In fairness, this is about the best they could do with a hunk of stale bread, some wilted lettuce, and that jar of pickles you don't even remember buying.

There was more character development in the first 15 minutes of Han Solo being introduced in the original trilogy, than there was for this lot through three movies. Oh, and Han shot first.

The Rise of Skywalker is the only time we see all supposed three main leads on screen sharing a conversation, I can’t even remember a time before this movie where Poe and Rey talked to each other.

Probabably because it is a bit spoilery, I'm surprised they didn't use the part where Rey battles Palpatine and she says I am all the Jedi, I was half expecting her to say I am Iron Man

I mean, that's a pretty good explanation for almost any movie...

Or how they fixed Luke’s lightsaber after being destroyed in episode 8?

stinger 59605 It’s inconsistent for example: The first movie clearly implies that they arrived in 2007 and bumblebee was the first one. But in “The last knight” it is implied that the transformers arrived on earth since the medieval times. See my point?
The X-Men movie series also manages to be repetitive and inconsistent at the same time.

TROS really disappointed me, but that cameo makes it worth it so much. I have spend every day since TFA was announced hoping to see John in one of the movies
I'd even disagree with this. Can you remember any theme from the sequel trilogy beyond Rey's theme? I can't...and I'm not even sure what Williams does to develop Rey's theme. I may need to watch the films more (I'd rather not), but I am struggling. They aren't bad scores by any means (John Williams' worst score is still better than near any other composer!), but they aren't particularly interesting either. The scores for the PT and, especially, the OT are far more interesting.

The reason the music is not memorable is because the new trilogy lacks epic moments that forge the music into the story. That is not Williams fault.

So the Rise of Skywalker is basically the story of how a young woman stole Luke's identity.
Correction: the entire series has been reduced to the Palpatines destroying and then impersonating the Skywalkers.
Rey didn't nobody's identity.

I watched Return of the Jedi with my daughter and I always get choked up when Luke sees the three ghosts at the end... THAT is the end of the Skywalker Saga for me.
That's why in the beginning of this honest trailer they say "the conclusion to force awakens", not the star wars saga. Cuz it is Definitely not that

It is. This trilogy is no more connected than all the of expanded universe stories of yore. It's Star Wars but written by totally different people with totally different ideas and even less (far less) consistency with the core stories or rules of the universe.

Really, the thing that hurts these movies the most is that there was no plan at all. Why would you let an iconic trilogy with a massive fanbase be passed between different directors with different plans for the series like the child of a divorced couple?
Imagine if in Empire, Darth Vader said that he was Luke's father, just for him to say "oh, I was lying" in Return of the Jedi. If the Emperor wasn't introduced in Empire and was just shoehorned into the opening text crawl in RotJ, like "oh yeah, you thought Vader was the big bad? Nope, this is his boss. Don't question it..."

What made the endgame final scene better was that we knew every character that arrived at the end and what it meant for them to show up and they had staggered entrances. In this movie they just all came at once without anyone knowing who they were.

Adam Ferry how did it copy TROS, that interaction in Endgame made much more sense within the writing?
And TROS was still doing reshoots into last November, so it’s not like the script was unchanged the entire time.
From just the movie, it feels like they just took some regular stormtroopers, slapped some cool armor and weapons on them, and called them the knights of ren.
It’s incredible how unlike the last two, honest trailer isn’t even attempting to defend or “from a certain point of view” this movie. Just goes to show how so many have run out of reasons and/or excuses to like this trilogy at this point(and how bad things have gotten).

When you realize the ending of the movie to the last detail (bunch of litteral death stars, playing the main theme, all ships and main characters teaming up at the end) was already done in Futurama Benders Big score...
So in the end, Palpatine couldn’t have his thousand year Empire so he ended the Skywalker lineage and had his granddaughter steal their name.

Yeah, it's pretty horrifying if you think about. The Skywalker line is ended. Everything Luke and Anakin did was for nothing and the Palpatines have won. Rey has taken Luke's X-Wing, his lightsaber, his home and even his freaking NAME. JJ Abrams is a nihilist who just wants to "leave his mark" on a franchise, like a dog pissing on a tree.

My favorite part of the movie was when Rey and Kylo instantaneously teleported objects to one another using magic because the plot said so
3PO is literally the only consistent character across all 9 films, and has the best actor behind him. He’s been in everything from the LEGO animation spin offs, to the video games. Antony Daniels shows more love to his character than anyone else in Star Wars. And he’s probably the most wholesome part about this franchise.
If you go to his imdb you'll find out he was in the star wars monopoly video game, the rest of the cast probably

@@alexanderliu9376 I hate the sequels but at least I can admit The Last Jedi was a beautifully shot film and if Rey wasn't such a Mary Sue and they got Luke's character right it would've been better than the prequels. Ep. 9 tried to fix the mess 8 was but it was too late and now they hired George to make retcons so let's see how that turns out.
There wasn’t much Disney influence on TFA or TLJ, I think TRoS and Rogue One are the only ones that seemingly had Disney’s hands all over them
