I wish we got more ODST games. Like one on CE that covers the events of the other marines on the ring (Alpha base, blowing the truth and rec, interviewing the flood infected Jenkins etc.), one on Halo 2 set on the ring following Johnson and Miranda, another on Halo 3 but instead of ODSTs you're a spec ops elite helping shipmaster destroy Truth's fleet. So much potential for other games.

ODST takes place after the city was evacuated of civilians during Sadie's story, hence why the NMPD is empty when you get there. Who knows though, there might be two dead guys on the campaign level that are meant to be the NMPD officers that were shot.
If you're talking about the landing pad evacuations, I Believe organized evacuations started after Kinsler was killed by the refugees and Citizens since he was giving orders to the corrupt cops preventing them from boarding the Maglev Monorails and leaving New Mombasa. sometime between kinsler's death and In Amber Clad (Master chief) arriving
I remember when I got the Endure Achievement. I solo'd it at Rally Point Night... And I'm going to let you know, that took me hundreds of tries to finally get it; I was at my wit's end, trying to do hit and run tactics, keep my back to the walls and hoping I don't get sniped by Jackals or bombarded by Wraith mortars and Fuel Rod guns, while picking up as many grenades as possible to take down Brutes and Hunters and trying to headshot as many Grunts and Jackals as possible with just a Covenant Carbine and a Plasma Pistol to immobilize the Wraiths. In short, don't do what I did; just go to the Nature Reserve and steal a Chopper.
the indoor ONI map is where its at. Theres no lame vehicle cheese, kill the covenant or be killed. Got endured back in the day and just earned it yesterday in MCC both on ONI sword base.
One reason I’ve always loved ODST and being able to be in a city for the whole game is half the time I’m just playing slow. As I’m waking around the city, I still after these many years just imagine how the city would have looked like in its prime. Great vid once again 😃👍🏽
imagine if we had a ODST style game where we are not an unstoppible spartan and instead an ODST or Marine and instead of fighting the covenant we run from the flood
I love, love the ODST theme, weapons and hud. It pains me it’s never returned. Does anyone know any mods that allow you to play regular Halo 3 campaign as an ODST? Or at least change the hud?? Is that even possible??
To my knowledge, modding the hud and player model like that would take a lot of work. In english: Halo's levels are all built individually, all with specific files loaded into them. (In other words, it's not like Skyrim or most other games where you just edit the files and the whole mod comes to life. For even the smallest changes, a whole level needs to be loaded and compiled again) So when 343 brought the ODST weapons into Halo 3 multiplayer, they had to make sure every map had the files injected in them, so the game settings could load the new weapons. With this being said, a mod would first need a way to extract the ODST models and load it into Halo 3, then configuring and replacing the chief model with the right animations in place. That's not even starting on the ODST health and interface systems that aren't even in Halo 3 to begin with. Once we have proper modding tools, I'm sure it will be easy for experienced modders to poke around with and make though. But for now I'm not sure what could be done for that, or if anyone has gone far enough to make that happen.

I mean cmon, who the hell wants to play as a muted Sgt Johnson? I cant yell about being a man anymore, heartbreaking. Only the host in custom firefight can hear any voice lines. In matchmaking its just the injured noises. 343 has yet to even aknowledge this bug, Im dreading that they wont ever change it. FOR THE LOVE OF HALO BRING BACK THE ODST'S DIALOGUE IN FIREFIGHT
your narration makes a really good background while cleaning the kitchen. had to get a splinter out first. note to all, if splinter is stuck good, make solution of baking soda and water, soak bandana, and wrap splinter for about 5 minutes first.
In the last cutscene it shows a carrier about to glass the location of last exit where the squad was before they fled in the phantom, and then In a few scenes after it shows the whole wide shot of new Mombasa and the ark but the place where the carrier glassed last exit not even a minute ago looks untouched and the carrier is nowhere to be seen, unless it’s the one on the right but either way it’s like nothing happened
I noticed that throughout the game on various monitors and when you access the Superintendent it inputs Dare’s password on everything. This even happens on the screens in NMPD HQ. I’m wondering if Alpha-Nine’s armor had some sort of tracker on them so that when the Superintendent scanned them it inputs Dare’s password and allows them to open doors in the building and get where they need to go. Food for thought
I actually finished Endure earlier, I recommend the map Alpha Site. Noob combo is highly recommended and stacking power weapons in the elevator between rounds is a good strategy. Rockets for Chieftains after they are hit with plasma pistols and also for Hunters, fuel rods as backup and even as a main weapon. Spike grenades and plasmas for lighter infantry (mainly brutes.). War Chieftains can be jumped over and hit in the back. If you didn't know an invincible Chieftain can be killed with an assassination. During bonus rounds move back to the outer areas and pick off grunts while they spawn on the platforms above main area. Spray red drones with plasma pistol or brute plasma rifle shots to break their shields and finish with headshots. You want to save your lives for the Black Eye rounds, you'll need them.
For Halo Infinite, I feel like the Silent Shadow should take a few lessons from the Marauder from DOOM Eternal. With Microsoft buying ZeniMax and Bethesda, 343 should team up with id Software to explore endless opportunities.

Alright, ill admit it. When school first started this year I had trouble getting back into a sleep schedule. I couldn’t play music on my phone at the time so one night I just busted out my laptop and had it play the entire Halo 3: ODST soundtrack over night.
Honestly we need a mode where its the full New mombasa map from ODST and you can just walk around at night with the ODST soundtrack playing killing randomly deployed squads of covenant. I could legit fall asleep to that and still be shooting.

We saw a halo installation being made in halo 3 using large plates, beams with large circular sections as well as large structures (which I wonder what these would be for?) during the warthog run. In halo wars 2 we saw Anders pull up a section of installation 09 with a banished squad on it and it was hexagonal. Now in halo infinite demo we saw hexagonal pillars and large sections being separated apart from the main installation similar to wars 2. So I am wondering if each installation is made differently or is it 343s decision for that?
