Yup, we just got back from our 9 day stay in SK and we didn't need the k-eta! Yay! I guess I look super asian because the FAs never gave me an arrival card but it was easy enough to fill one up while standing in line at customs. There was also a sign there for an app you can download to complete an arrival card electronically. Also, I used an E-sim that I purchased online from SK Telecom. It was great coz I didn't have to remove my old sim and I was able to accept inbound calls and texts using the Korean phone number from the sim. Aside from forgetting my phone in a cab (which the cab driver was so nice to return to me), my vacation was amazing and hassle-free. I was even able to rent a car and drive on Jeju island which was so glorious! Keep those tips coming, Girl. You're helping a lot of people. 😊
Thank you so much for the update. Even though we've already purchased our K-ETA (rats) for our trip in a couple of weeks -- super excited to get there and explore for a month! Happy to hear you are considering tours as we would love to meet you and learn from your experiences. Sorry to hear you've been having a rough week - I'll keep you in my prayers.
Oh no! Well, good thing you’re prepared 🫂 Excited for you to finally get here as well! Hopefully I’ll be able to meet you on a tour!!! Prayers would be much, much appreciated. Thank you so much 🫂 The enemy definitely got me good but the Lord is my strength and my refuge and I shall not fear ❤️✨ Let me know how I can pray for you as well~ much love!
Thanks so much for the update. We’re looking forward to three glorious weeks in S Korea in Oct….our second visit. Even as a second time visitor I find your travel videos very helpful.
I’m headed solo too. But for work. Two weeks station. I leave the 27 this month. How is it over there now ? How was your arrival ? Anything I should be ready?
It was thanks to your prior videos that helped me on first visit to South Korea back in March 2023 for Spring Break! I traveled from Miami, FL. Thank You!
I’m trying to study film in Busan end of this year and your videos have been such a huge help to me! If I may leave a request, could you do a video about getting a gym membership in Korea as a foreigner? I’m fairly fluent in Korean and pretty much a 헬창 but have pretty bad anxiety associated with situations like that lol. This is only if it’s convenient enough for you of course, either way, thank you for this channel. I hope my Korea dream works out and if it does, I’ll have you to thank in such a huge part!
Thank you, Megan, for your super helpful videos! My daughter and I are flying into Seoul the first weekend of May for a 2-week visit and we're both super excited. I was born just north of Seoul, abandoned as a newborn on the street, and place through adoption into the States months later. This is my first trip back to my birth country. I believe God is sovereign. I don't understand why for some of the events in my life, but I know they are for my good and His glory. I'm excited to experience the culture! ~Sylvia
Thank you for this post! I recently traveled to South Korea and your video was the most up-to-date and accurate vlog and helped me immensely! Everything you mentioned were spot on and there were no surprises and no stress for entering South Korea, all because of the pre-prep I did, thanks to your vlog!
Hi Megan coming to the end of my two week vacation here in Seoul just like to thank for all your videos I watched before I came very helpful hope to return next year
Thanks for this update!. I hope we can be friends when we ever meet in Seoul. Just like to have a friend who knows about Korea. I bet your Korean is way better than mine :)
Hi, I want to ask if you still need the Q-code when entering Korea (since I've heard it's no longer required but I'm not 100% sure)? Thanks in advance! I also wanted to say the video is very good with good advises and useful info!
Hi Megan! I am an older solo traveler coming to South Korea for the month of October and your videos and tips have been very helpful. I added my email address for your future tour guide information and would be very interested. Thank you!
