I've slept with my pets all my life and have never suffered any ill effects. Compare that to all the bugs and germs I've caught from contact with people over the years.
Since I started adopting cats I have always allowed them to sleep with me. The benefits outweigh the risks. I say don’t even worry about the risks. Change your sheets often and clean the litter boxes and nothing feels safer than sleeping with your cats.
Yeah, the only ill effect I have is when Simba plonks down on my chest. He weighs nearly 25lbs. However, I have had a cat put me in the hospital twice. Once over Capnocytophaga from a bite (that infection moved incredibly fast. Went to bed with some minor swelling only to wake up around 5am to excruciating pain and the classic red streaks going up my arm.) The second for Bartonella, aka Cat Scratch Fever. 0/10 Do not recommend.
I sleep with my animals too. Cats and dogs that is. My guinea pigs and bird wouldn’t work out very well. Since I was a child, I have slept with my cats or dogs. It’s very comforting.
When you are loved by a cat, it means you earned love, and that is a great feeling. They love you and give you space, who doesn't want that kind of relationship 😃
Your cat gives you space? My three rescues follow me around the house and catpile on me when I sit down at my computer. My cat is my PTSD reliever. I am a disabled veteran and I did 3 Iraq tours. So between my medical problems and my PTSD induced insomnia. Sleep is a very hard thing for me to achieve. My cat knows when its time to sleep and fusses at me to go lay down. Then he crawls under the blanket and lays across my left shoulder. I usually fall asleep much faster with him there. He can tell when my back is bothering me and come sit on my lap. It helps relieve the stress I get from the pain. He only wants to socialize with me. And tends to ignore other humans lol.

That's really cool that she went camping with you- I always feared mine would get lost. My last cat however, since I moved around a lot- in her last 2 years, she was as happy riding in the car as any dog, would walk around on leash and harness at the vet while purring. She was a tortioseshell.

I love when my cat decides to sleep on my bed with me and I've found her purrs actually helps to comfort me enough to sleep. I have recorded her purr (for when she is not with me) and when I'm feeling upset or stressed out I always listen to it and it helps to calm me, she also seems to KNOW when I'm upset about something and she just curls up on my lap and starts purring, this is especially comforting when I'm crying alone at night while trying to sleep
My cat is almost 2 yrs old. If I have a hard day or I’m sad or hurting for some reason, she knows it and always lays on my lap or sleeps with me and she litterally knows I need some extra love and attention . She can’t purr out loud like mist do, but she gets right next to me , my arm, or close to my tummy, or puts her paw on my arm and I can feel her purring. She’s so sweet. But she can run like the wind and play with her toys a lot. I love her and I can tell she knows it. She was a Christmas gift from one of my sons and his wife. She loves my husband too. We really enjoy her.
A cat stayed with me for a month and even though I had a little bed for him, he'd always curl up next to me while I slept. He also liked to sleep in a box.
Thank you sooooo much for taking in a beautiful abandoned cat/kitten. I have 2 rescues, both were only 7-8 weeks old and were abandoned outside. 1 in 8” of snow. Poor baby as almost frozen. They sure give us lots and lots of love. It actually seems that they know exactly when we need special attention and they always give it. Check out about cats purring and healing, both human and other cats in their pride. So now, besides calling them my babies (they are 7 and 3 now) I call them my medical devices😻😻😻😻😻😻😻
My bambi used to sleep with me used to put the covers over her and she never disturbed me. She 'd put her head on the other pillow. Miss her so much especially when sad.
Some of the sweetest pictures I have of my son are those of him asleep with his kitty snuggled up next to him . Jeff learned kindness and gentilness from taking care of and loving his kitty .
I sleep with my cat and my dog :) One purrs the other snores, music to my ears :) It comforts me to have my little fur babies in the bed with me. I find it hard to sleep without them :)
My youngest boy kitty is absolutely attached to me. He gets jealous when I pet his siblings, he sleeps near me, he comes to me for attention all the time, he shows me his belly, he's just. Super clingy. I don't know why people say cats don't care, my cats are a testament to kitty affection. XD
People that say they don’t like cats and claim they’re not affectionate have never had a cat before :) I’ve converted many people over to the cat side by having them experience my many kitties over the years. When they’re well taken care of they are love bugs.
I thought my nine year old daughter Jazz - whom I got at three months old - was clingy, until I recently got my son Eameen, who turned one just before I got him, I call him Velcro boy. When I say got, I mean I asked them to move in, now they allow me to stay, with conditions attached 😁
I recently lost one of my cats to kidney failure. He was an amazing companion. He knew when we were upset or poorly and would climb up on us kissing our faces. Every morning began with him coming in and climbing onto my husbands tummy waiting for us to get up. We never knew a cat who gave so much love like him. We miss him so much :'(
Whomever is reading this remember to spread as much LOVE AS POSSIBLE, don't litter, help out the homeless and take care of nature please it's really important we gotta take care of eachother and mother earth. thank you and have a blessed life ❤

