    I have removed an idler pulley but should have done the whole belt kit because the noise is still there. I found it that the best way to do any work in there is to remove the oil thermostat lines. yeah it sucks that a little bit of oil will come out so gotta be careful or it will drip everywhere but not having the lines there makes everything so much easier, the deflection pulley can actually come out on the right side.

    Great guide. I have a chirping sound when cold and warm but it disappears when I rise the revs to 1000rpm. I’d be happy if it was the tensioner. I’ve 59k miles on 2018 F82 Comp

      I got mine changed, getting access is the hard part but I followed your guide and managed to get old one out and new one in very quickly. strangely the chirping was still there when. I started it up so `thought it must need a new belt(that's my next step) but I drove it properly today and it seems much less. thanks again for the guide

    I see that you removed the red badging from the rims... I actually like it for contrast. Blue to match the calipers and engine caps would probably be nicer tho.

      I never installed the decal on the spoke. Came with the red one and never put it on. I think it’s too much for what I am after. I thought about doing the pressed graphite one, but still not sure.

    Loving the vids.
    In retrospect, do you think that changing the tensioner whilst you had the oil thermostat off would have made it easier? Was thinking it might be worth doing both at same time as the mosselman upgrade; could syringe the oil out the two vertical lines maybe 🤔

      @Scoobyfreak86  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely would have been easier with the tstat removed. If this issue was prominent before I did the middleman, I would have done both at the same time.
      The syringe is a good idea. Although, once you get the lines out of the thermostat, it starts out. It’s just the residual from the thermostat that leaks out.
