Showreel Josh Matthew 2025

A showreel of my work featuring my short films. I have included films where I held a variety of responsibilities.
One of my favourite projects was Mirror Me, a short film I worked on as part of my student filmmaking journey. It explored themes of identity and perception and was given a Silver Award in the Global Indie Film Festival, selected as a semi-finalist at the Young Film Academy Awards and featured in the Lift-Off Filmmaker Sessions​. For Pest Control, a solo project, I particularly enjoyed scripting the story, my inspiration came from an article on home surveillance. Lightning Before Thunder is a documentary created as part of the BFI Film Academy. The film focused on the story of a Ukrainian refugee football team. Additionally, I worked as a Camera Operator and Sound on Where’s Gilbert, a short film created during the YFA Summer Camp in 2023.
