The thing that impressed me the most about the Witcher 3 was that every side quest was great and no filler
The best game ever made. The best side quests, a good main story and the undisputed best DLC’s ever.

@@nickking9568 yeah everything witcher related is spectacular but some people think blood and wine storyline is perhaps even more compelling than the main storyline. It's really fabulous

@@HamboneGaming_ my hope is that this release will just natively integrate tons of graphical mods into the game bug free. Witcher 3 is a pain to mod because Script Merger is really user unfriendly. You basically have to know or learn JavaScript to get it to work with more than just a few mods.

What I would like is that cloak Geralt starts with in the cutscene and then disappears.

The Witcher 3 is a masterpiece. Loaded with content for those who want to get lost in a magical world and for those who want a more focused journey its easy enough to just stay right on the main quest. Gameplay is deep enough to keep builds interesting
Ultimately, it was the characters, dialogue and story that made the witcher 3 game of the decade
I paid 3 bucks for this game and all DLC together on ps store and did not know much going into the game. Blown away with how good it really was

To clarify: you need to own the DLCS (hearts of stone & blood wine) to get next gen update for these aswel! And yes W3 is getting completely full re-release on next gen & ps4

One of the best games ever made. Keeps improving further. Way to go CDPR. Also although I own Witcher 3 on my gaming pc and Switch both, my go to system to play Witcher 3 is Nintendo Switch. Very happy to see improvements and additions are coming to Switch as well.
Hopefully they will incorporate some sort of camera mod, I used one on my last play through and changed the camera positions up a bit and it drastically altered the feel of the game.
I cant wait to do a new game + with the next gen update, including even a new DLC and more Content, this is so amaizing, i cant wait !
To make a clarification that has not been mentioned in this video. "The Game Of The Year Edition" has been renamed to the "Complete Edition" so that means the game of The year edition is not separate from complete edition!
My Ryzen 5 5500U laptop could easily handle this game at amximum settings with 720p30. It was playable and looked VERY good. I hope I can still use these same settings or maybe get even better stability and performance with the settings..

I copped the Witcher 3 with every DLC and Expansion like a year and half ago for like $10 on the PSN store, and decided to wait to play it because of the rumors that the game was getting an update. And boy was it worth it, I can’t wait to see how the game will look now.
Btw they already raised price of the game on the PSN store. It’s a $49.99 right now if I’m not mistaken, so try to find deals on it before December, I’m sure they will raise the price to $60 easily.
Complete edition is 10€ in microsoft store.

what i want the most is the E3 Animations, better animations makes game looks better and the combat more satisfying you know.
Combat needs to be a focus of development. They need to revamp/improve it. That's literally all I want. The game is excellent but combat is literally the sole area where jank can be found.
It's awesome that the additional content is coming to last gen consoles. Means I can wait yet another year to buy Series X!
I've got the Switch version, I'm curious what kind of improvements they're bringing for that version since obviously the hardware is limited when compared to Series X and PS5.
Will they add duel sense features? Or maybe accessibility features like adjusting in-game text and subtitles?

I have a PS4 version but haven't played it since I don't have one (used to play it on my brother's PS4), though I did get to finish the game on the Switch.
A clarification question: if you only have the base game, would you get the complete edition with the expansions or only the next gen visual upgrade?
just the next gen visuals and performance.........you still have to buy the expansions if you don't own them why would they just give you everything in the game for free as well as a next gen upgrade?? what would that do for them...the point is, they still want people to buy the game and dlc's
Words cannot explain how much I want an official transmog system in the game, always sucks finding a beatiful set of armor and innevitably having to change it for some clown shit geralt would never realistically wear, especially hits the hardest in the early game when you're forced to throw away your kaer morhen armor for some absolute dogshit.

Its not a next gen update that would inply ps6 or xbox series y or whatever the next consoles will be called.. Its a current gen update for current gen consoles.
But what kind of ray tracing will it have on console? Shadows or reflections?
it depends on the system...naturaly raytracing requires specific hardware

You will be able to adjust setting for performance, most likely a option to switch on and off ray tracing like on cyberpunk 2077

I only have the base game no DLC... Will this ps5 update give me everything? Or just the updated base game? The wording makes it sound I'll get everything regardless if you have the DLC or not.
If you do not own the blood and wine or the hearts of stone Expansions then you will not get them for free, you will receive everything that comes with the new update but anything that pertains to the Expansions you will not get until you buy them
It's the wording that's weird they are making it sound like the dlc is purchase only no matter what version you have standard or goty edition. Im assuming as I have the goty edition ps4 im getting the dlc upgrade for free.
If you have the GoTY version all the DLC (complete edition) you will get the update for everything, the update is free no matter what, the update dosnt mean that people who do not own the Expansions like Blood and wine and hearts of stone will get those free you still have to pay for that, they are going to be going over even more detail this week on their red stream so stay tuned I'll cover it
I already have a save probably half way through and am interested if they will have level scalling for the new content im going to hold of playing more just in case it doesn't and I'm too strong for it

I had the Witcher for PS3 and I just bought it again on steam for 4 dollars,just completed the first few missions, what a beautiful game it is and about to get better, amazing!

