Man your videos are great! I bought this 96 Grand cherokee limited and it has a swaying issue back and forth while driving. I've done 4 new tires, new steering box, shaft, pitman arm, tie rod kit, stabilizer shock, front sway bar links and bushings, front lower control arms. I need to get it re-aligned and it feels a lot better but still does it. I've basically replaced the whole front end of this truck. Any advice? I didn't do the uppers because they looked like a nightmare and I can't feel much play with a pry bar. Also upper and lower ball joints were done a year ago. I got the truck for my 25 year old step daughter I say that's the way it is because it's a 26 year old vehicle with solid axles and it's heavy but to her the steering wheel feels loose and she says the truck jerks in and out of the lane. I've almost given up! HELP!!!! LOL
Your videos are the way they should be done, short and sweet with editing and camera shots that you can see what to do. And some are even funny (“Monday be like...”) which is cool too. Looks like you really know your sh#* man, especially on the vids where you explain what each component does (like with the drive shafts). I got a ‘97 ZJ (straight 6) too and I subscribed in case I gotta use your videos for something else. Thanks for putting this sh*+ out there and helping us out.
Any reason why to have the relief hole side toward the axle? I noticed the bushings have the slots in them, I have a set like those I put on and ordered a different rear set on accident and it doesn't have the relief hole or the different bushings. So far no one call tell me why
I cant tell you why neither and Im sure it doesnt matter. The only reason for me doing so was because thats the side they were on when the originals came off
The other set I ordered on accident, I was thinking of trying those out. I'm still getting a clunk from the rear, and was thinking maybe the other ones with the solid bushings would be better. I replaced everything back there except the track bar. The shocks were cheap, and I have a good amount of weight in the back with subwoofers and batteries. You think maybe my shocks are making the same clunk sounds you described in the video where you replaced your shocks?
Good evening. I watched your video for changing out the lower rear control arms. I have a 03 jeep grand Cherokee. I got every loose. But the re-install is kicking my butt. Its like I dont have enough clearance to put in the last bolt, once you get one in. Any advice you can give me as to what I'm doing wrong? I'm just a weekend warrior type of mechanic. I tried. 🤷🏽♂️
That sometimes take a lot of playing and moving around the heavy stuff (axle in this case). Do everything safely, but you might have to be violent. Also if you use a screwdriver or something smaller, you can generally align that first, and then use that to move the bushing around to get the full size bolts through. Hammers work sometimes, or driving it in the way he did in the video. A second person can be a big help. Doing the transmission mount, I had someone on a large pry bar bouncing the transfer case until I was able to bang the bolt in with a hammer. It was quick. I called a second person over after messing around with it for 15 mins. Taking a break also helps, well helps you not get frustrated. I'm sure you have it done by now, but this is for anyone else, and future reference.

@@terrormisu . You probably figured out the clunk by now but it sounds like the rear upper control arm ball joint?
