Heli pilots sit on the right side because they need to use both hands to control the helicopter (collective + cyclic controls). Therefore it's easier and more natural to have the collective in the middle between the seats (left hand) and have the cyclic in the dominant hand (right hand). At least that's how I remember it explained to me :) Great videos!
can't believe after watching one of your videos I stayed up all night watching the other videos you made.i'm hook now and a fan you two are great together keep the videos coming.
This particular video makes me absolutely HIGH AS A KITE!! I've never been in a helicopter but have always loved them insanely. There are plenty of helicopter videos on TH-cam but your video is so casual and playful! So is the one before Chris' final exam where he tests you (I assume Becki's reading this first). These are so fun and informative. I also feel like it would be fun to watch Chris teach physics and science...stuff, because he's so passionate about it and that makes it fun to learn. But I'd learn it and then be like the guy below who says, "Now I know so much about helicopter...and now I forgot." Not exactly, but anyhoo...just wanted to send a compliment to you both.
Peter brought me here. To be honest, i subscribed bcuz im interested at you guys' life and the quality of your videos is amazing! You guys should be BIG very soon. Good luck. Ive been watched many episodes of you guys and not get bored at all!! Look forward to see more! Good luck!
subbed. Love the genuine love and motivation from you both as a couple. cant wait to show my girlfriend this channel you guys are adorable shes gonna love it
Chris I noticed the rotor RPM ~5% ish high, still in the ok range for windmilling but is the governor a bit high? (Becki no worries, its safe) I've got some time on the 22 but not sure about the actual limits for the 44. Cheers, hope you get it back soon :)
That was FUN, you guys! I was never a guy who got motion sickness but the last time in Vegas we did a helicopter Grand Canyon tour (where I filmed) and the next day we went and rode in super cars on a track and after that my stomach has not quite been the same...
Katherine Crosbie I believe the "passenger" app by foreflight, it gives those information. If not you can use "flightradar24" app and search the aircrafts N number if they have the equipment required to monitor the flight.
Becki, for motion sickness check out a product called "Reliefband". I get motion sickness in a variety of situations (boats, cars, buses, bumpy plane rides, etc) and the Reliefband is the only thing that has ever been able to not only stop the progression, but actually reverse it. Basically you just put it on, turn it on, and turn the level up until you feel the pulses. In my experience, and those I've lent it to, the more you need it (closer you are to being sick), the higher the level of stimulus required to feel the pulses, and as you get better, the level can be turned down. Can also just start with it on at a low level, and turn it up as necessary.
That worked for our daughter... also some people can use an elastic-type band on your wrist with a knot on the inside of the wrist. Whether a mechanical knot or electrical pulses, stimulation of your nervous system inside the wrist reduces motion sickness. It does work! Also, everyone seems to get motion sickness fairly quickly while looking through a camera in an airplane, myself included even after over 4000 hours. So can looking down at the ground in turbulence. Similar to reading a book while riding in a car. Knowing that looking out at the horizon helps your inner ear stabilize might provide a useful strategy when that feeling hits. Also remember that Chuck Yeager struggled with air sickness when he first started flying, but powered through it to become one of history's greatest pilots. So hang in there, Becki, you're in good company!
Instant sub! got here from Peter McKinnon's Nov 8th vlog. Dope channel will try to play catch up soon. Nice Heli and info. I have a fear of heights, but still like Heli's and never flown in one though. Looks awesome!
i stumbled upon this page looking up "120fps noise reduction on sony" SO! 3 videos in , and man o man do i really like what u guys have going on here ! look forward to seein more content
I'm pretty proud of the fact that I already knew what the Jesus Bolt was :) the aviation communities on reddit have taught me well! Super informative Q&A! Always love time spent with the helicopter!
Hi, so I have a question about cameras, I'm starting a software devs vlog on TH-cam in April and I have a little bit of a money constraint, I wanted to know if you'll suggest the Canon EOS M3 for such, Or if you have any suggestions for something within the price range of $300 - $350?... I'm actually going for a used one on Amazon but don't know if you have a better suggestion?
This was awesome! Becki's reaction to the "Jesus bolt". 😂😂 I think she secretly renamed the heli to "Flying Death Bubble". I've only been in a helicopter one time, a LONG time ago. I remember it being so much fun. But the static is all too real. I was involved in a construction operation where we used a helicopter to lift very heavy pieces of equipment to the roof and the crew was very implicit about making sure the hooks touched the ground first before grabbing them or we WOULD be knocked off our feet from the static discharge.
Oh damn my question got picked! and also got my whole name dropped hahaha! Thats awesome thank you for answering my question. I completely did not know that heli's had wheels that is crazy. Great video guys keep them up!
Love how you guys are so natural in your videos, also the fact that you're not afraid to curse (because cmon.... everybody does) and have a great time making your videos. I'm a fan. Love your Home DIY episodes as well. That Newfoundland house is just spectacular. Keep it up guys!
and you guys made it to newfoundland 1 year later. cant wait to watch the series.
omg you guys still read old video comments, im definitely going to be a fan forever! love you guys!!!
You crack me up Becki. I love your matter of factness and don't sugar coat anything. Loved the video
I did my intro heli lesson 2 weeks ago because of you guys. Love this!!!
Excellent quality video. Enjoy the vlogs! Thanks for the high attention to detail. Your channel will grow because the content is great!

