@@JohnDoe-yq9ml no I own 4 caniks I own the sfx the executive with the vortex viper the sc elite and the tp9sa model. Good try but you far off. They all have a really nice trigger it's very crisp and the reset is minimal

I have had a SFX and found it to be one of the best 9 mm pistols ever. After 500 rounds the trigger settled down to a consistent 3.5 lb pull. With a Vortex Viper red dot it was able to shoot a 3 inch group at 50 yards with 124 grn rounds from a rest. Awesome pistol!
I own 3 Caniks(Mete SFT, TP9 Elite SC and TP9 Elite SC w/red dot) and two shotguns also made in Turkey. They are good stuff so I'm not real concerned about what others think about Turkey

Bought a Canik TP9-v2 when I turned 21 and still have it almost a decade later. Great affordable gun package.
I really love my Caniks. I’m not gonna compare it to anything, but I will say that I enjoy shooting them above some of the pistols I paid 5x’s more. Love the trigger outta the box and the sights. Super impressed with them.

Semper Fi, I just got my first Canik and I love it.
I feel terrible, but i've sold my fleet of Glocks and replaced them all with the equivalent sized Caniks. ❤
I did keep my 43 and 19X.
As they ate my personal favorite Glocks.

As a budget minded retiree - also called a broke geezer (lol) - I find it marvelous that there are so many quite splendid modern pistols in the marketplace that DON' T cost an arm and a leg. Not bashing the high cost fare either - they are often worth the up-charges, but there is something quite good out there for every budget.
Have some more expensive firearms, but the Canik, G3C, and M&P Sport2 are great options for very little money, some of the first guns I picked up and they shoot great irrelevant of the cost.

@@dnmoscato92 it's the first guns a lot of people get. I was lucky and inherited some pretty great stuff my grandfather had collected from the 40s to the 90s.
@@dnmoscato92 big difference between cheap and inexpensive also. The Canik is amazing for the price, but better than a lot of stuff that costs slightly more.

I have 2 caniks and I love them both, better handling than a Glock and a better price. I personally don’t mind the trigger travel because the break is so clean, I can put a full mag through a very small group. The reset has genuinely spoiled me. Glad to see it on the channel
Just bought my first a TP9SFX a few months ago put a 1000+ rounds down range zero issues from shot one.
The mete is sweet. I have the mete sfx. And she nice.
Just bought my second one and that reset is great! I think I am going to buy a Rival next, love the Canik brand and the value.

Almost 8 years ago you were my first hero and one of the first tubers to grab TP9 and TP9 sa in your hands. I am super duper impressed, as one of the finest civil shooters I have ever seen still personally owning TP9SA. I think my country did a good job with producing Canik Firearms family. We love you grandpa and your shovel hands. 😁
I've had the Canik TP9V2 for several years. Awesome gun. I am thinking to add this METE to my collection. I will never give up the TP9V2

i just picked up this exact model, put 100 rounds through it and absolutly love it!! it runs smooth, sights are dead on. the trigger reset is crazy short! so glad i bought it!!

Love my mete sfx. Great shooter. My most accurate pistol out of 2 decades of shooting and 8 or so pistols I own.
I walked into our local gun shop few years ago and they had gotten a Canik SF9. I couldn’t quit looking at it. I went back to get it and they had just sold it then I spotted a new Canik SF9 elite. It became my daily carry. I grew up a Ruger fan and now I’m a huge fan of Canik. I just bought the Canik Combat executive. Flat trigger and the best handgun I’ve ever fired.
I just bought this gun yesterday. My first ever gun and I love it. Compared to all the guns I’ve shot it feels amazing.

Been debating on picking one up. I never fired one. I'm an HK glock guy so I really didn't want to invest in a new platform during these times. Do they make any other caliber than 9mm?

This is my 2nd Canik. Bought it recently and taking it to the range for the first time in a few days. My first one is a TP9SA and I prefer it to my Glock 19X.
Which trigger betterr? Sa or sfx
I have the SFT METE, love it. Very accurate and my gunsmith/competition shooter friend bought one after trying mine. He says the trigger is competition style right out of the factory.
I have the canik tp9 sf elite for my main carry gun and i love that thing , that's one of the smoothest shooting pistols I've ever shot
My old shooting range in Turkey were using Caniks as their to-go weapon for visitors that dont have firearms. All the guns were at least 10-20-30 thousand shots old and were still performing quite good.
I’ve had the TP9 SA for 6 years. Absolutely love it.
Recently bought the Mete SFX and can't say enough good things about it. I like the new design with the rear sight not cut into optics cover plate. I don't mind the trigger take-up, but do like the short reset.