They need to release this as a separate version on PC or allow us to still run the old one, some of us use mods that won't and in some cases can't be updated that this update will certainly break

Most likely, they did the same thing with Cyberpunk a while back, was an update released for everyone, also included a free PS5 upgrade so I’m guessing we’ll have the option to upgrade for this one (speaking for PS, Xbox should be fine)
Yes if you have the disc version the update will apply to you as well, all version of the game regardless of it being digital or physical, you will just automatically download the update digital when it's released

CDPR lists December 14th as the date they drop the Enhanced Edition. Xbox.com list the same date as well, at which point the Game of the Year Edition gets renamed to Complete Edition (as mentioned below.) FWIW, xbox.com still has the GOTY edition on sale for $9.99 (compatibility Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and enhanced for Xbox One X) for 9 more days at time of this posting.
I have a question, I own the PS4 Ultimate Edition (something like that), do I have to buy the PS5 version, or my PS4 version will be playable on PS5 with all that enhancements?

The fact that they have to specify that they will do a physical release is kinda dumb. It should just be expected, and physical and digital should release at the same time.
That aside, I can't wait for this. I'm also super curious to see what the mods they're talking about integrating to the game are gonna be.
Well there is no real point in a physical re-release for the consumer since if you have the PS4 version for example you could just use that disc and get the upgrade for free. A physical re-release is just a cash grab for CDPR in my opinion.

No point in them releasing a new digital version with all of this extra stuff for people that don't have it yet when they can just buy the version that's already available now and get all of this for free in an update, and the people who already have the game obviously don't need to buy the new digital version.
A digital re-release is just as much of a money grab when you can just get the digital version of the game available now and get all the new stuff in a free update, or even a small DLC if they wanted to go that rout.

But I guess it all depends on how much they end up charging for both versions of the price stays the same then it's all good, if they charge the full new game price then there's no point in either getting a re-release

HD remastered mod is integrated into the game, which alone is fucking huge. Go look at what that mod does on Nexus.

The confusion comes from CDPR calling this the "Next-Gen" Update which some people get confused if it means that just for the "Next-Gen" consoles alone

I am sure price will hike after update. I got witcher 3 for $2 last week on xbox sale. I had it already on playstation and pc. No way it will be $2 after the next gen update. It will probably be sold atleast at a price what a 2020 game is priced in 2022
Its one of those games like skyrim that I’ve bought on many consoles and pc. Got the Witcher 3 on switch, pc, xbox and PlayStation. I played the game mainly on pc though but wanna try it on the series x and ps5 and bought the switch version played it for 10 min and said nope. Playing the game on steam deck is what i wanted from a switch port but it was still an amazing feat with the switch’s hardware. But just got my 4090 in man is it fast it’s almost too fast for some games and cpu’s. It makes my old high refresh 3440x1440 cry but i also got a 4k 144hz display to pair with it. Been waiting on the next gen update forever it was the reason i got the xbox and PlayStation versions on the cheap.
What i don't understand is will you for example have free access to a ps5 version if you own a full PC version?
No you will have to already own a copy of the playstation version, you will get all the updates and enhancements on PC since you already own the game there but only way to get the upgrade on playstation is you will have to either already own a copy on playstation or buy a copy, cdpr is not giving the game itself away for free just the enhancements and DLC
@@HamboneGaming_ well they did say any version of any release so i kinda got my hopes up a little too high :D Probably the best move for me now is to wait for physical release, since I've already been through a couple of playthroughs. Just got a ps5 2 weeks ago and have been wanting to replay it if its more than just a frame rate. I wish they'd just remake the witcher 3 and update, improve, and add to all the quests. The story really makes it great for me but I don't if I'll feel that way with Ciri or other Witchers sorta like I feel not having Batman in Batman games. Id love a big open world where you'd release DLCs to buy so you can build your own world. We need the next improvement for open world games. Format needs a face lift
I'm more excited for this next gen upgrade than I was for cyberpunk

