Came back after watching this video to let you know I got a light gray piece of fabric 60" wide and 10' long at Joann's Fabrics for $10 and it works great.
Who cares this dude doesn’t test shit just sits there and talks on a microphone after reading some Amazon reviews and product descriptions. What a loser
Great to know. Just purchased an all in 1 GPX projector and includes a 120" white screen. This will be a surprise Christmas present for my son to use with this PS5 gaming system. So, going through reviews and research. Trying to avoid too much additional cost but open to possible options so the gaming experience will be as decent graphics as can achieve. I know the clarity will never be like a flat screen TV. I may try the gray sheet method. The material you purchased is thick material? Can you provide details. Thanks
@@supercraig2009 it's just plain cotton fabric, I washed mine then put it in the dryer to take the wrinkles out. The screens they sell are folded and have fold lines that have to be ironed out without melting it. They say not to wash them.
So much color bleeds out with a cotton sheet. Not saying you have to break the bank for it, but I promise you even a non-transparent screen will give you so much more color and punch.
This makes me feel good that I just bought the 115" Silver Ticket fixed frame a few days ago. CAN'T WAIT for it to get here now!! Comes in on Wednesday!!
I wish I'd watched your video sooner. I wouldn't want to have a random projector screen lying around. Buying a screen at random could lead to less than ideal results. I'd prefer to have a specific projector screen, though the specific projector screen that would best fit my living room has yet to be determine. I've already ordered a screen with a stand similar to the stand screen you recommended. I figured the stand would give me the flexibility to move things around easily as I determine the best projector/screen setup for my room. I will probably eventually upgrade to a grey framed or roll up screen after trying things out. Thank you for all the information.
I have a short throw projector that I will mount on the ceiling (above the screen). Room conditions will be dark (no ambient light) most of the time. Screen cannot be a fixed screen. What should I be looking for?
Hi I just Purchase a JVC DLA NX5 for my basement and l will probably purchase a Silver ticket screen. I was wondering what color of screen to purchase? My basement is really dark Thanks for your response un avance & your video is the best i've watch 👍
There is no definitive answer to this question because there are a variety of different types of screens that can be used for daylight projection and each has its own advantages and disadvantages. Some of the most popular types of screens for daylight projection include fixed frame screens, manual pull-down screens, electric screens, and inflatable screens. fixed frame screens are typically the most expensive option, but they offer the best image quality and are the most durable. Manual pull-down screens are less expensive and are easier to set up and take down, but they can be more difficult to use in windy conditions. Electric screens are the most expensive option, but they offer the easiest setup and take down and provide the best image quality.
Hi thanks for this video. I have just purchased a fengmi s5 formovie with the achievement to use it in my bedroom at mostly night time. Which screen you would suggest to buy? Many thanks
So nice. My wall is slightly slanted - meaning does not look 100 percent straight and I have x3000i benq - normal throw. Which projector screen will work better for me. Also will fix frame screen allow me to settle some difference in wall angle.
Thanks for the video. I have an old lg pf85u led projector. I want to go 120 inches, I'm at 86. I have a place totally dark. No light whatsoever. What woul you recommend? Thanks!
Can vouch for #5 and I don't even have a fancy bright projector I just have a Nebula Capsule II that only puts out about 100 ANSI Lumens. I'm currently shopping around for a motorized screen to hang up over my PC because I like to use my projector as an extra large 3rd monitor.
Hi, I've just bought my first projector,it's a Eazze D1 PRO. Could you give me recommendations on which screen would work best for this. It will be used in room that has one window with shutters and very little ambient light. The projector will be at a length of between 10 & 12 ft.
I'm trying to find a rear projection screen that I can use for events, mainly corporate, so it will be getting set up and taken down on a regular basis. I also need it to have no "Stretching", so I can't consider any of the outdoor projectors, and I am looking for projection screens with a Trim. I'm ideally looking for a 120" screen, but with the trim and everything else, I will only be projecting around 100" (maybe a little more). Obviously since I'm doing rear projection with an ultra short throw I can't use a "Grey Screen" or a "Fixed frame screen" as I can't project through them. *Edit So I found what I was looking for, only issue is they are quite expensive. I found the YARD MASTER 2 by Elite Screens, they have a selection of sizes, and the screens are very good with no stretching, and little need of trim.
Ohhh that is quite an interesting idea you got there. If you want to paint a screen, I'm pretty sure the all the qualities of that screen go away. So maybe its better if you go for a cheaper screen instead. But yes, I am pretty sure the paint will crack when the screen rolls.

Since it has a dedicated space for it, A fixed frame sounds like the way to go for you.

For max sharpness, clarity, and contrast, one wants a black or gray screen for a room with relatively low ambient illumination. If a projector's image area exceeds the physical dimensions of a specific screen, then one will see fringing (e.g. "chromatic aberration," although fringing can also occur in a monochromatic fashion).
