caitlyn didnt post guards around the place jinx was held she knew Vi would free her. So she let jinx go free and went to Vi instead she chose love over revenge.
To add when else where they supposed to do it? After one or both of the die in battle? Neither knows if either of them will be alive tomorrow. They haven't been together in months. Not sure if people understand the time between Ep 3 and ep 8 is around 6 months
As Victor was "dying" at the end of episode 6, the voice over that was playing was him realizing the problems he wanted to solve were problems that were inherent with humanity itself. Leading to this version of him deciding that humanity itself is the problem.
The most meaningful thing in this episode to me was Jinx apologizing to Cait and give her blessings to Vi because you would’ve told me that two weeks ago and I would’ve neverrrr believed it Also HAHA your reaction to Cait and Vi’s scene was so real it was all of us at that moment 100% 😭
Viktor basically succumbed to the same conclusions as just about every omniscient AI in FictionLand.... Basically, Viktor wants to save humanity but has now come to the conclusion that people's emotions, personal affections, and self-destructive / counterproductive instincts are what lead to their downfall and so, Viktor has decided that he has to save humanity from itself by getting rid of those things.
Seems you forgot Viktors dialoge while the rest were fighting Vander, he talks about how the doctor was right and how humanity is flawed due to our emotions making us do bad deeds. He also isnt helping the doctor or ambessa, they are helping him.
idk if u have watched the last episode already or not, but to clarify on viktor's goal: at the end of episode 6, he said something along the lines of humanity (emotions, feelings) itself being the reason for mankind's own failures. So this new viktor basically thinks that in order to have true peace, the humane aspect of humanity must cease to exist. It's difficult to explain, but if u've seen Neon Genesis: Evangelion (an old anime), there is this thing called "Human Instrumentality Project", which has the goal of essentially turning all human minds into one single entity, so that everyone would truly be peaceful
Dang.... First, the sewers. Now, that jail cell? Cait and Vi really do pick the filthiest places to do their thang. Who knew they be nasty like that?? 😁😁
I reeeeeeeeeeeeeally wish they'd done like 3 more episodes just to pace everything out better. I wanted a little more time with Viktor's thoughts and conclusions, a little more time with Ekko's study of time travel and his return, more time with explaining the black rose plot, etc, etc.
@@YayReacts How? Jinx broke her cycle of violence on her own accord, choosing to leave. Her final words to Vi were to be happy with Cait, and Vi had no idea where Jinx was headed, just that she is leaving Vi. In the next episode, the person who "finds" Jinx doesn’t "find" her in the conventional sense - it's more about the timing (I can't say more about that). Jinx didn’t want Vi to follow her either. When Cait eventually arrives at the cell, Jinx is likely miles away according to Vi. By that point, Vi was already blaming herself, thinking Cait would be upset because she freed Jinx behind her back - that's why she says she chooses wrong every time and that's why she has no one left. But here we learn Cait deliberately removed the guards to give Vi the choice to free Jinx, as Cait had moved past her revenge and cared more about Vi's happiness. The scene also mirrors Vi and Cait’s first meeting in Season 1. The jail represents both confinement and freedom for Vi. Cait's growth arc began with Vi in a cell both literally and metaphorically crossing the line. I don’t think the scene was out of place. Vi didn’t need to search for Jinx; she simply took Jinx’s advice and, for once, chose her own happiness.
@@YayReacts This is totally fair like yeah it was sudden, but I feel like we need to consider a few things. Vi has centered her whole life around her sister, putting other ppl over her own happiness and feeling guilty and responsible for everything. She spends the whole show after jinx and believing in her even despite everything (she made mistakes no doubt they both did) but even at her lowest when she had given up on everything she chooses to believe in her sister again. Jinx having and then loosing Isha makes her finally understand how Vi feels; and decides to "break the cycle" by making the decision she knew Vi would never make cause Vi was never gonna give up on her. Hence why she tells her she doesn't need to feel guilty about being happy because she deserves to be happy. I think a lot of ppl see Vi as an extension of jinx so anytime she does something not in service of her they immediately criticize her. Vi simply thought that Jinx used her to escape and left her. She thinks she has lost everyone and blames herself for it once again. After learning that Cait helped her get jinx out meaning that Cait chose Vi over vengeance and the hate she had for jinx, for the first time in her life Vi acts “selfish” and forgets about all the unjust guilt she’s been carrying on her shoulders the entire time and lets herself go in that moment with Caitlyn. Not to mention that the scene is a direct call back/parallel to when and how they first met, and how Caitlyn literally saved her. Idk if you already seen the last ep but its clear that Vi still never stopped thinking and worrying about her sister, idk what ppl wanted her to do considering she doesn’t know where jinx went or where her hide out is and there was also an upcoming attack😭 I understand wanting things to go a certain way cause we’re looking at the bigger picture, but it’s important to understand why the characters act and make the decisions that they do. But ofc you also don’t have to agree with their choices. That’s just my take, sorry this was long lol, I enjoyed your reaction
@ud2278 and @JanJan0019 thank you for taking the time to leave your responses! It helped me get a better understanding of where the story was going with this direction. Vi's my favorite character and I relate with her a lot especially with how much she loves her sister and the lengths she went for her in season 1. Her actions here were just not what I expected from her.
Fun fact : the sex scene between Vi and Cait was originally much longer and detailed but it would have costed them their rating so Riot told Fortiche tu cut it to what we have. The co-creator of Arcane said the scene is somewhere in a french harddrive and described it as "French people being French" 😂 (The serie is animated by Fortiche, a French studio in case you didn't know already)

@harryballsak1123 yeah sex before big battles is a tried and true trope forsure
omg THANK YOU that line had me so confused 😆

I really gravitated towards the scene with Silco and during Jayce’s speech!

Can we make Mel any more gorgeous?
"Survey Saysss!......" [✅]

i love your reaction yr voice is sweet and you trying to understand how the show moves is nice to see
You are too kind thank you so much 😭❤️
The penultimate episode. I can't believe they are still setting things up, Episode 9 will be jammed pack.
Just like how quick powder was to jump into Silco's arms after her sister's rejection, Vi was quick to jump into Caitlyn's, um.....
I love my girl Vi but her timing with Caitlyn just wasn’t it for me, like go find your sister the heck 😭

@@ud2278exactly lmfao. i’m so tired of everyone expecting vi to give up her own happiness for everyone else time and time again.

Jinx was in a bunker, not in jail. Caitlyn let Vi decide what to do with Jinx (free her)
Thank you for the clarification! I guess the lock is meant for supplies then 🤔 and okay Caitlyn decided not to interfere got it 👌🏼
@YayReacts Cait decide that doing something for Vi was more important than her hate for Jinx

Im betting you've watched the finale .. Epic was that a spolier
