      No alignment rods in sight. One shot pulled - the first swing of the day - and the rest are just lasers.

    The good players that don’t have much speed like him are so straight. Mini tours are full of them. 105-110mph straight down the pipe time after time after time.
    A lot of them end up being great putters as well and they usually make it long term. They just shoot 68 over and over. Not many 62s and not many 75s. Good stuff

      I was like what you talking about but then realized that’s true for PGA tour guys. The bar is so high. 110 is considered low and 115-120 is better. You see so many guys hitting 175 ball speed now.

    I just went through a similar club selection, but I’m not on tour. I ended up with the stealth 2 plus 2H at 17°. I wasn’t confident on top of the UDI’s and that 2H launches missiles. Super small club head size but makes you feel confident on top of it. I go driver at 10° TSR2, 3W at 13°(14.5° with draw bias) TSR2+, 2H at 17° stealth 2 plus, 7W at 21° stealth 2.

    Trottie, can you explain the “old ruler” vs “new ruler” more in depth please. That is very interesting. I knew clubs have gotten longer but is that only because of the way they’re measured? Thank you!

    • @trottiegolf
      @trottiegolf  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nah they've gotten longer too as a result of the advancements in the head weighting and also the shafts.
      USGA ruler basically measures from the center of the sole to the but of the grip (or the shaft dependent on how you are calling it out)
      So it's a housing to secure the club in order to measure the length in a conforming manner

    How are these guys getting the distances? They are with a swing that looks so effortless is it? Are they still swinging? You know a full power swing like that and they just also have great ball striking and maybe their club lofts are a little strong and are just able to hit in the sweet spot every single time. But I know the launch monitors show their club head speed. Their ball speed is just crazy ahead of amateurs. What is going on there? Because I feel like I look at an amateur just swing the s*** out of a club and get decent contact on it. And it is 30 yd short of these guys on every club. It's not magic fairy dust. There's something there that they've got going on that the rest of us aren't able to get.

    • @trottiegolf

      Torque and ground force...
      A Successful powerful golf swing is a sequence not a whack with the arms.
      I have a guy coming on for a fitting called Mason Greene, just wait till you see his speed!!

      @@trottiegolf you got a video showing how to work on the mechanics of that. Like specifically what it takes to have the effortless looking swing that has the distance and the breakdown of the major mechanics you need to master. Obviously we won't be able to totally replicate the pros but I feel like I'll have that random Goldilocks zone moment where my 6 iron has this amazing ball flight the swing feels otherworldly and the ball strike was perfect and I'll hit the thing like 190 carry vs 165.
