    K-eta is no longer needed for going to korea from the US: The government of the Republic of Korea announced that from April 1, 2023 to December 31, 2024, the Korean Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA) is no longer required for U.S. citizens visiting Korea for 90 days or less for business or tourism.

      Thank you for that information. Do I still need to apply for a Visa for entering Korea from US?

    • @rick2892
      @rick2892 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jenniferkuan6654 no keta visa requirement anymore for staying less than 30 days I believe. But I’d still recommend doing the q code online not more than 3 days before your actual arrival in Korea in order to save time

    Thanks. I'm just transferring through Korea with a 2 hour layover, but their official websites and documentation were not very clear on the Q-code and K-eta in those cases. Thanks for specifying that I don't need either for a transfer.

    I’ll be returning to Korea next month. Previously there last October. I edited my K-ETA and changed information to next month’s trip. However, I was told to input my daughters address in Korea as that will be the place I will be staying at the most. I saw you said to input first hotel I K-ETA. Just wanted to find out if it’s first hotel (we will stay for 2 nights in Seoul upon arrival then going to her apt in Jeonju) or her should I put Jeonju apt. address.
    Please advise. Thank you.

    Hi Korea Friend! I just submitted K-ETA an hour ago and added my mom and her 2 friends in my one application. I found the exact hotel address on Google, but when I tried to search it in the K-ETA application pop up window (tried various inputs of the address) it doesn’t show the address I want, so I put the “closest” address to the hotel instead.
    The online website application is not very user friendly as when I tried searching for the accommodation address, I wasn’t able to scroll beyond and below what was on the screen, hence limiting whatever possible accurate address I could select.
    I have already booked our flight tickets for last week of March 2023. So I am worried the application will not go through.
    Please help or share any information to ease my worry regarding this as I tried various ways online and even emailing the K-ETA official without avail.

    Hi, thank you for sharing information. I am going to South Korea at the end of February, I saw on Arrival Card you need to fill out the purpose of going to Southe Korea, which confused me a little about “Visit Relative” and “Tour”. My K-ETA is already approved and I wrote “Visit” there, what should I fill out on arrival card?
    Because when thinking about “TOUR” I was thinking about a big group of tourists (which we are not..),that why I wrote VISIT instead of TOUR on KETA 😅

    • @ozlemkendoz5036
      @ozlemkendoz5036 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey I had the same issue, thought the same thing! But I went back on the K-ETA website and where you enter your details to check your application you can actually edit it and change it, you change it to tour and then it comes up under individual tour or group (I’m pretty sure that was the options) and you can fix it like that! Free of charge
      Hope that made sense and helps you!

    Thank you for the information 、 if I didn't do a pcr test and got on the plane, is there any chance I can get into Korean?

    We are from the Netherlands and visiting South Korea this April. My question is do we still need to do a PCR Test at the Incheon Airport after arrival? Thank you!!

    Hi Yong. I’ve gotten the K-ETA but is it ok to change the purpose of the trip prior to the trip? Thanks.

    Thanks for the information! I do have a question! I am a US permanent resident (green card), Philippine passport holder. I read that I do not qualify for K-ETA because I have a Ph passport. However I also read that I don't need to apply for visa because I am flying from US to a third country with a US permanent residency card. What should I do?

      Hello. I see but US permanent residency card does not apply in Korea. So if you can't apply for K-ETA, then you need a visa to visit Korea. Hope this helps! :)

    Wow! This is very helpful! As in! I’m visiting Korea next month. 😊 I would like to ask, if I already have a visa, do I need to get K-ETA?

      If you have a visa, then you don't need to get K-ETA ;)
