Went to Seoul from USA in early August and there is now no K-ETA needed and no Q Code either. Just need to fill out the little yellow entry card that they give you on the airplane to get in now.
Starting 7/27/23 US Citizen no longer requires Q code. From April 1, 2023, to December 31, 2024, is not required for US citizens for stays of 90 days or less that are for tourism or business purposes.
Your travel tips always come in handy! By the way, I recently stumbled upon the new V4 of the Bento Bag from Nomad Lane, and it looks like a game-changer. Have you had a chance to explore it yet?
Thanks for showing the step-by-step process after getting off the plane. Where did you receive the arrival card and the customs declaration form? Were they both given to you on the flight? (I've never gone to South Korea before, so I want to be 100% sure that I understand correctly.)
Hi your video is quite good, I was wondering do I need to do the QR code even though I already have a VISA or KETA. What is the QR code for? Health Declaration?
Do I need to fill out an arrival card AND the K-eta or just one? I already have my k-eta completed ahead of time. Thank you for this video, it's very helpful to see the steps in real time.
Great video! Thank you very much for the information Do you know if it's possible to fill the Q-code(health declaration) physically? I mean, once you arrive at the airport?
Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you found the video helpful. Regarding the Q-code (health declaration), it seems possible to fill it out physically upon arrival at the airport, as I witnessed some people doing so.
Thanks for the video. One question: when i touch down at the airport can i buy a tmoney card first, then top-up with money, then use it to buy arex ticket to Seoul? Or arex ticket needs to be a separate ticket ?

Hi. Thank you for this video, very detailed. We are going to Seoul this July via Incheon. Is the K-ETA different from the tourist visa they are giving now? What I got is an approval from the portal that I need to print out to show the immigration. Is it a different form? Also the Qcode, can I download and fill out for my companion as well?
If you are going here for volontaire do they should ask you some question like do they check our account I mean it's necessary to have lot of money in your account and thank you so much for this vedio ❤❤
If you're traveling for volunteer work, immigration officers may ask about your purpose of visit and may inquire about your activities and arrangements. They might not specifically check your bank account, but having sufficient funds to cover your stay and return is advisable to demonstrate your financial stability during your visit.
Sorry for my late reply. As for my knowledge, it depends on your passport. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, I recommend checking with the Korean embassy in home country.
For tur transit to Korea do I neeeded k-eta? I just have to 2 hour’s transit in incheon and than I go to Tokyo, did I needed to pass passport check or I will go to the directly to transit passengers side?
Hi, I dont know the exact speed of the immigration process, but recently, the immigration process has been quite efficient. One determining factor is the volume of flights arriving simultaneously with yours.
Hi, i had a question regarding duty free shopping? is there limit to how much liquids like skincare i can buy as i am in transit in incheon airport going to another place/
Hello, I think there is a limit to how much liquids like skincare you can buy when you are in transit at Incheon airport. The general limit is 100ml per container. Just to be safe, check with the airline.
OMG! My flight arrives at 9:40, will there be enough time to catch the last train after immigration, luggage pick up and finding my way to the station? Last train leaves at 10:40PM. 😑 I'm a bit stressed thinking about it.
It seems like there will be sufficient time to catch the last train, howevere, you also have the alternative of taking the airport bus to get to the city.
Incheon Airport is indeed a large airport. It has a single main terminal building that houses Concourse A and B. The discrepancy in videos might be due to different filming locations within the airport or variations in the time and circumstances of the videos.
Hello. Hope you can answer my question. First of all thanks a lot for yoyr video. Im going to Seoul in 26 july and i have the k-eta. Can you please help me about the Q-code? Is it necessary to get the entry and where can i fill the document. If I'm not vaccinated is it a problem?
Hello! Thank you for watching the video, and I'm glad it was useful to you. As for the Q-code, it is indeed necessary to obtain the entry, and you can fill out the document online. The vaccination status doesn't appear to be a requirement for completing the Q-code.
K-ETA (Korean Electronic Travel Authorization) is a travel authorization for entering Korea. Whether or not you need to apply for K-ETA depends on your nationality. However, if you are from the United States, you dont need to apply for it.
Was this filmed at terminal 1 or 2? If travelling to Seoul rather than transfer is there a clear path split where you go to immigration/customs rather than international transfer? I have a long layover and wanted to exit the airport to see the city - is this fairly easy to do?
Terminal: 1. Yes, if you're traveling to Seoul instead of making a connecting flight, there is a clear path where you need to go through immigration and customs instead of international transfer.
Can I ask you how long the process from disembarking from airplane to seoul station took? I am travelling exactly the same way, and would like to know how long it will take me to get from airport to hotel. Thanks for sharing...
If you're traveling from the airport to Seoul Station, the entire process doesn't take much time. The duration may vary depending on the time of your arrival, but generally, it's a quick process. Based on my experience, it took me less than 30 minutes to go through the entire process and another 40 min to arrive to Seoul station. The immigration process at Incheon airport is typically faster compared to neighboring countries like Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and others.
ANSWER FROM THE WEBSITE overseas.mofa.go.kr No. Transfer/transit passengers who are not entering Korea do not need to get a K-ETA. Some airlines may require passengers to check in again during transit, while others may not. By checking with your airline ahead of time, you can avoid any confusion or delays during your layover in Korea.
In my video, it can be seen that a PCR test was not required to enter Korea. However, travel requirements can vary depending on the specific country and its policies. I recommend checking with the official government websites.
I believe you could consider using your friend's phone number as an alternative. In my case, I used the address and phone number of my accomodation (Hotel).
The entry requirements for Korea vary depending on your passport. If you say you dont need them, it means people who have a German passport are exempt from undergoing additional procedures.
Hello! If you are only having a stopover in South Korea for 9 hours and your final destination is the Philippines, ...I THINK ...you don't need to register for a K-eta or get a Q code.
Considering that your ultimate destination is not Korea, but you have a transit in Korea, the requirement for a K-eta visa will hinge upon whether you will undergo the immigration process or not. It is advisable to confirm the precise prerequisites with your airline company.

Tourist visa requirements vary by nationality. Some nationalities can enter Korea without a visa, but entry requirements can change. In the past, only my passport was needed, but now K-ETA was required. For example, american passport holders are exempt from K-ETA. Stay informed about visa and entry regulations.
