overtaken and the next car in front, which would suggest that the car at the head of the stationary queue had stopped for several seconds, possibly to let a pedestrian cross in front of them. The cyclist should have wondered why a car was halted when there’s a clear gap in front of them.

The car that was stationary could have stopped to let the pedestrian cross in front of them. I reminded myself of this rule today on a motorway roundabout, lorry in front of me going over the lines into my lane ahead of me, i know there is a narrow exit for the 2 lane exit off the roundabout so i stayed back. Watched him exit, and lo and behold he is in the middle of both lanes pretty much bang centre of the white lines. If i'd continued next to him he probably would have pushed me off the road or crashed into me. Interesting factoid: Flashing your lights at someone _doesn't_ mean "hey, you can go, I'm letting you go first" as it seems to be commonly believed. According to the _actual_ rules of the road it really means _DON'T GO I'M HERE/APPROACHING_ - the complete opposite of what almost everyone is trying to say when they flash their lights at you. Not sure when people in general switched the meanings over, but a friend of mine actually failed his driving theory test and that was one of the questions he got wrong. Also, I might have also failed that test with the same wrong answer to that same question ... luckily mine was only a practise test and not the real thing lol

      It's contextual.
When driving it usually a warning, when stopped it's to let people know you will allow them to enter traffic, (not blast off!, as some drivers seem to think).
It can be safe provided the entering driver isn't a plonker and still uses caution when crossing.
I only let people cross when I can see it's safe both ways, just in case they are the blast off! type.
Officially I have no idea what it meant, and can't even recall learning it. (years ago mind you)

#61 Cyclist had long enough with the pedestrian in view to slow down earlier despite speeding up the blind side of the cammer's van. He tried to cut left in front of the pedestrian, pedestrian tried to run out of his path. Wet roads had no impact apart from in the final 2 feet the cyclist actually braked. All responsibility goes on cyclist for aggressively trying to cut through traffic approaching bus stops.

Being a cyclist, in my opinion the incident at 5.07 where a cyclist ran into a car emerging from the junction seems like a deliberate collision on the cyclist’s part. The car driver was in the wrong but the cyclist had loads of time to slow down, he should have been aware of the car emerging from the junction. I’m sure some cyclists cause themselves harm due to all the rules surrounding them and are of the opinion ‘I’m always in the right’ attitude.

The comment on #80 gets it completely wrong, by assuming there are two lanes on to the roundabout and off again at the exit, but looking at the laning on the roundabout this is not the case. There are two lanes going around, the left for making exits, and the right for continuing around, aka a "standard roundabout". This means that regardless of the fact the exit in question is a dual carriageway, you must be in the left lane for exiting there, regardless of which lane on the DC you plan to use. The left lane has two purposes here, exit and continuing around. While unconventional, it is permissible to stay in the left lane all around this roundabout. The lorry proceeds onward, as is acceptable, and the red car, in the right lane, attempts to go across the left lane to exit, which is not acceptable. You could argue that the lorry was driving oddly, but in either case, the red car should not have been crossing lanes to exit, it should have been in the left lane too.
Compare this with #94, where there are two lanes for turning left, and two lanes at that exit. The lanes are clearly marked for this purpose, and thus anyone in those lanes should ONLY be turning left. To continue straight on in that case is an error. But these two roundabouts are laned completely differently.
Not all roundabouts are created equal!

Cyclist and motorcyclist both in the wrong for speeding down past the queue of traffic . 'Filtering' means to proceed slowly at walking pace , not to tear down at unabated speed and make no allowances for pedestrians , which might include children , to step out at any time .
