    Coming along so well, can’t wait to see it finished. I loved your last van, so I know I’ll love this one as well. I just had to have some repairs/modifications done on my van and the 80-20 construction made it much easier. Of course I don’t do a thing a thing, lol the builder did. I have zero skills but really enjoy watching the process and the thought that goes onto the construction of a van conversion. You have undoubtedly helped many DIY’rs with their builds. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more 🐶🚐🇨🇦♥️

    Most vinyl adhesive you are supposed to let the glue tack up (dry a little) then it will not ooze out.

    This is going to be a fantastic product once finished. Great job it's the type of build I am looking to do. This gives me the planning thoughts on what the layout will look like

    Good job. 👍 I'm planning a vinyl floor too.
    Too late now, but if you turn up the vinyl at the edges just a little where it's not seen, it stops any dirt and spilled liquids getting under the floor.

    Glue getting everywhere ... I have the same problem with mustard. No matter what I'm eating, what I've put it on or how little I've used, mustard always finds it's way on me, on the table, on the floor. Don't have the same problem with ketchup, oddly. One of the reasons I went with sheet Marmoleum in my build, as opposed to typical vinyl plank: no seams.

    Hey Scott! Great job on the build this far. What were the top few reasons why you chose this flooring? Do you have any concerns with it being such a permanent flooring type? What about how the glue or the vinyl interacts with the radiant floor heat?

    Hi Scott, floor looks great! in your van build tour from last year, you mentioned very briefly your 'cradlepoint' router, and that you either cover it or would cover it in another video. But I couldn't find anything about it in other vids. Did you talk about it? I am really frustrated with all the internet variations there are out there, the one plan I was about to get is on hold due to ATT bombing in Nashville! So I would like to know if you are still using the Cradlepoint solution, and if you are happy with it. I contacted them today, and someone is supposed to call me, but it is pricey, so I thought I'd ask before jumping in with both feet...thanks for anything you can share about it!

    Why not install everything and do the floor last?

  • @cassiehero647
    @cassiehero647 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey Scott. What did you use to cover the door trim/edges and the back? Also, did you use some type of caulking or foam between the floor edges against the walls?

  • @brianmichelewallin

    Great videos, and very helpful info. Did Vanlifetech sell you the radiant heat floor and let you install it as a kit, or did you have one of their affiliates install it for you? If you installed it yourself what process did you have to go through so they would sell it to you as a kite, and any special knowledge or skills required to install their system? I would think its pretty straight forward.

    • @scottadamson6116
      @scottadamson6116  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, I was able to install it myself as I have a very good understanding of hydronic systems to Troy was ok with me doing it myself. I can completely understand why he doesnt let most people do the DIY approach and thats because he doesnt have the documentation or capacity to be answering on going support questions. I know as he grows his company he plans to make it so anyone can install the floor themselves and have amazing documentation on it.
