this is why i like ur reviews no one else breaks the phone down like u. no one showed the resolution features to save battery. y i love erica she does the deep reviews i know wat i like about the phone already without seeing it yet. other reviews ive always had to wait until i see it the to decide with erica i decide wen she does the reviews
for the translate feature.. do you need data or connected to a WiFi? or everything is like pre loaded?

yeah the only reason Note 4 users have to not update now is removable battery.

I'm definitely switching. I got the 6s Plus, and if the leaks are true? the 7 will look almost identical to the 6, with an ugly camera hump. So why wouldn't I switch? especially now that Android isn't like it used to be. It's really improved over the years, and is really smooth now, and I'm sure a lot of Apple fans will be thinking the same as me.

I am still on the fence as the IR blaster is still missing. Also, the 3500 battery seems barely enough for the display... With that said, there is a lot to like on this phone.

I seem to be completely alone and unique in my requirements for a phone. I was really looking forward to buying the note 7 but found it doesn't have an IR blaster which was the decision maker. I'm an engineer and used the thermometer and barometer chip in the note 3, but the Note 4 which is what I stopped at doesn't have a thermometer. I don't care about the colour or feel of the phone. I want the specifications to improve not worsen. The note 5 doesn't have the sd slot so couldn't move up to that. At one time phones even came with FM radio chips. My emphasis is on the technical specifications and features and as far as I'm concerned phones are getting worst to save money in production and now just trying to become pretty to appeal to social climbers. I'm waiting for a phone to arrive with full features. But I guess that'll never happen now.
+Kevin Barnes sadly the features that we wish these phones still had are considered antiquated technology in this web age. Sigh.
And you never considered the LG V10? I'm with you, I prefer function over form. I'd prefer a phone not be made of such delegate materials. If I want it to look good, I'll throw a case on it. The V10 didn't have FM radio on it, but the V20, being released next month, will. The V10 is supposed to get it in a software update. It has the hardware, but it's disabled. A root can do the trick though.
+deucedaprodeuca Thank you. I will research this. I have to say, I like having the stylus on the note, I use it for work and personal. I think the s pen apps are good too. I. I'm not a devout Samsung person so I'll look into the LG but will miss the s pen
+Kevin Barnes Though it doesn't come with an Spen, it does have now features. You can quick launch a memo and write on your screen, then send the memo to pretty much anywhere. Also, you'll love the 2nd screen. Unlike the Galaxy edge devices, this screen is actually functional. I'm no fanboy, and I rarely get the next iteration of a device after I've already had the previous, but I'm looking forward to the LG V20. I use the IR blaster regularly. It even has manual video controls. You can control the direction of sound, ISO, and all other aspects of recording WHILE recording. And snapping pictures in RAW mode then editing them using Photo Mate R3 is amazing. I can't say enough about it.
Kevin Barnes not to mention it has removable battery and SD card slot that can hold up to 2 TERABYTES (if they ever make them).

Better camera? I'd heard it was the same as the Edge 7. Or are you saying it's better than the Note 5's camera? Either way, I'm not impressed enough to get rid of my 1-year old Note 4 just yet. The MM update made it every bit as useful as the Note 5, and I'm saving a ton of money not buying any new phone right out of the gate. Great review, as usual, but I'm just not that impressed so far.

I'm coming from Windows Phone (Lumia 950XL) I've been having an internal battle with myself for the last year on whether or not to go to Android and after 5 long years of being resistant to switching phones and being loyal to Windows Phone I'm finally ready to switch and embrace what Samsung and Android has to offer. Can't wait for my Note 7 in Onyx Black! It's only been a couple days since the launch and I'm already tired of looking at videos on it! I want to hold it in my hand and use it for once!

That's what I hear. The reason I'm switching besides the complete lack of apps is because of it's open operating system. It's the closest thing to Windows Phone so that's why I'm switching to Android, although I would never switch to the iPhone. I can't stand the restrictions that Apple puts on their phones. 100% a power user here. Thus the desire for the Note

USB C, HDR display, S Pen, 64 GB unternal storage, Iris scanner. Besides these, yes it is basicaly an S7 edge
i need the split screen capability, does the S7 have it? even so, for that feature the bigger screen is better for me

All these other features are people trying to convince themselves that it isn't too similar to s7 edge. It just plain is too similar. The cheek from Sammy repackaging the s7 like this. I'm their biggest fan and this ain't good enough. Each to their own though. I've got the s7 edge, plain madness to get this

Great video Erica! I am happy I stumbled across your YT. I currently have the Note 5 and I am curious if you had a chance to play with the Note 7's camera? My biggest complaint is low light quality, I take a lot of pictures of the night sky so I hope Samsung truly did fix that issue with the bigger focal lens. I am also curious as to why they went to a 12mp camera from a 16mp, can you see a difference? One more question! When you were doing the screen off writing test there was a constellation picture on the screen, is that standard?

In case you happen to have time to answer questions. Did you notice any issues with excessive heat (battery or sd card area) while you were using the Note 7? The issue seems to be happening with the S7 Galaxy.
