This does seem cool. I bought a Steam Deck on sale but I find it a bit too large to use on the regular. I honestly would just love to find a relatively cheap and powerful large screen phone that I can throw my Razer Kishi V1 on and be good. Using my main phone for gaming isnt really ideal as I dont want to kill the battery. This is SO CLOSE to what I'd want but it's a bit more expensive than I'm ready for. Honestly I will probably pick it up when it hits a good sale. I'm just glad this market continues to grow.

Just lazy thinking to say that one device (which has its own innate drawbacks, not to mention downgrades compared to the previous gen) is the best buy for all consumers and use cases. Pocket PC reviews should put the device up against the competition in the same price/size bracket, illustrate why one device may have more value to a particular kind of user/in a specific use case, and then let the buyer decide.
I want an OLED screen tho and the Odin 2 is over kill this can run Nintendo switch roms smoothly now it was just the support of the CPU not the actual performance I'm taking this over the Odin 2
I'd definitely consider it at $250. There's better alternatives at $300, especially if you don't mind buying second hand. I like how small it is, the large battery, the oled screen, and it's powerful enough for the games i want to emulate. At a slightly lower price point this thing would sell out.
ehh, I won't poo poo it, because I understand that there are some folks who just want to do emulation (which i'd probably just use my vita anyway), or i guess cloud gaming (people really do that on the reg?), I would much rather have a handheld that has enough performance to run modern pc applications natively like a steam deck or the other ayaneo stuff or rog ally or the lenovo legion or even the gpd stuff. and those just seem to keep getting better.
or like $320 if you go refurbished straight from valve (if you catch when they’re in stock), way better deal. but also it’s way bigger and harder to throw in a pocket or bag, so to each their own.
I decided to pick up one of these instead of the odin2 as that would be redundant with my ROG Ally, and won’t get much use. I love the design, but the software and support sucks. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase as I love the design, ergonomics and the AMOLED screen. The unit is also more than powerful enough for my usecase.
