Watching your sweet Mum made me cry. She's so lovely, God Bless you both your caring nature Jessie comes through the lens your attitude is bliss. A truly beautiful relationship you both share. 🌱
Thank you for explaining the three things we viewers can do to help Jessie. I enjoy your blogs enormously and very happy to do my bit. You are so creative and inventive, so much to learn from you. Loved seeing you both enjoy your melon, looked yummy. Looking forward to my holiday away with you. I am sure it will be time well spent.
Ah Jess, your videos are like a mediation/relaxation/reviving session for me - thank-you! I absolutely LOVE the field trips - especially when we are so restricted it's wonderful to see how the rest of the world lives - even stupid little things like seeing the prices fascinates me. Glad to let the ads play from now on - even if I don't stay glued to the screen for those few seconds 😉And I hope your feet are better soon - I know chronic pain can be all consuming. So looking forward to next week's vlog - travel safely!!
Thanks for the vlog this week. Loved the bits and pieces style. Sometimes our lives are just that lots of bits that don’t quite fit. Enjoyable nonetheless. I have been wanting to do more of a gravel garden as have a strip of gravel in front of my back garden patio, with pots on but it needs a bit more bling for the summer. I loved you reused a lot of self seeded plants, great money saving tip. And the info about the adverts, I have found them annoying but now I know the reason for them Aider will not skip through anymore. We need to keep your lovely vlogs coming in. Have a great week off. And your mum made me laugh looking through the melon holes 😂 what a lady!

Thanks Jessie for mentioning 'verbena bonariensis'! We have a drinking game any time we see it or it gets mentioned. Episodes of Gardeners' World can be a drunken affair. Our other word, 'disestablishmentarianism' tends to result in some very sober evenings. 😁 All the best, Another Allotment in Surrey. 👍🍷
Hello love, I am always so happy to see your newest video. I follow so many folks now that I just play the videos most of the day as I am working around my house and garden. I watch on the TV, my PC laptop, my I pads and my iPhone. So for the folks like you that have a random week like you did now is just perfect. I love to see folks in there own natural element. Hello Heather! Our old girls used to go crazy for a pile of leaves, you're right! I completely didn't think about putting the pile in their house....doh! :D And thank you about the feet, i'm sorry your having problems too. Its so frustrating isn't it!
🙋hi from Scotland hi Jess and lovely wee mum thank you so much for sharing this great vidio I loved going on the wee adventure with you and gong to the garden centre ,what a great idea for the brassica frame I love those pipes I made one a bit like yours only I had to use canes with the plastic corners ,love the front garden looking forward to see where you go for your wee holiday take care Anne Scott from Scotland
I gladly let the ads play for you. I only got an ad right now at the very end. I've gained so much from your channel and not just gardening how to's. You are good for my mental health as well. Such a calming space to come to the past year. I just read your ABOUT page and didnt realize you only started filming at the beginning of this pandemic. Cheers from across the pond.
I enjoyed the part when you worked in your front house garden. Hope to see your sister, s garden again. Love the allotment. I just love your mom, s calm, quiet personality. She is so hardworking. Love your vlogs. Felicity Jacobs, Cape Town, South Africa

You make my week. Well you and Gardeners World but they are not such die hard as you since they won`t broadcast in the winter 😃. Your mother is adorable and i wished i lived right next to you, or even in England (wihout the Brexit). Loads of love , Jessie from Belgium
Enjoyable vid as always and I hope you have a fun break wherever it is . Eli and Kate explained about the adverts on one of their episodes that I had viewed.. Incidentally, they gave you a nice 'thankyou for the seeds ' you sent them on the one that came out last Sunday.
