Tony!! Have you gotten any of the IVIPQ iems? I ordered 4 of them but I'm extremely excited about the new 10 BA set they have. They should arrive next week for me.
Waiting for my 3DD Shanhai IQ-14 to arrive. Talking to the team and judging by the driver configuration and specifications, there's a good chance it'll give my Penon Serial a run for its money (USD 300 vs USD 60...). They seem to have the Serial explicitly in their sights and tackling some of the well known shortcomings with the Penon - - a hair light sub bass, detail retrieval not the best nor upper register extension etc. As we say in Singlish :"see how lor 😆"
Of course the Serial is equally well known for their sheer musicality, lush mids, relaxed organic sound, natural timbre. You can't fault the Serial necessarily for the shortcomings as that was not the intended tuning.
@@akros9333 👆🏼 Excellent 👍🏽 - - if received already, does your IQ-12 (Smurf, 1+3) have INAWAKEN branding on the "imported" BAs? Separately, I have the InAwaken DAWN-MS 11.2mm 1DD IEMs arriving Friday, just cleared Customs 🛃. Launched mid August.
The whole design concept of placing thr cross over network in the faceplate, and making it swappable, is so incredibly fresh, and outside the box, that it deserves way more praise and attention than it has received. I applaud them for their originality in a sea of sameness. Sadly, while the idea is out of the box in a good way, the price is outside of my wallet in a big way. 😂
