Nice boat dude. That is seriously nice and well thought out.Love that electric trolling motor mod that is a simple swap and uses the kayak's own rudder.
Nice setup bro. I have my new 2021 Oldtown 120 pdl, with my bixpy setup on my rudder, that is toe controlled. And please teather everything!! We spend enough $$ on these boats, not to mention accessories, FF, electronics and on and on. Be safe bro. Can't beat a pedal drive, with a trolling motor, and tge paddle always gets you home. 😎 🎣
I just bought the same kayak sick mods you got on there was just wondering is the trolling motor possible to take out on shallow waters or is it more for deeper waters?
Sort of a late comment to this video, but I was wondering how that cassette is holding up that is holding the WaterSnake motor. I just ordered one and it seems that the pegs that come out of the sides are sort of flimsy and weak. You had any issues with them?
my hd 11 drive is extremely hard to peddle.. do you have any tricks or tips to help that, or can it be that a bolt or something is too tight? or can be tuned ? either way cool set up man!! and thanks for the videos
Really nice setup you got there Buddy. Question? How did you DIY with the seats raised up.! I managed to get mine up about 4 inches up at least so I can have a better view. Pelican once had a better structured with old models 120 hd with seat level but, why did they changed to a backdrop and it makes no sense at all. I want to fish not sleeping while fishing 🎣😆
Question - will the water snake t-18 motor that has the handle built into the motorhead fit into the cassette hole?? Or will I have to buy the one shown in the video
@@GreaseMonkeyBassFishing Thanks for getting back to me. I will just have the Garmin Echomap 73sv UHD without Livescope. I was thinking of getting the AMPED 12V 12 AH Lithium Battery (LIFEPO4). It fits within the CellBlok dimensions. I will probably use the Echomap less than 6 hours. Should that work?
what is the weird attachment that comes stock on the catch 110 hd11 that is above the ruder rope on the right side .. you can see it like 4 or 5 seconds into your video
@GreaseMonkeyBassFishing not that.. it's in the same spot as that but on the other side.. it's metal and has groves on the inside.. and it's about an inch by an inch and is almost square
Are you in the states I was looking for a pedal kayak last 3 months and couldn’t find anything good under 2 grand but I’m from Canada. It’s crazy how much they went up in the last 2 years

nice job. just was thinking about the motor idea so will be checking yours out. plan to mod my catch 110 also and your video helped. thanks
Great layout & add-ons. Very simple kayak but with great utilization.

The yak looks great, won't be too long till spring.
Can't wait!

I've used my old TM in less then 5 ft. Just be careful for stumps etc.
Curious what battery your running for the watersnake?
Bonjour, I would like more details on the seat rise
Here's a video I did. th-cam.com/video/Js7-EBvrNHk/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared

No issues when I had it. Pretty tough actually.
@@GreaseMonkeyBassFishing You aren't using it anymore, I guess?
@@AnonYmous-kf4oh not after I bought my hobie 180 drive foe the pelican.

This one has the handle also, I just removed it cause I steered with the rudder.
I would like to buy a cassette and watersnake motor for my pelican catch 130 hd do you have more info about the cassette and where can i buy it
Cassette is for a Hobie Eclipse. I purchased mine from Mariner Sails.
What 12v Lithium Battery do you use in your YakAttack CellBlok to run your Garmin Echomap 73vs and how long does it run?
I actually run a 19ah 14.8v from Ampedoutdoors and i run that 12-15 hrs with the Livescope.

@@islandfreedivedtm that would be fine.
How is the stability? Could you also go fishing at the shore? Like a calm one?
I fish on rivers, big and small lakes. The shore should be fine.
What do you use for attachments to your gear tracks? Just got a 110 and don't want to have to buy a bunch of track adapters
All my attachments are listed in description or in the video bud 👍
Can you make a kayak seat lift video
What is the motor model? I have the same kayak and I want to buy it, can you give more information about it.
Water snake t24 👍

It's manufacturer paddle holder
@GreaseMonkeyBassFishing not that.. it's in the same spot as that but on the other side.. it's metal and has groves on the inside.. and it's about an inch by an inch and is almost square
Ahh that. It's like a cleat to hold your rudder rope so when the rudder is deployed it stays down if you hit rocks etc.
@GreaseMonkeyBassFishing thank you my friend.. your boat is awsome..
does the 180 MD fit in the 110 pelican?
Yep, I have another video on my Channel on that
What battery you running on your watersnake?
60ah and 30ah
How's the timing motor working out? I'm thinking of doing the same thing to my catch 130 🤔
It's been great!

You are a big help I have the pelican hydryve 130
@@alexandernavia5774 it's why I do what i do 😉
Does trolling motor have spots lock
No it does not. That'd be too expensive 🤣
Nice
Watersnake is fine but too weak for inshore fishing conditions with currents and winds
I haven't used it since getting the hobie 180 drive on my Pelican but yes its not a powerful motor but has been great to me when I use it.
Nice setup, I'm not really wanting to spend more than $1500 on a pedal kayak.

Kayak prices have been up the roof during the pandemic. More folks getting Outdoors now. Keep searching!
@@GreaseMonkeyBassFishing yea just bought the pelican 110 hydive 2 for 2 grand CAD
There's the hydryve 110 for $1500 at academy.
@@fish4fun354 yea that’s usd tho after converted it goes around $2000 plus I’d have to ship from the states to Canada