Hello I am new to your channel and this video has been helpful. Although I have been to Korea like 8 or 9 years ago, I very much feel alienated with all these new era of travelling requirements. Thank you for sharing your tips and web referrals. If time permits, I might be lucky to go to BTS Suga final concert there🙏🙏🙏
Hi megan! Love to see your updated requierement to come in Seoul. I wish I could join your tour bcs I’ll arrived in Seoul alone in 13-20 May. My friend’s visa is rejected by korean embassy. So It was a little bit confusing me to go there all alone or join open trip. But I am scared that I cant enjoy the trip then. I wish you could help me 🥹🥹🫶🏻🫶🏻❤️❤️
Hi Megan. I've been watching your videos and they are super helpful! Thank you very much. So excited for my upcoming visit to S. Korea. One question - is there Uber in Seoul and/or Busan? Thanks and have a great day! :)
Thanks for the helpful vidoes for the travler! But can you make some videos that help the people who recently moved here? Like, how to learn Korean for people who just arrived but are not in school. Thanks!
Hi, I am a new subscriber. Love your videos. Very informative. Do you know if these immigration requirements are also applied for ferry ⛴️ entry to Busan, south Korea from Fukuoka,Japan? Thanks in advance.
Just want to clarify: no K-ETA for those who are from the countries listed on the screen! But how long you can stay is still dependent on what country you’re from as well. Check this website to see how long you can stay in Korea per tourist visa: www.k-eta.go.kr/portal/guide/viewetaalification.do
Hi there! Thank you for your videos in general. They have been helpful even if I have already travelled to Korea. One question that I cannot seem to find a right answer: I am an actress for years now and I want to come to Korea as an entertainer. Can I get a visa without a sponsor? And what that visa would be? Thank you in advance.
my K-Eta was denied 3 times and I can't go to korea this spring 😢 had to resort going to japan instead which the process is pleasantly more straight forward.
I am interested in any tours locally in Seoul. Arriving in early August, 2023. Your Videos are very informative and I see you place baseball. I would like to attend a baseball game in Seoul one day too if possible and I see you place baseball too.
Thank you so much for the information. It was super helpful! I am visiting Korea with my mom in 10 days to visit family! Although the K-eta is not required, do you know if it's faster to get through immigration if we apply for one?
Hi Meghan! Do we still need the qr code if we're from one of the countries exempt of requiring a k-eta? Heading to South Korea with a couple of friends in a few weeks and super excited!
Hi Megan! My husband and I are Canadian citizens and going to Korea end of May. My question is, since we will be flying from the Philippines using a Canadian passport, we do not need KETA right but we will fill out an arrival card instead? Thanks for any help and advise you can extend as it is our first time traveling to Seoul. We are already excited to have this trip after the pandemic and hoping to control my severe anxiety traveling overseas. Take care and God bless you in everything that you do!
I’m so glad you asked this question. We are also flying from Philippines to Korea with U.S. passport. Did you need the KETA for entry since you flew from Philippines?
Thanks Megan, so if you’re just staying for extended layover and want to take a tour, you still needs to do the QR code but no KETA needed? Thank you Can you book the tour in advance? Thanks
Hi Megan ! My family and I are planning to arrive to Seoul this coming Tuesday August 22nd, my son who is 20 years and I are holding US passport, my husband is a green card holder and he has an Ecuadorian passport .. do we need to get the K-ETA for the three of us or just for my Ecuadorian husband ? Please help me with that information... We are flying out from SFO directly to Seoul and we are planing to stay in the hotel for 7 days.

Hi, can someone help me out? I am from the U.S. and met a Korean woman who is letting me stay with her family in korea, I plan on looking for a job under e-6 visa, so do I need any visa to enter Korea and get by customs? I plan on staying and finding a job under e-6 visa but if I dont find a job, I will go to japan before the 90 days 5 days before. Is there any Visa I need to do this or, am I okay with only the arrival card? I am 20 years old so flying in general is a new expierience for me and I am overall really confused with visas and I dont want to book the ticket and then be deniued entry. Is there a visa I need?

You don't need the q code from my experience. They give you a paper that asks if you have symptoms.
You’re right! But the QR code will make the process of immigration MUCH faster! (see the comment posted before yours)
Hi Megan! For the phone number in qcode, would it be ok to put the hotel's number? 😊 thank you so much for this update. You're the best! 💜
