Tremendous work! I do a lot of ink drawings, and you are right about difficulty with the light and mid tones. I make heavy use of stippling, but it takes forever. Graphite is so much softer, and I love this effect. Thanks so much for for the lesson, I will incorporate this into my drawings.

I was already thinking of doing this is in the drawing that I am working on. Stumbled upon your video and it allayed my concerns. Like the way these two mediums complement each other. Lovely a beautiful scene typical English countryside, I’m loving these ink drawings , each of them is different and have their own charm. Today it lifted my spirits when I saw this series pop up in patreon email feed , the prospect of extended lockdown for me was depressing but it’s in art that one escape from all the problems and do things and visit places which aren’t an option anymore. Your vlogs taking us out into the countryside are an added dimension to what you offer on Patreon and I know those of us who are housebound look forward to them when they pop up, you really do look after the whole person body mind and spirit, I practice my walking exercises to your blog videos they make a necessary task far more enjoyable, as always Thankyou, I know this scene came up in your last vlog and when I’ve done it I will be able to say I’ve been there lol

Jon, if one does what you are suggesting, the difficulty is graphite would need to be 'fixed' with say spectrafix... But then the ink of pens like microns from sakura would bleed because of the use of fixative isn't it?
