Some of you Videos really bring back Memories as i was born in Allentown and left when i was 12 .. my grandfather worked for air products at HQ so this vid kinda has a heart felt touch to it for me .. thanks for the info and vid
Hello kither04, thanks for watching. To distill the long lecture of an answer that I conjured in my mind, it simply comes down to the fact that I enjoy taking videos, traveling, being outdoors, and trains, among many other things. Not to mention, if I had not taken and shared these videos, how would have others who share the same interest be able to have a slice of the experience I had that day?
I like those Blue Reading and Northern EMD SD45's. They are less common than the Green and Yellow ones. I really love that sound of the RS5T horn on that 3056 EMD SD40-2!
The load is about 16 feet wide, it would not clear double tracks or major railyards. The route it takes is short and sweet, one with mostly single track with minimal train traffic disruptions.
I knew I heard an RS5T thunder through the valley while waiting for 458 lol. I saw them interchange with CP. you should have started there. I will let u know the time the next one will leave if i can get a time.
The next one is slated for February 2013, I will be in Vermont. I will have to wait until summer to see the next one, therefore, I may have unfortunately missed the last one covered by CP.
The employees from air products have to ride in the caboose with this shipment because around certain corners it wont fit so they have to do some fancy rigging, my husband did one of these runs as a conductor on this line.
That had to be one heavy load, judging by the way the wheels were squealing on the tracks when the train started moving again. Impressive little locomotive to haul that with relative ease
I dont think CP will sell This line. Its a possibility but i dont believe they will do away with selling it. I shure hope they dont lol. It will become alot harder to see D&H Geeps if they even keep them if they sell. They might just repaint them.
Btw i dont get this? Why follow a train for 4+ hours for video? I shoot video by my house but never spend my gas or time to follow them, i am just wondering?.
it would be weird for me to follow a train (even if I didn't work for the railroad) around to more than one location.... i guess If you do it on the norm, its not so weird lol

Excellent job, WoW so much fun to watch, thank you!!!
Nice chase, Leslie, and catch with that snoot SD40-2!!!!
I know it's off topic, but that video was uploaded on my birthday!
That heat exchanger, is, well, fucking enormous!
Nice video man!! Love that RS5T!!
The horn and the turbo charge sound, sound like some of the loco's here in Australia. Epic video
A unique catch for sure. Nice production.

Great video! I am planning on purchasing an RS5T by next year, this one sounds GREAT!!!
Beautifull video.Tkank you very much .5*******
"Mother of God!" was my response to that MAGNIFICENT horn!!!!!
They're on the Reading and Northern track, which has less restrictions. The parallel welded rail track is Norfolk Southern's track.
kither that's who we are one time up in Binghamton I tracked a NS SD40-2 for about 3 months and it's still one of my prime catches.
I like how he gave you a couple of dings of the bell @ 2:58.
Thanks Adam, so do I!

Come to wilkes-barre and see the track it rides on before the wait for an interchange. ITS BAD lol.
Great video, thanks for sharing that. Cool load, it looks like their own caboose or maybe it was another banner.....Great horn...
One of these years I would really enjoy filming Chuck Norris' new bong making its debut in my town by freight train!
LOL the line reminds me of the WSOR line here in Wisconsin...Kinda makes a person feel leary standing close to the rails.
WHOLY SWEAR WORDS, WHAT IS THAT THING!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?! It's SO HUGE!!!!!!!!!! Great catch that was!
Chuck Norris' new bong

beautiful rs5t!!!
Badass horn right there!

LOVE THAT RS5T

Thats a pretty sweet catch but why would they run the train on the jointed rail when they have what looks to be welded rail right next to it ??
2:14 love that gen 3 k5la
Their website says this one is for Indonesia.
I hear you. Sometimes when the cars start to rock and im closish i get a little dizzy.
And a Snoot nose is super duper.
Indonesia. I think a good freind from school lives there. cool.
How come the train stop at the end of the video then, start up again
They had to get clearance to move onto NS and also note the maintainer propping up the low wires.
Great video.

What could happen if 2 engines pulled an Air Products train? Nothing bad can happen.
Will you catch it in the Morrisville Line?
OH WOW
What is the SD40-2 pulling?
I understand now.. Makes sense,
Nice video!
I put the video up of the interchange with LS and CP in Hudson.
Yes, they can get almost 50 feet longer than this one!
i bet it had track priority the entire time due to the size

THAT HORN!!!!!

GOOD VIDEO!!!
Nice NICE!
Seems like 3056 is always used for this job.

I saw this one at Manville With I think was a GE Dash 9-44CW
wow what was that!!!!!!!!!!
Its going to india or the middle east.
Wow what is that?
Chuck Norris' new bong
What the hell is that thing?
Too bad air products closed that plant just recently. They were doing a lot of work there. I guess business is business.