Morning from Tassie Jess and mum, nice sunny morning two in a row but snow yes snow forecast yet again, managed to get a few seedling out but not the more tender ones, been way too rainy. I just love that brassica cage, I assume you can still dismantle as not glued in, I have similar connectors so will see if Bunnings have similar plastic rods, can then make it to a more suitable cover than my hoops due to arch shape. Would also be good for fruits if no room for a cage like yours. Loved the little tour around your area even if much wider afield, my sister used to live the Kingston way I never got to see much as we lived in Devon. The front garden you said mum was an Aussie well the native grasses will give her many fond memories of her life here, very popular these days as low maintenance well that’s what they say, I found to keep looking good they do need a good trim shape each year. I had heaps in my previous house and found cutting back pulling dead bits out each year down on my knees for many hours they looked fab. Just watching the ads while I type up, sorry Jess I do normally skip as hate ads will try and let them roll as much as possible. Thanks for sharing.
Morning! Yeah, the cage just comes apart for easy storage. also handy for making different hights so just swap the legs out! Grasses really do pay you back for a bit of grooming don't they. i find an old hair brush very useful!
You can never have enough bits Jessie, honest. I have amassed a huge collection over the years. Thanks for the ad tip, didn't realise that. Thanks for another enjoyable vlog.
Jessie-I missed the video of what happened to your footies. I heard you different videos make reference to your injury, but inquiring minds want to know…your videos are my Tuesday highlight, just so you know.
Hahah, thanks Pamela! I don't think i ever said what was wrong with my feet. I have psoriatic arthritis and my feet are taking the full brunt of it at the moment!
@@JessieatPlot37 turmeric Jess. Sorry for being nosey, but I cannot stand people being in pain. Besides the turmeric, drink a lot of water. My cuz has that same thing, it is gut wrenching painful. Tumeric. removes inflammation, the water flushes said, out of our body. You may even be able to grow it there. I dry and powder mine, then get vegie capsules and fill them up. Hi jessie and Mum.....really love your vlogs soo much fun ,Cheers!...a word of warning though, dont grow things infront of your underfloor vents (infact they could be a bit bigger) they stop your floors from rotting !! you need good ventilation under your floors ! front garden is going to be lovely though ..cheers chap!!
Oh my if that’s a kohl rabi that’s gnarly you really need to see the monstrosities that are in the garden. Love the tomato juice. It’s very me. I can simply go out to dead head and am covered in muck. Keep safe. Xx

Cheers Jessie. Looking forward to seeing the front garden matured. I never knew that actually watching the adds made a difference to you and I'm guessing most viewers don't but I'm pretty sure that a lot more will now be letting them play through to help your channel. Cheers
Ooo lovely stuff as ever, your films are so action-packed I feel like I should be taking notes.... except I was yelling at the screen "Mind the air brick!" - yes we are having house renovations and I am obsessed! I'm sure you *did* clear that air brick thoroughly afterwards :)
Hiya Jessie and Muma, ps lovely jumper she is wearing at end while tasting the melons. Anywhoo appreciated the adventure another peek into your lifestyle. Oh your poor feet I hope whatever treatment you have chosen helps. I only subscribe to ytube no other social media for me, so I do miss things. Your info was helpful re stats etc. I can tell you there was no advertisements shown while I viewed your video? Present time is 10:30 pm October 26. Ontario Canada 5 hrs behind my family and friends across the pond. I hope that may be helpful? Cheers Jessie just going to have a wee bubbly myself lol. Thankyou in advance for taking us along on your holiday wherever that may be exciting yay! Blessings to you and yours take care and stay safe🐝
Oh ok I didn’t know if I skip the video you don’t get any money so for you I will watch them and I’m sorry I did skip ads in previous videos so I might have to re watch them but only for you. I love the brassica cage I will be copying that idea but on a smaller scale Thank you
Hahaha, thanks Karen! I skip ads sometimes too, its only if its someone i'm actively supporting i'd sit through listening to someone tell me about shoes for 3mins! :D
oooooh, I'd totally be up for adventures like that one any day 👏🏻 ...just binge watching your videos to get me motivated again, after dropping off the gardening and the youtube scene for a bit. I've just lost my motivation, I guess - but you have me wanting to get back to the plot, so thank you for that!!!