Erik De Lamarter there are two collectives in helicopters. Some helicopters have a primary left side poison. Enstrom, for example.
You guys are awesome!
Becki you got the answers right!
cheezus.. when did I start binging these? ?
I'm asking myself the same question
i think we all are. Idk what im gonna do when i watch them all
can't believe after watching one of your videos I stayed up all night watching the other videos you made.i'm hook now and a fan you two are great together keep the videos coming.
Plus, the helmet looks dope!
I can't wait to see the Millennial Falcon in all its Matte Black glory! Wooo!
AronBagel me too!!!!! Little heli makeover 😂
First time ever watching a Q&A video. Loving this channel!

2:09 It has to do with battery and fuel. Weight and balance.
Haven't seen such QnA before.. It was fantastic. Thanks peter.

I was hoping you would mention the helmets. Good answers!
yup, I have a question..... do you have to put your phone on airplane mode when you fly the hile??

god your edits are really good. so inspired.

Justin Reves thanks dude!!! Yeah filming + any motion = 🤢🤢. That Grand Canyon tour must have been unreal to see in person from the sky!
Hey, how do you record your audio in the helicopter? Do you plug a recorder to the helicopter com system?
I like the Heli videos. Makes me want to add the rotary license, more.
Colin Musschoot thanks!! Yessss!
can you use Foreflight to allow friends/family to track your flights like we can with boats using AIS?

Really cool video you both did a good job
Keep it going guys! Love the content!

FPC-Virtual thank you! Becki also has a fear of heights, believe it or not 👀😅

Loved this episode. Life goal, get a helicopter licence and helicopter.
i stumbled upon this page looking up "120fps noise reduction on sony" SO! 3 videos in , and man o man do i really like what u guys have going on here ! look forward to seein more content
Danny Lopez thanks so much for checking out some of our videos! 😊
And to go with the Helmets wearing a 100% Aramid fire resistant flight suit is a good idea also.
I have a question: What causes that "thudding" noise on the rotors, and how do you make it happen more because it sounds fucking awesome!
Your videos just look so beautiful 😊 Thanks for all the great content!
Venidici thank you so much!
Great Information!
Taking tuxedo time to new levels 🤣 this was great, you should always do tuxedo time in the helicopter! Killer video guys!
Corbin Kitchner thanks so much!! Maybe it will be our new tuxedo time location 😂 sound was good inside there!
Where did you buy the helmets?
What kind of helmets are those? Brand / model ? Thanks :)
Looking forward to the heli-shitting in the woods videos
Simon Blunden 😂😂 I foresee lots of pixelization and swearing LOL
I'm pretty proud of the fact that I already knew what the Jesus Bolt was :) the aviation communities on reddit have taught me well!
Super informative Q&A! Always love time spent with the helicopter!
CriscoLloyd thanks my friend! I had no idea about the Jesus bolt and it definitely freaked me out a bit haha

That was really interesting ! I think you guys look cool with the helmet on !
Judith Scott thanks so much! They definitely make me feel safer.
How do y’all get it out of the hanger

VictorVlogsPDX haha definitely calling it flying death bubble for now on. Oh dang that’s crazy!!
How mane time TBO for main rotor blades...??
Which lens did you use for this!?
Man it is expensive the process to have a HeliPilot license in Canada? :) Great videos, I'm new on you guys channel.
Static electricity and fuel do not equate “kaboom”! Fuel is a candle. It merely just burns. “Vapor fuel” goes “kaboom”! Just an FYI
A collab with Bradley Freisen would be epic!
Chris saying MI is every Med Person ever hahahahahaha.
Fighter pilot Becki with the helmet is back.... :p :D
Oh damn my question got picked! and also got my whole name dropped hahaha! Thats awesome thank you for answering my question. I completely did not know that heli's had wheels that is crazy. Great video guys keep them up!
FrameHungry it was a great question! Thanks!!
Cheers from Ireland ya headers.......
I KNOW SO MUCH ABOUT HELICOPTERS NOWWWW!!!... ... ... And now I forget.
Dunna Did It 🤣🤣🤣 ME!!!
Why do you track speed in nautical miles in the air?
Because it works better for navigation. Nautical Miles (nm) are 1/60th of a degree of latitude, so 60 nm is one degree if headed due north or south.
9:30 Beckiiiiiiiiiiiii close the doorrrrrrrrr please :)
Patrik Marcan hahaha I saw it too. It’s just a gap because the heli is 10 years old
@@mountainslopes Uhhh, didn't know that, thank you! I always thought that they didn't fully close the door
"2007 bump"
Probably the second Badass couples after jay z and Q Bee!
Is it physically possible to do a barrel roll in your helicopter? I'm not asking you to try it, just curious.
ive never flown in a plane let alone a helicopter
stop being so cool. that is all.
Lizzie Peirce I like your face! When we flyin? 😊😊
Here thanks to Peter McKinnon
It wasn't really clear in the video, but was Becki supposed to answer the questions? :D
Oh, and great video by the way!
First....🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 hey guys.. Thanks for answering my question. What's the speed difference from driving ya.....
Garcia Barnes thanks for asking!!! 😊
@@BeckiandChris your welcome.. I just admire you 2.. yall are the perfect couple. Be bless and stay save..
Get some meat and potatoes into that boy... just saying. LOL
Statistics doesn't know what happened before or after
thats one teeter hinge
hahahahaha you farted? hahaha

LVC thank you so much!! Hopefully we will have more house content in the near future!
