  • In this video, I take you through the journey from Nairobi, Kenya to Arusha Tanzania by road through the Namanga border.
    On average, the trip from Nairobi to Arusha takes around 6 hours. If you're using a shuttle, you may take considerable time at Namanga border since the border processing might be quite slow. Please note that Namanga border is the busiest border point.
    You can get 22-seater shuttles to Tz from Nairobi CBD at the junction of Muindu Mbingu Street and University Way. These shuttles travel to Nairobi every day at 0800hrs
    The cost of the shuttle - one trip is KES 2,500 and round trip is KES 5,000.
    I hope you find this insightful.

    Thank you my Kenyan sister. Hongera! We need to create more people-to-people ties between our two nations. We enjoy one of the most peaceful borders in history actually, the kind that the USA has with Canada, two peoples that are cousins with destinies combined. 🇹🇿🇰🇪 Forever!

    In December 2020 i took this trip and i recall paying about $25. The exchange then was about 100 Kshilllings to $1US so I guess they retained the 2020 rate in Shillings otherwise an adjustment to todays exchange would be 4500 Kshillings. I wonder if they are still turning a profit at this cost. Beautiful drive and as you stated the Namanga border does slow the trip a lot for the border checks. A memorable trip which i hope to take again one day. Thanks for sharing!🎉

      Thanks for watching. Perhaps it will also depend with your mode of booking. If you're booking through online apps, the rates tend to be slightly inflated. Just curious to know, did you use the normal 22 seater shuttles and how did you book it?

    Nice looking place ;Brightstar. Was it reasonably priced compared to Nairobi?

    • @beckyexplores
      @beckyexplores  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Considering that Arusha is a gateway to safari destinations and to Mt.Kilimanjaro, the locals are more tourist aware and prices are slightly high compared to Nairobi which is a huge city with numerous accommodation options i.e hotels, lodgings, airbnbs etc to suit your budget. So I'd say it's reasonably priced compared to other accommodation options within the Arusha area.

      I recommend Bright Star Hotel. The hotel is near the CBD and easily accessible. The food is great and the staff are extremely helpful. Prices are also very reasonable. Instead of checking in through online apps, i suggest you call them directly for better prices