And thank you for the previous cage inspiration… I’ve made a really tall version for my brassicas and covered it with scaffolding debris netting … intrigued the neighbours!… but I’ve had my best ever cavolo Nero😋 thanks, Jinxy
Join Jessie we have been watching the vlogs since heidi discovered you on the gadget. Even though I have had an allotment on and off for the last 40 years I have found some of your tips and building projects most useful. I was wondering if there was an episode just on chuckens. Thanks Fred and Heidi
Can’t believe you went to my neck of the woods! Sawbridgeworth is a great town but if you’d have had time to go to the Harlow garden centre you might have spent more money than at Oakridge. 🤣
I did know about the ads, but there was one on someone’s vlog the other day and it was 39 minutes long, I tolerated about 10 minutes because I thought it might contain useful information but it said nothing so I gave up! You and your mum looked like you really enjoyed those melons!
Hahaha... when i watch youtube on my proper TV i can't skip the ads (old telly, even older remote) and some of those long ads are crazy! I haven't ever had a 39 minuter but close. One was pretty much a short film documenting 3 young Iranian women studying for exams to get into university... by the time it was over i had completely forgotten what i was watching to begin with.... :D
It was lovely to visit a garden centre - ours are all closed now for the season! Pansies are one of my top fav flowers 💜 Enjoyed seeing the planning for the front garden, I always flat a bit short on that 😆 Brassica cage a beauty! It’s nice when it all comes together, I’ll use it for inspiration next year I couldn’t actually remember about the ads from last week when I first viewed. I’m not sure why but I never see the Community posts on my iPad, which is where I do most of the viewing but I do see it my phone. Still trying to figure that out so if anyone has tips. Will be exciting to see what your next adventure is and I do hope the light (at the end of the tunnel) feels nearer in regard to your feet.
Thanks Leanne! The community post thing is all a bit weird. I never know where to find the after i've posted them... lol. Sometimes they just appear other times i have to go hunting. :D
Great video and brassica cage. I made one similar last year and 1 suggestion would be put an other leg support some how in the middle of the 2 long sides.mine got bent down to the ground when it snowed Good job though
Ah yeah, if it snows that might be a problem! Although its only once every 4 or 5 years we get anything more than a cm here and i'm so excited when we do i wont be thinking about the cage! :D But yeah, i might see if i can find some straight connectors.
Wow Jessie that bit about Woolwich Ferry brought back memories for me, I used to live 15 mins away in Abbey Wood. Born and brought up in London. I moved away in 2006 to become a country gal! No regrets. Love the spruce up you gave the front garden, its going to look blooming lovely!!
Lovely video as always, it’s maddening really when you looked at the pink celery I though hhhmm wonder if there was any in the “lost in the twilight zone “ post with your seeds. I’m going to resend some tomorrow fingers crossed they get there this time. Thank you for sharing as always ✌️🇨🇦🐝 safe all
Put your leaves in with your chickens. Adds carbon. Take a look at Edible acres for more information. I have just made the most amazing compost using this method..
@@JessieatPlot37 When you are out and about any chance of filming New Malden high street. Granted a strange request but I used to live there and would love to see what it looks like now. I burst out laughing every time you curse the planes going over head. Thanks Richard
I’ve been rooting for you (pun intended 😂) earning enough to focus on growing full time, and thus have been watching all the ads (except the really long ones you mentioned!) I find such enormous value in your work - not only in the practical teachings but also in your vibe and lovely Mum, who is also beautiful! Thank you for your energy! I’m honoured to be taking this upcoming mini break with you, wherever we’re going! 😆 🧳 If you decide to set up a Patreon or similar I’d certainly support you, let us know. ❤️ My garden and I thank you heaps Xx
Nice vlog Jess enjoy the front garden bit lovely and IV never been on a ferry so that was cool and what's up with your feet Ur walking like a penguin 🐧 Sure the plimps your wearing not help you need something with abit more soul lol xx
Loved your front garden! I can't wait to see how it looks when everything fills in. I felt like we were on a field trip! 😁 I did not know about the ad watching on the videos - I will watch them through moving on. Thanks for that!
