    I think that Sky's essence was Viktor's moral compass, and when he decided to go down a different path, Sky's essence went away.

      interesting! I didnt think of it that way

      I commented exactly this on another reaction video. I feel like Sky represented Viktor’s humanity and her disappearing was symbolic of his humanity disappearing. Also, she said that viktor wouldn’t miss their chats and that’s because you need to care to miss something and comfortable with no humanity, is purely a form of logic now

      @@reaper_fbb7052yeah that's how I interpret it. I'm not sure if she was the real Skye trapped in the hexcore, a different entity or a part of Viktors own mind but I definitely think she represented Viktors humanity.

    There was so much about the Cait/Vi scene to love….
    How Cait was going to be honest and tell her she was with someone else….and Vi giving ZERO fucks because she has her cupcake back.
    Then Cait is the one who rips her shirt off in front of Vi very aggressively, but then is soft and gentle undoing Vi’s wrapping…and is then CONTINUALLY gentle with her. Gently caressing her, touching her, giggling with her in pure joy because she is FINALLY with who she truly WANTS to be with.
    And Vi…alternating between being very aggressive with Cait, and then being very gentle with her. Showing Cait that it has basically been her….ALWAYS. Just such a perfect love story for these two.
    People said that they actually did it in season 1 at some point, but this scene right here is almost irrefutable proof that THIS is their first time. The gentle touches, the way that they look at each others bodies, the happy giggle when fumbling to get undressed....just all so PERFECT!!!! It wasn't about sex...it was about love, trust, letting go, giving in, and intimacy...all the things they NEEDED in that moment with each other, knowing what was about to come.
    So....perfect.

    Viktor's obsession was always to "fix" the weaknesses he perceived in humanity. In the game lore, this meant replacing his failing human parts with robotics, becoming more machine than man. In the show, this was replaced with hextech and the hexcore, but the motivation was the same. Every time he sees some kind of weakness (according to him) in humanity, he wants to eliminate it. First it was his legs, then his whole body, then emotion, passion, and free will. Skye was a manifestation of his own humanity, and in the end, he sacrifices even that. He is slowly eliminating things that (in his opinion) make humans weak and lead us to conflict, without considering that they are also the things that make us human in the first place.

      Do you think it would have come to this if jayce didn't attack him, I only ask cause viktor only comes to the conclusion that emotions are the problem at the end of episode 6 after everything went wrong

    • @bendon82
      @bendon82 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @justhaku9240 yes, because Viktor attacking him wasn't the only act of violence in that scene. The fight with Ambessa was happening regardless.

    • @justhaku9240
      @justhaku9240 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @bendon82 good point actually I hadn't thought about it like that, even if hypothetically jayce was never taken to the wild rune and chilled in piltover ambessa would still mess everything up and he'd likely come to same conclusion

    I think in that cell Vi was afraid Jinx was abandoning her and abandoning the defense of the city, and it was all her fault for being too trusting to see it coming, but by admitting she secretly helped Vi do all this, Caitlyn reassured her that freeing Jinx was actually the right decision and she should keep holding out hope that her sister will make the right choices in the end too
    Also, by freeing Jinx from prison just like she originally freed Vi, Cait reassured Vi that deep down she is still the same person despite all that has happened and changed since then. Cait is still the same person Vi fell in love with
    It's no wonder she was suddenly overcome with emotion lol

    To be completely honest Jayce didn’t need to actually tell them anything. The bottom line was there is a threat and we have to stop them. Otherwise the world is lost. That’s literally what he told them. He didn’t tell them why he didn’t tell them how but the bottom line is sometimes leaving certain things out is good, because it throws away certain things that people worry about also to clarify Viktors change, he wasn’t saying that he was cool with it. He was just basically saying that since his run for peace was stopped, he now has two force peace on everyone so now he’s not trying to allow people to have the choice. He is now decided to force people to understand his desires, which is why sky was against it and basically left him to himselfbecause she knows that was not his original goal

  • @aranthur

    Honestly, I feel like explaining it was due to TIME TRAVEL that he knows all this would only hurt Jayce's case lol. These folks would just think he's crazy
    Also, I will say that the creators of the show have explained they had a philosophy that pretty much any conversation that could be reasonably implied to happen off screen (like Jayce explaining his experience to at least Mel and Cait?) or any words that could be replaced with a look or gesture (like Cait touching the spot she hit Vi and giving her a sad look, then Vi pulling her in for another kiss rather than a spoken apology and acceptance of that apology), they should go with the option without words. It makes for a more concise, show-not-tell experience and also takes less time to animate, when the animation for this show was already SO DAMN EXPENSIVE

      Honestly not even sure it should be hard for anyone who's seen viktors cult to imagine that it would end up being completely void of humanity. Maybe not as destructive as what jayce saw per se. But not human

      They know what they're doing. It's bad writing in any format to show something to one character and then have that character describe it verbatim to another character--but in screenwriting it's even worse because (as you note) time is money. You ALWAYS find a way of eliding (or at least, seriously condensing) the sharing of information already known to your reader/audience. Otherwise you're just repeating things.

    But Cait talking to Jinx....just so, Cathartic. But at the same time, still trying to process everything. She can't forgive her, or herself....like she said "We can't erase our mistakes." And she's not seeking to forgive Jinx, she just wants her to account for herself as she finally lets go of hating her. It's as close to forgiveness that Cait can come as far as Jinx is concerned.

    Silco in every scene he appeared he stole the spotlight.
    Violet and Caitlyn scene in cell was originally longer. 😅
    It was great that they showed us hints of Leblack, Swain, Oriana,...

    18:41 ya know. It’s interesting that you said about Jayce not saying all the info. And it reminds me of Heimerdinger. And it brings back what Heimer said in the AU. Can’t go around talking about parallel universes without being seen as crazy or something similar. It makes me think, like you said Jayce is a little crazy and kinda have be after what he’s seen. And having explain without Heimer, without Ekko to confirm all they have is his word. So he tried to explain without making himself sound like a pure lunatic and that kinda makes how frustrated Jayce and I was at Heimerdinger about not telling them. Don’t say, what not to do and not say the full story. There’s some info there and they need to share it. But I’d imagine it’ll take something huge, like a magical apocalypse for people to finally understand Heimerdinger in that moment. Huh. Y’all just made me appreciate Heimerdinger for the first time. Respect.

    The thing that Viktor was saying at the end of episode 6, in my opinion, wasn't accepting Jayce's actions as correct. It was accepting that Jayce's actions and all the other failings of humanity come from the unpredictability of their emotions getting in the way of their logical decision-making, so now he wants to "evolve" humans to a form that no longer has emotions or free will. That is the only way to truly prevent all violence and hatred and death and create "peace"

    I'm pretty sure its implied by Jayce that the world is ending lol. That's enough to gather an army, and he showed them proof via the robot. Either way, everyone can only trust him by word of mouth. What more can he say? He's the only one who saw the future with his own eyes.
