Small tip if doing it again, do not close the bonnet without testing it first, use a screwdriver to press down the lock to replicate the bonnet being closed, then unlock with your key, then you know its all good
Haha mate my st same.colour and year as urs and I just had same issues had to fit new lock and my revs weird now n again gonna try a new maf sensor hope this helps mate
Use any car daily it'll likely need repairs more often than one that isn't. I've had 4 different MK2's and all have been really reliable, am selling my TDCI next month so I can go back to dailying the ST as sitting in a garage for 3yrs hasn't been good for it.

Same😂😂
Just done my bonnet latch 😂 the swear words
I’ve never sworn so much 🤣
Same had two and they do the same such a stupid design
The stupid ford logo that twists can snap off as well if you close the bonnet with out tucking it back into position
@@regandunn4850 🤣🤣🤣not done that yet
@@flippingcarsrepairs I did it the first day I got the car 🤣
I’ve got a 2010 one and I also have some problems with it on obd i’ve got p0299 it seems that its not that reliable if it’s used daily.

I daily mine and in my previous job I used to do 140miles a day
Like it was only boosting a quarter of way and it's cp320 tuned haha turn car off and on and it's fine wtf
Might be the boost solenoid.
Worth a switch-out.
@@emayteetee73 thank you
If not that it’s actuator
Turns out it was maf sensor
That’s odd normal with maf sensor you get rough idle…. My mk2 st only boosted to quarter ended up being actuator .. at least the problem is sorted