Omg Jess, you went all around London on the M25! It must have taken you both the whole day! I will watch all your ads now and not skip through them..I want you to get paid❤️ i will run to B&Q and get some pipes to make a cage too, as I’m sick and tired of seeing my brassicas getting eaten
I was going to ask why put them in a cage, but now that you mentioned it… I haven’t had a single broccoli survive the slugs since I started my gardening adventures 👀😅
Hahaha, yeah, we were out for quite a while! lol. the pint was well deserved. Yeah, the pigeons just demolish anything thats left uncovered for even a moment where i am!!
Green alkanet! I saw some posts about using it as a dye for soap making. I dug the roots up, prepared them, dried and ground them. The infused oil... since April is.....olive oil coloured. Oh well, worth a try.
I love watching your vlogs, always so inspirational. Love a good adventure me! That one looked tons of fun! Your front garden looks brilliant too! Great effort. Makes me want to get mine sorted! 😁 Jen
Thanks Jessie for showing your Prairie Garden Makeover, Stage One! Looks like a great plan. Please show us how it pans out. Any room for Sempervivum plants? Maybe a trellis with climbers will hide the metal "wall" next door? Only suggestions. Brilliant brassica cage; I need to do something similar with my currant bushes. Looking forward to your future vlogs, as always.
Hi Jess. As a podiatrist, I'm intrigued by your foot related remarks. Visiting your sister's garden, they didn't look toooooo bad..... Would you care to share??? Btw, my partner and I have learned sooo much from your blogs which we found by complete accident!! Helen xx
Thanks for another fab vlog. Brassica frame is genius! Hadn’t realised about having to watch ads all through as I skip some so for you will watch through. Looking forward to next weeks offering. Have fun!

Even though I have had an allotment on and off for the last 40 years I have found some of your tips and building projects most useful. I was wondering if there was an episode just on chuckens. Thanks Fred and Heidi
Liked your front garden make over
Can’t believe you went to my neck of the woods! Sawbridgeworth is a great town but if you’d have had time to go to the Harlow garden centre you might have spent more money than at Oakridge. 🤣
Oh and cheers 😘
:D
@@JessieatPlot37 😳
It was lovely to visit a garden centre - ours are all closed now for the season! Pansies are one of my top fav flowers 💜
Enjoyed seeing the planning for the front garden, I always flat a bit short on that 😆
Brassica cage a beauty! It’s nice when it all comes together, I’ll use it for inspiration next year
I couldn’t actually remember about the ads from last week when I first viewed.
Looking forward to our holidays next week 😎 cheers🥂
Great video as always, excited to see where we are all off to next week, but having a week off for yourself would be fine too!
ads enabled for support
Thank you! :D
Great video and brassica cage.
I made one similar last year and 1 suggestion would be put an other leg support some how in the middle of the 2 long sides.mine got bent down to the ground when it snowed
Good job though
Ah yeah, if it snows that might be a problem!
Although its only once every 4 or 5 years we get anything more than a cm here and i'm so excited when we do i wont be thinking about the cage! :D But yeah, i might see if i can find some straight connectors.
Love this! And yes, ads.
Thank you! :)
Our melons were late this year. Was looking forward to a taste but they were eaten by local opossum. Have a good trip.
Thanks Jenny! Oooh, country girl. Where did you move out to?
Yorkshire Dales, then the Lake District, now in the Borders of Scotland. I'm getting higher and higher up lol
Pat is a man of taste he’s a Yeti owner. Looked like an interesting garden centre, my idea of a good day out.
Hahahah, i read this out to him when you sent it. I was sat opposite him in the pub. He is extremely fond of his Yeti! :D
I am new to watching youre chanel.I did not know about the ad watching on the videos - I will watch them through from now on Love you're video's.
Thanks James! :D
Must admit love your vlogs Jess keep them coming
Thanks Peter!