My cat I had years ago slept on my hair. I keep it long. And pile it past my pillow above my head. So my furry friend would sleep on my pile of hair. I miss it. He was a sweet cat. We rescued him after a storm.
My cat always knows when I’m sad or upset when I cry she comes up to me and sits next to or on me and just snuggles me :) it always makes me feel better
My cat is my esa. If I'm upset, crying, or angry, she will follow me and come lay down on me and try to get me to pet her while she purrs. She gets as close to me as possible. Shes the most loving cat. She sleeps under the covers and lays her head on the pillow and purrs while sleeping. If I go to pet her, she purrs. Noone can tell me cats aren't capable of purely loving you. Shes proof.
My cat Diggers, a tuxedo, was well socialized from birth as he was born under my bed- and he loved people. He used to convert people who said they didn't like cats.
Nelson Smith...my kitten, Kizzy lays on my chest...but only for a short 20-40 minutes...then she'll move and )ie between my son and me...mostly when she lays with me it' behind my back or by my legs. So adorable. Sometimes she will lie at mŷ shoulder with her head on my shoulder. So cute

My other kitten sometimes comes to me in the morning to awake me up or sleep with me too !!!! Its soooo cute and soooo precious and soooo needed !!!!! I trully madly deeply love them !!! Mine snoozes the whole night but honestly not hearing him to me is a nightmare !!!
Awwwww ... My kitty trusting me means the world to me!!! Not to mention, she keeps me warm... Fortunately, she's happy with my torso--soft belly, lol, or my side🐈
I had a lovely white deaf cat Talcum who lived 20 years. Around 10:30 PM Talc would go to the bedroom and get on my bed. He would call me to bed with an urgent loud cry. At first I'd run in to check on him. I thought sure he was injured or stuck somewhere. It was a cry for help. There he'd be sitting on my bed waiting for me to hop in w him. He'd sleep in my arms every night. I can't tell you how I miss my boy. I've had 4 other cats since Talc. They are all individuals and wonderful. I still miss my boy Talc though. I have one now that sleeps on me and the other near me. Each night I round them up and take them to bed with me. I have a little jingle I say and they know it's time to gather for sleep. I have to be owned by a cat or life isn't quite right.
I used to have a special 'time for bed' song for one of our family kitties many years ago. When it was time for bed, I'd sing it to him and he'd follow me to bed. He wasn't the smartest cat in the world, but he knew his 'theme song'.
I've had 2 cats sleep on my pillow in my life. These 2 were once alive at the same time. So since 1998 until today, I've shared my pillow. When they lay their heads on mine in the middle of the night it's just so precious. Though the kicking and sneezing in my face is rare, I'll gladly give room for a kitty to join me.
My kitty sleeps on my pillow, my hip, my foot while hugging my ankle, or on my clothes if I'm not there yet. Very lonely without him. He loves my spot on the couch too.
My cat meows and meows at me when she wants me to go to bed with her instead of being on the computer late at night . She sits on the bed staring at me and meowing until I give in . (And I can t resist her cuteness so I do give in quite readily )
Haha... Mine loves to get under the covers. She's asks me to lift them up, goes in head first, does a u turn and then cuddles up to me with her face sticking out.
I love when my cat Magic climbs on the bed and comes up to lay on me for a while at night till I get tired from petting her but the purring is so soothing and helps me relax It's like she can tell when I'm really tired she goes and lays at the end of the bed and sleeps
I have no problem. You need a stern voice and don't be afraid to yell at them if they do something you don't approve of. My cat knows not to get on my sheets. Don't need the cat hair in my mouth and face. She also knows not to get on the kitchen table.
I am a cat Mama, and I am also a Druid. Animals are honestly so much more than pets, they are additional loved ones who can be taught just like a human child. Assume they can learn, and they will, even if you can't understand their speech.
I love love love love to take naps with my cat. we have days they want to just snuggle and sleep and for some reason, I get too comfortable and we passed out cuddling for hours until its their time to eat haha
I have several plush blankets, my cat treats them like they are her mother ☺️ she kneads and purrs, it feels like mom… they are always beside me, so nice and warm…
My kitty kneads my stomach before curling up around my feet like some sort of "putting me to bed" ritual and I love it. I also love waking up and she's still curled between my feet
I used to kick my boyfriend out of the bed since my cat didn’t like him being in it with us. He told me I had to choose between him and her. I’m happily single now.
After 26 happy years our cat suddenly died, bless her heart. After a few months I just had to have another cat. My wife of 49 years told me point blank that, "You can have another cat if you want, but not me too". She would never give me a reasonable answer to why, so I don't know what to do.

