I wish the Hobbit trilogy ended with Balin visiting Bilbo and given a monolog of what happened to Dale, Erebor, and the elves. It could have also ended with Balin expressing to Bilbo his desire to reclaim Moria in the near future.

@sleevyy during the battle of azanubilzar thrain II wanted to enter moria after besting the orcs outside, but dain stopped him because he saw the balrog in the dark when he neared the entrance
I can't help but imagine Bombur, who was unwilling to refuse the call of battle as any dwarf would do, going to the battlefield in some sort of combat wheelchair, taking advantage of his weight and body mass to knock out and roll over the easterlings like rag dolls.
Grond but it's Bombur laughing maniacally as he lops off heads from his combat chair. The chair isn't mobile though - it's his normal chair being carried around by those previously mentioned poor young dwarves. He has an alternate six who swap out every few minutes to maintain efficiency.
Their feet ruffled among the dead leaves of countless other autumns that drifted over the banks of the path from the deep red carpets of the forest. Still Bombur slept and they grew very weary. At times they heard disquieting laughter. Sometimes there was singing in the distance too. The laughter was the laughter of fair voices not of goblins, and the singing was beautiful, but it sounded eerie and strange, and they were not comforted, rather they hurried on from those parts with what strength they had left. - The Hobbit - Chapter 8- Of Flies & Spiders.
You guys rock this. You know that you really bring it to life. I can't imagine a better storytelling voice or a better story to tell. Thank you so much!
I’ve always pictured Minus Tirith being a place after Sauron’s defeat. As a place that could become a multi race city. To have men dwarf elves hobbits and others living there. Rebuilt then expanded. Having other cities built onto the mountain face like the first to both sides. As well as having large caverns built inside the mountain for protection if needed. This place could become the hub of all middle earth. Becoming a mega city mountain. Where the riches of the mountain shared among those that actually live there and not passing through. Man if it was like this Sauron’s orgs wouldn’t never have breached the gates. Having Men Elf & Dwarfs working together as one force.
If you have seen the fellowship of the ring you would know Bilbo wanted to visit the elf city and Erebor/Lake Town again one last time before he grow too old.

Völuspá ("Prophecy of the Seeress") is the first poem of the Poetic Edda, a collection of Old Norse poems. It is preserved whole in two manuscripts, the Codex Regius and the Hauksbók, and partially in Snorri Sturluson's Prose Edda. J.R.R. Fascinating that Sauron knew Bilbo had the ring a few years after the Smaugs defeat. Does that imply Gollum was interrogated in Mordor earlier than indicated in "the Two Towers"? Were Lake Town and Erebor untouched by violence while Sauron and Saruman Attacked Gondor/Rohan?
It is rather impressive how long Dwarves live. Not endless like the elves, but they live far longer then men or hobbits do. Even of the numenoreans only those of the royal line lived up to 500 years, the average lived to 210, meanwhile the dwarves all can live very long, and no distinction seems to exist between the royal and non royal lifespans, because Dwalin lived to 340 years which is closer to Durin the first's lifespan then other dwarves.
I like the little added lore in Lord of the Rings Online, where Dwalin becomes ruler in the Blue Mountains. Seeing him again in the dwarf starting area put a smile on my face and it wouldn't even be to non-canon, since from this video I get the impression, that after the events of the Hobbit, only his date of death, not his whereabouts is known.
Great question! Those are the 2 most popular options. I think most people assume Nazgul, as Sauron only trusted them with the errand of reclaiming the ring.
I know Dain wasn't part of the Company but it seems jumping in to defend a fallen loved one runs in the family. I'm not sure Ori was ever actually identified amongst the dead in Moria, but was presumed dead given that none were known to have escaped or otherwise survived.
The book probably wasn't as big as the movies made it. It was probably a diary-sized fat little volume. Also, in the Hobbit, it was mentioned that dwarves, even when heavily laden, can trundle along at a quick pace because of their prodigious strength for their size. (Like ants). Hence Dain's supplied/provisioned/armed soldiers reaching Erebor so quickly.
Dain. Day-in. I never liked the Peter Jackson interpretation of the name, Dane. If Profé Tolkien had not wanted it as two syllables, then he wouldn't have put a stress mark in it. Dáin Ironfoot.
Out of everything IV even shown in terms of lore there is only 1 thing that annoys me .. if erebor was attacked during lotr after the fellowship of the ring is created, why did he not join in the fight? The iconic "We are proud to fight alongside men once more"bwould have been even more perfect that what it already is but then again one 1 dwarf plays an actual role in lotr

I'm not sure Ori was ever actually identified amongst the dead in Moria, but was presumed dead given that none were known to have escaped or otherwise survived.
All the dwarf bones were found lying about. No dwarf left Moria. He would have died one way or the other.
@@emilyelizabethbuchanan998 ....okay?
Did Gimli really schlep that book around with him to battles and great journeys? I’m sure he cursed it on the run in pursuit of the Orcs.
Subscription earned. loved it, even though it made me feel melancholy.
Good Work ❤️❤️❤️
Great job like before......Keep going :)
Wait... There's a MAP of Moria?!
Huge missed opportunity on not calling this channel Lore of the Rings.
Out of everything IV even shown in terms of lore there is only 1 thing that annoys me .. if erebor was attacked during lotr after the fellowship of the ring is created, why did he not join in the fight? The iconic "We are proud to fight alongside men once more"bwould have been even more perfect that what it already is but then again one 1 dwarf plays an actual role in lotr
love ❤️ this!!!
Remember guys, in 2033 The Hobbit book enters the Public Domain. So when that date arrives, feel free to make a horror adaptations of the story! And I mean only the Hobbit book the Rankin Bass special, the 1967 short and the Jackson Trilogy will still be locked down, along with LOTR and all it's adaptations.
Dear, can you please let me know the name of the background music played in the last few seconds of this music?
