No, greeting with the left hand is not because it’s considered dirty! It’s basically disrespectful and halfhearted to use your left hand to give help, or greet someone. Try to use your right hand while, not only in TZ but also within East Africa. Most people in the cities may not get angry or even tell you, because they’ll understand that you probably don’t know. But now that you know, don’t do it. Even left handed people will greet with the right hand. Unless of course you lost your right hand due to an accident or something.
Asante sana 👏👌

Do not go out when it gets dark? Maybe in Arusha, yes. I lived in Dar es Salaam for 9 years, nightlife is so very much alive and safe.

Hamna shida!
In Africa whenever I went, using the left hand to give something or to greet, is considered rude. Nothing to do with wiping someone's arse!
Your accent sounds more like a mashup of Indian, Dutch and German than straight German 😁
It's true I am a Tanzanian For us time isn't kept as in your country
Using your left is regarded as disrespect but if you are left handed it is okay. This also depends on which part of Tanzania you come from.
Tanzania has many tribes with different cultures.
Local coffee - she means Africafe! 😂😂😂
Wie hast du diesen afrikanischen Akzent bekommen?
I want to travel there, can you give an estimate on how much it will cost to travel there? Thanks

Hugging 🤗 is also okay. Just don’t kiss in public
No hugging except for calming your crying child.
