I'm not exactly sure how you grinded exp, but diglett has pretty low special. Its possible you could have beaten Agatha without items if you grinded more stat exp. @Jrose11 You know what, if you were to apply the logic of using items and an extensive knowledge of missingno. It is possible to get any pokemon over lvl 100. And like you said, the question is "is it possible?" Items are a fully intended part of the game, unlike glitches, where an argument could be made that they shouldn't be used.
Great video as always brother. I have a couple additional strategies you might not have considered for those future hard solo runs/challenges. You can fight the legendary birds for xp. It could get you a bunch of extra xp if you need it for the last rival fight (before e4) if youre out of trainers to fight and cant risk losing too much money. You also can max stat xp (gen 1&2 evs) through grinding, for all stats. The mechanics behind it work differently from evs, but it is still similar. Something important to note is that the game will recalculate the stat xp changes by depositing and withdrawing the pokemon. This means that you can grind after reaching lv 100 (commonly referred to as the box trick). I hope this helps in your quest to solo runs all 151

6:55 As you mention with Gen IX... I learn the hard way. My fave always been Gengar since Pocket Monsters Stadium, and seeing how early you can get a Gastly... I got one, evolved it to a Haunter, traded it to a friend and back to me. Expecting it to listen. It didn't. Supposedly when you trade away YOUR Pokémon and get it back, it's obedient level is that of what you get it back at. So with no badges, a level 25 Gengar would never listen to me. BUT... at least in Gen IX... if I took that Gastly/Haunter, throw it into Home, bring it to Legends Arceus, Link Cord it into a Gengar, and bring it back to an IX game... it listens. The way obidience work in IX makes no damn sense, in my opinion.

Ah, the memories. I remember seeing the original magikarp video, seems like it's been ages.
Hey, I just just recommended this on another one of your videos! Happy to see you do it.
a sequel to one of the best vids was not something I ever anticipated, but greatly enjoy. I never knew about those distribution magikarps so it's nice to see our favourite fish trying to dominate in gen 1!
9:30 caught me off guard, I love it
The intro is here, JRose coming in swinging
It's tied to your gym badges, every two gym badges raise the level. In Gen 9 your obedience level affects all Pokemon, traded or native to you
I love the og intro so much.