Lovely video as always, it’s maddening really when you looked at the pink celery I though hhhmm wonder if there was any in the “lost in the twilight zone “ post with your seeds. I’m going to resend some tomorrow fingers crossed they get there this time. Thank you for sharing as always ✌️🇨🇦🐝 safe all
Thanks Ali! I can't believe they got lost in the post... i think some bloke at the post office has an allotment and pinched them! :D
@@JessieatPlot37 more on the way fingers crossed this time
Ha ha thank goodness. You didn’t show reverse action melon eating
Hahaha! :D
Put your leaves in with your chickens. Adds carbon. Take a look at Edible acres for more information. I have just made the most amazing compost using this method..
Our old girls used to go nuts for a pile of leaves! I had forgotten!
@@JessieatPlot37 When you are out and about any chance of filming New Malden high street. Granted a strange request but I used to live there and would love to see what it looks like now. I burst out laughing every time you curse the planes going over head.
Thanks
Richard
I’ve been rooting for you (pun intended 😂) earning enough to focus on growing full time, and thus have been watching all the ads (except the really long ones you mentioned!) I find such enormous value in your work - not only in the practical teachings but also in your vibe and lovely Mum, who is also beautiful!
Thank you for your energy! I’m honoured to be taking this upcoming mini break with you, wherever we’re going! 😆 🧳
If you decide to set up a Patreon or similar I’d certainly support you, let us know. ❤️
My garden and I thank you heaps Xx
Hahaha, Thanks so much Stephanie! Yeah those mammoth ads can only be watched when TH-cams just been left to run with nobody watching...surely!!
I must have crossed the river hundreds of times by all bridges but never have I ever been on the Woolworth ferry
Nice vlog Jess enjoy the front garden bit lovely and IV never been on a ferry so that was cool and what's up with your feet Ur walking like a penguin 🐧 Sure the plimps your wearing not help you need something with abit more soul lol xx
Hahah, thanks Gary! I am indeed walking like a penguin! These plimps hide a plush secret of memory foam and innersoles. :D
@@JessieatPlot37 I still think you need like jogging trainer's much more comfortable x
Hope you feel better very soon but I'll miss your wiggle haha xx
Jessie there were adverts today ……thank you as always -we look forward to every video xx
Thanks Jane!
Loved your front garden! I can't wait to see how it looks when everything fills in. I felt like we were on a field trip! 😁
I did not know about the ad watching on the videos - I will watch them through moving on. Thanks for that!
Thanks Robin! Hopefully by next summer it will look lovely!
So glad you're taking us with! Thank you for the suggestions on ways to help the smaller you tubers.
Green alkanet! I saw some posts about using it as a dye for soap making. I dug the roots up, prepared them, dried and ground them. The infused oil... since April is.....olive oil coloured. Oh well, worth a try.
Hahahahah, thats really made me laugh Jay!
That was a nice trip and those pansies are gorgeous! I hope that monstrosity of metal piece in the neighbor's yard is temporary!
I fear its permanent! I might be on the look out for a large piece of trellis!
I loved this post. The fieldtrip was great. The red and orange pansy was gorgeous.
Thanks Deborah! I have a real thing for Pansys. :D
I love watching your vlogs, always so inspirational. Love a good adventure me! That one looked tons of fun!
Your front garden looks brilliant too! Great effort. Makes me want to get mine sorted! 😁
Jen
Thanks Jessie for showing your Prairie Garden Makeover, Stage One! Looks like a great plan. Please show us how it pans out. Any room for Sempervivum plants? Maybe a trellis with climbers will hide the metal "wall" next door? Only suggestions. Brilliant brassica cage; I need to do something similar with my currant bushes. Looking forward to your future vlogs, as always.
Thanks Stan, i will do. Hopefully it'll be looking lovely by next year. Yeah, we are considering a trellis to hide the dreadful thing!
Hi Jess. As a podiatrist, I'm intrigued by your foot related remarks. Visiting your sister's garden, they didn't look toooooo bad..... Would you care to share??? Btw, my partner and I have learned sooo much from your blogs which we found by complete accident!! Helen xx
Great brassica cage!!
Thanks Sheila!
Really lovely vlog...enjoyed it ! Thank you : ) Hurrah looking forward to the surprise " going away " x