I love mine. Shoots as smooth as butter, and right out of the box, the sights are dead on. The ambi controls are awesome, as I shoot lefty, and very easy to work. A tad on the large side for EDC, but other than that, it's my favorite pistol.

Picked up my SFX Meaty last weekend. Super balanced & great smooth shooting pistol. Can't beat everything you get with the kit for the $$$$ you spend. I'm a decent shooter (at times) & this thing will certainly improve my game. This & my FNX-45 tactical are my favorites to shoot
Those two pistols are what I currently have and I can't find a reason to get another. They are both perfect for me.
@@Bearjones13. Yeah man, those 2 pistolas are fantastic. I'm thinking about buying another FNX 45 in black & a Canik rival in grey & gold which looks just like the mete and would perform like it too
I never gave Canik a second thought, but man they have gotten some cool models out in the past few years, and good quality, great reviews too!

My wife bought a SFX White Out and after shooting it I ran out and bought a SFX Rival for myself. Big fan.
I been eyeing the whiteout at my local lgs. How does she like it? Would you recommend the sfx rival instead?
@@PatrickCavanaugh0420 my father in law has the White Out, and after shooting it I started shopping. I ended up with a Rival DarkSide. Really loved the looks, trigger and additional optic plate to cowitness. You will not go wrong with either one.

Bought a SFX METE last week.Ran a quick range trip with a box and a half of 115 FMJ and it performed perfectly.Love it.

Nice review sir! Thank you. I bought a CANIK TP9SA Mod2 for $499CAD ($397USD) last year & I am extremely satisfied with it. Very nice accessory package, reliable, great shooter & excellent trigger.
I've had my TP9 SA since May 2016 and have put thousands of rounds through it with no malfunctions and it is very accurate and reliable , plus the ergonomics are fantastic , very comfortable to shoot. If someone is looking for a very affordable and really well made handgun , they should take a good look at the Canik line of handguns , you can still get the TP9 SA for $350 -400 even with all the skrocketing prices of everything .
I just turned 18 and I have the tp9sa Is it your every day carry and if so what are your thoughts on carrying it like comfort , weight , etc

I have the Canik Tp9 Elite Combat Executive. No problems with about 300 shots through. It’s a great shooter, and of course the trigger is amazing!

I bought my first Canik 2 weeks ago. I now own 3, and have a 4th on layaway. Picked up the combat elite executive the other day ago. No handgun I have ever owned has been this accurate and pleasant to shoot.....at even triple the price.

I love my Tp9 SFX. It’s one hell of an accurate handgun, and the trigger is sooooo good out of the box. I can’t wait for the summer leagues to start.
I'm a Glock fanboy I freely admit, but I also own several other very nice firearms and enjoy shooting/carrying them all. I decided to see what Cantik is all about and recently bought a new SFT. I have to admit the trigger straight up is the best I've ever seen on a striker fired pistol out of the box. The gun is very high quality throughout and very well thought out. It's a little on the large size for concealed carry, but IMO, that's not its purpose. Canik makes a smaller model for that. I like owning guns in all different calibers and would love to see Canik offer this up in .40 and .45. Awesome review, as always Hickock45!

Hickok is more accurate with one hand than I am on a bench rest
I have the SFT version of the mete. Haven’t had any problems with mine through 1,000 rounds in a few months. Love it. One of my home defense guns and it’s my nightstand gun for when I travel.
I have both the SFX and SFT. They both are amazing. I prefer the SFT for home defense and practice. It easily has become my favorite pistol.
CANIK made adjustments to the METE. the Optics Plate is now co-witness as the Previous TP9 SFX to put an optic you had to remove the back sight. They also fixed any feeding issues that the TP9SFX had. This METE will eat anything. The other day was talking with someone at the range talking about Hicock45 reviewing a CANIK and this drops lol.