they need to fix geralt body movements especially when walking, also he looks like a stick, characters are too tall and slim, camera needs to be closer (make it as close as geralt glutes), swords needs to be wider and thicker (its too thin), combat needs to be upgraded to be even better, need to add more witcher gears and swords or make other relic swords and gears better, characters skin are too pinky creamy ? needs to be updated to be more realistic. there are others but i cant remember.
Horse handling needs to be better.
I hope the update doesn't screw up my game on pc.
My pc isn't that powerful and can only run witcher 3 on medium to low settings.
You will still be able to adjust the settings for older hardware so you should be OK, this will be more for people that have the PC or consoles to push better performance and graphics, but you'll be able to enjoy the new DLC and integrated mods without issue
Why is it nobody ever talk about The Witcher 2 though that's just as good as three older but just as good and to be honest I kind of like The Witcher 2 systems for combat a little bit more than I like The Witcher 3s it's not as refined as smooth but it's far more tactical and requires more thought especially on dark
If you already modded the game and use rtgi reshade you already own the Enhanced Edition.

I'm sure it was an innocent mistake, but you say "I kinda assumed people understood this is coming to all platforms." The irony is; it's statment's like this why people are seeking clarification in the first place. It's NOT coming to all platforms. It's for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. There will be people wondering if it's coming to PS4, Xbox one, and even Switch, and in the first 45 seconds of this video you've led them astray.
When you wait 6 years to play something new from witchers universe and CDPR give you information wait 4-5 years for new game. And gives you next-gen in which you will not play or play in lowest grafics... And they give you armor inspired by sh** from netflix.
CDPR annonauced Witcher 3 next-gen in 2020 year, they have 2 years to do something more than stupid armor.
I mean they should do new missions and new monsters.
You will ask why, Look at skellige sea, how much contrabands did you see ? A lot how many monster in this sea you have seen (without syrens). Anyone big boss on sea. Two big monsters will be not problem to add for big team. 2-3 weeks to make models and animations of Dragonturtle, something like Kelpia, Kejran. (For example Dragonturtle, one of Jarls ask geralt he would help him, because one big monster destroys boats and ships near his island, and he can't go on raids, and earns money from attacking nilfgards ships he gives him help to do this ship and small team with Druid, or please him to get Yennefer with him to k**l monster.)
Novigrads rivers in books we have a lot off river monsters, like: Amphisbene, Vippers, Żagnica(Geraltia żagnica is name from books), other insectoids. Could be added one or two of them, contract for nilfgard army. (For example in river lives amphisbene which destroying food transports, from land they spend much more time than river Geralt get's contract and get boat)
Monster or swamps we have only Drowners and hags, sometime foglets, where are Bloedzeugers from w1 ?
Monsters like manticore was in plan to add in Kear Mohren, why was not added. You will not tell me, it was hard to do model of him(we have pantera, detlaff wings and osluzg tail mix it and you have manticore just they should add animations 1 week of work for team of moders). How it can looks (Manticore lives on Skelliges moutains near to Village and k* cows and humans)
Scoietel missions for saving elf from Novigrad it can be more using novigrad sewages, and here could be added Zeugl. What's happend with Iorveth after witcher 2. (We can help small group of elfs run away using sewages like when we help triss, on us way could stand zeugl Iorveth(or other elf commander) help geralt fight or give geralt fight alone but he will searching another way)
Viper armor should have own grand master bonuses...
Witcher 3 word isn't fully used, they create master pice, but after someone end game 5 or more times it starting to be boring.
I know this monsters could be added in next game, but after 4 years. In witcher 3 is a lot off space to add 50% of them with small fabular to it.
They annonauced it: Witcher 3 "Complete edition" for me withot skelliges, rivers monster manticore and something with elf game isn't complete.
Fans doing missions ownself like this guy which created "a Night to remember mod with Oriana", or guys which create something not in canon of witcher "Shades of Iron".
S*** I'm playing part 2 gearing up for part three hopefully I finish this right on time to start after the update for part 3 that'll be perfect timing

I actually bought this game 4 years ago on Steam during a sale and never installed it. Good to know that my purchase still means something with this update. I'll have to finally get around to playing it after this update drops.

Completed it originally (including both expansions) on a base PS4 with a pretty outdated TV.
Cannot wait to revisit on the PS5 with my LG C2 OLED, hyped to be able to play it with a smoother framerate!

Should be ready for another playthrough about the time I get a new rig built sometime next year - this'll make it a lot more interesting, especially if the new content is substantial. Meanwhile, I'm limping along on my old 960M laptop, playing Skyrim again, again, etc. Planning on a 5th gen console in the interim, but probably won't buy another version of Wild Hunt.
