I cannot wait to see the pickup series of the Millennium Falcon!! I replay the series from time to time with my most replayed, episode 2. Such incredible cinematography with the sunset and nightscapes.
WOW! Finally an update! What a great video. I’m an old retired fart that grew up in the Air Force (dad flew for 20 of his 29 year career. Life’s greatest regret is not getting my ticket. Keep the video coming and best of luck to you guys, safe travels.
Having survived a helicopter crash in the Gulf of Mexico while photographing oil platforms, I applaud you for completing all the safety classes you can. The last thing passenger wants to hear while flying is, "Mayday, mayday, we're going down!" Of course, that's after hearing the pilot say, "Oh, shitz!!"
@@BeckiandChris A little. I was strapped and taped into the open door of the Jet Ranger. All I could do was keep the cameras above my head to stay dry.
I could watch you two talk helicopters all day. Your videos are the best out there by far. And I'm not lying when I tell you you're partly the reason I've started my own helicopter PPL journey. Incredible seeing the rebuild progress so far and can't wait to see the finished bird!
So cool to watch you and Becki grow through all of these things. Looking forward to more adventures in the Millennial Falcon. You need to put a pad out on your new camping property! Keep the great videos coming!
A friend of mine walked the Robinson floor a while back and got to see the Millennial Falcon sitting there. Can't wait until you get it back! Also, great idea to have you audit the course. Shannon also learns a lot about it via me talking through things and is a great co-pilot, but I bet that course would do wonders. It's a great piece of mind as a pilot knowing your passenger has a basic understanding of the helicopter. Have you ever followed along on the controls with Chris before? I think you usually don't have the second cyclic in...
Oh no way? Too funny! Yeah it was really helpful in so many ways! I did my first intro flight in this trip and have followed him on the controls a few times but still working on controlling that fear response
@@BeckiandChris Yeah, Shannon's not quite ready to follow along yet either, she has the same fear. But she's working up to it. I've had others follow along with me while I fly and I certainly have never felt like I wasn't still in full control, if that helps. Speaking of, we're heading up to the airport now, gonna practice some autos today! 🙂
This video makes me so anxious/expectant about the number of adventures you'll have once you get the Millennium Falcon back! Also.... that excitement at the end of the video because of what you knew you were about to do or you had just finished doing hmmmm..... 😋
First of all thank you for responding to my 1st question I ask you guys 😊 Is such great couple, very smart 😂 (are you saving for a MD 500 ) I sure the hell hope so 😂. Just love your photo knowledge vids are so awesome ❤️👍👍👍💪🐐🐐🐐. Also so happy to hear bodies are SQUISHY 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤️😎
Very interesting to see Robinson's facility and get a sense of what goes on in that course! So, you had 5 years on The 'Falcon knowing the overhaul would be necessary. Once the o'haul is complete how long (ballpark) can you expect to fly your "new" bird before the next overhaul is due? Thanks for the vid, keep 'em coming.
@@BeckiandChris Wow, that really resets the clock! I foresee many great adventures, hopefully many of them are documented for us out here in vacuumland!
I just checked my notifications to see if you guys have posted yet, but not yet. After watching one video, boom i finally get the notification. Lets go 😁
@@BeckiandChris I've toyed with going mirrorless, though I just love my old Nikon D3200 too much. I've been published in a few major books & newspapers with that, and made a short doco with it. Will probably stick with Nikon if I do, though I gotta admit the Sony A7CII's look interesting, even though they're eyewateringly expensive in my view.
Your helicopter videos are always so entertaining! Quick gear question, at 2:25 there’s sort of a rainbow effect on the top left corner, is that due to a polarizer or ND filter? Reason I’m asking is because I recently took a trip and had a polarizer filter on my X100V. Some of the picture that were through glass have the same effect and I didn’t notice until I reviewed the photos on my bigger display.
@@BeckiandChris Seems like it, in my case I was taking pictures through the glass of various observation decks in NYC. Definitely something to take into consideration next time.
I've often wondered if Becky would be able to handle her phobia of flying better if she went to flight school. I also have a severe fear of flying and I know a large part of it is just the lack of knowledge and the loss of control that comes with that.
Hey, Becki could you please tell me where did you got that T-shirt: art leads the way? :) not trying to be a copy cat, but I gotta have it. Great video as always BTW!
Julie's been 'learning' to fly - not to get her PPL or to fly herself, but just to know what to do in an emergency.
That’s a smart choice! I’m trying to do the same, getting past the fear response has been challenging

I think it has to do with the window tints on the car + VND filter, gives a weird effect but you can’t really see it well while filming