Canik’s use to be priced $398.00 & definitely competes with Glock! Just not easier to conceal than Glock. Being a Glock fan I’d buy a Canik 1st 🥇

I have one of these (all black) and it's really nice to shoot and very accurate.
People often comment that Caniks are great guns "for the money." Wrong. They are great guns regardless of price. They shoot better out of the box than 80% of pistols out there. Then for an extra $100, you can replace the 4 springs to make it an even better Gucci gun killer. I own the Mete SFX and TP9SFX. Both are simply amazing, reliable, extremely accurate pistols. Guns twice their price don't shoot nearly as well. Not to mention that they give you multiple mounting plates, cleaning kit, holsters, etc in a laser cut foam case. They raise the bar for all pistol makers. I wish they would make an AR-15 rifle. They'd kill the competition. Canik makes Glock look like a child's toy.

I have this gun carry it everyday have about 1000 rounds through it not one problem love it just like I love my canik tp9sf elite. Side not out of the two guns I just mentioned you can interchange the frame and slides they work perfectly with eachother

Nice firearms and they perform well. I have a 2015 TP9 SA Mod v.2 and have a few thousand rounds through it. There's a guy on Yioutube that runs gun safety classes that the students use the TP9 SA and posted a video of 50,000 rds through one and still functions fine. Well built and proven to be reliable, a few thousand rounds in mine and NO malfunctions except ONE which was the ammo.

I have the Mete SFX and I carry the standard TP9SF, they’re both really great pistols! Wouldn’t mind adding the Elite SC to my collection for a smaller concealed carry option.
I have a TP9SF-Elite ... My Favorite ...been 100% functional to date over about 4 years ..
I have this version, get it! No issues and is smooth as butter. It would be nice if there was an extra big backstrap to push that felt trigger break forward but it's perfect for me. Still hard to find mags and threaded barrels at the moment.. but get it! edit: I use this for home defense and local competitions. Also, compared to the sfx this feels mountains better in the hand, the trigger safety doesn't catch any, and the undercut trigger guard makes worlds of difference.
Yes sir, picked mine up this past Saturday..beautiful piece! Bought the tp9sf as my first intro to canik and was instantly sold on the quality, usability and the Best value hands down. Hard to find a better striker trigger IMHO..love.. love..love canik!!
@@morganyates6598 I’ve been on the fence about Canik for 2 yrs now…I’ve seen some mixed reviews on the SF model but the price has slowly increased over the past couple of yrs. I don’t think there are quality issues, some people limp wrist when target practicing and I’ve mainly seen negative reviews when using cheap steal cased ammo. I own a Glock 32 Gen 4 but I want another 9mm for home defense and this 5.2 inch barrel fits the bill lol, plus I love the FDE color

There is zero quality issues on any of the 3 I have. I have multiple hundreds of rounds through each and have been regret free on all of them. These are packed full of goodies, cleaning kit, tool, several backstraps, 2 mounting plates for optics, speed loader, kydex holster! The holsters are very nice! These come with Warren tactical sights, match grade barrel, mec-gar mags.. and the oh so fine canik triggers! Seriously can't go wrong, the mete sfx is beautiful! Prices are going up indeed, if it fits the bill for your needs I wouldn't hesitate, you won't be disappointed at all!
I bought a canik+1 magazine for 279, love it, it's my edc, glock20 for the woods, both just as reliable
love the elite combat and the elite combat executive.
One thing about Mr Hickok is that he can shoot man. He really is very impressive. Been watching his videos since i was maybe 14 or 15.

I was at my friend's house the other day who runs a shop, and had the chance to mess with the Canik stx Rival.
I think you'd enjoy the trigger on that one more than this, it's built more strictly for competition.
It's a pretty interesting handgun, might pick one up to play around with at the range.

My local gun shop has a Canik just like that with a trigger job by Canik. Hands down the best striker fired trigger I've encountered yet, like it better then the CZ, PDP, PPQ. Makes it a $700 pistol tho

He has been an avid shooter since 1972 I believe. Unless you have the $$$ right up front, it took him quite a long time to accumulate all that. I would bet he even searched out property to have the idea gun range on his property. If it wasn't for sponsors, the amount of ammo he goes through would bankrupt most of us.