@@sammather1786 that's so sweet! Cats truly are amazing little beings☺ I'm so happy that your cat has brought you so much comfort and joy!
Mitzy singer is a professor of music
I love her unique abilities to verbalize the many sounds within her purring parameters
The purrfect companion!
The same here, he understands all my feelings 💝😻💝

Sleeping on my belly right now 😴💤😻💜
Mine, haha!
Mine 😂🥰
😀😀😀🖐
Mine!😂
A cat stayed with me for a month and even though I had a little bed for him, he'd always curl up next to me while I slept. He also liked to sleep in a box.
What is it with cats and boxes? 🤔🤷♂️
I love sleeping with my kitten she is so lovely.
Me too 👏😊😻💜🐱
I usually wake up to find mine curled up next to me or hugging my leg
My cat only sleeps with me when he feels like it. He’s the cat that walks by himself, and monarch of all he surveys. ❤️
My cat sleep with me every night ,I got my cat from the road when he was only a kitten now my cat is 8 year old.
The same 😻💜 but my cat is 15 years old
My cat is 8 as well!! Hopefully I'll get at least 5-6 more years with her.
Kind humans
My cat is 11. My mom brought him to me in a shoebox! He was found in a ditch when he was 2 weeks old.
My bambi used to sleep with me used to put the covers over her and she never disturbed me. She 'd put her head on the other pillow. Miss her so much especially when sad.
Its painful losing an animal. I know personally. 😔
@@miriamdavis1164 lost a few furbabies over the years. Each one with its own personality.
Why can't they live forever?
@@toad4ever103 sadly we as humans were designed to live forever but look at the mess we've got ourselves into.
Linda there is another little furry angel out there that needs your love ❤️ & you need to give your love to feel happier too.
We keep eachother warm!!! Can't do without my four legged children!!!
Me too😻😻😻
Whenever I sleep with my cat, I wake up well rested and in a peaceful mood
When I’m not at home, I have a difficult time sleeping because I miss having my cats in bed with me. 😢
Same xD
I have a cat named bob
Same 5
Sry for u
Same my reaction is move move move MOVE SNOWY move! Thats it im going to another room
XD
Ahh that’s cute, I got a kitten and I’m new to o!!! Is it ok to sleep with them
People that say they don’t like cats and claim they’re not affectionate have never had a cat before :) I’ve converted many people over to the cat side by having them experience my many kitties over the years.
You know they think they are doing you a favor. Such a privilege to know you are “chosen” by them.
You are right .
Our furbabies love us . Some people say they can't talk either but my furbabies talk
We miss him so much :'(
Awwwww

My friends cat use to massage her heart when she was sleeping at night. Turned out she had a bad heart valve. This cat knew this! She had heart surgery and lived another 5 years. She didn't get another valve after the temp one wore out. ( I never realized why) she didn't tell me her life was ticking away!😪❤❤❤💙💙💙

There is no such thing as a perfect cat. Apart from when their asleep
My Cat has slept with me every night for 8 years and have never had a problem. Her purring while having a cuddle is so relaxing
I like sleeping with my cats it’s just sooo cute 🥰!
I had a cat who used my head as a pillow. He would wrap himself around my head like a little furry halo.
My cat I had years ago slept on my hair. I keep it long. And pile it past my pillow above my head. So my furry friend would sleep on my pile of hair. I miss it. He was a sweet cat. We rescued him after a storm.
I had a dog that did that
@@NotSoNormal1987 He is probably waiting for you in the Great Beyond, becuz you loved him. . .
Mine sleeps on my neck.....i dnt own that part anymore😂😂
My kitten does this every night 🥺
My cat always knows when I’m sad or upset when I cry she comes up to me and sits next to or on me and just snuggles me :) it always makes me feel better
My cat is my esa. If I'm upset, crying, or angry, she will follow me and come lay down on me and try to get me to pet her while she purrs. She gets as close to me as possible. Shes the most loving cat. She sleeps under the covers and lays her head on the pillow and purrs while sleeping. If I go to pet her, she purrs. Noone can tell me cats aren't capable of purely loving you. Shes proof.
My cat is the same way
My cat is my comfort cat. I am disabled and unable to walk. He cuddles up with me and it comforts me so much. I love all cats!!!❤❤❤❤❤
I rased my cat since he was born because his mom couldn't take care of him. He loves to cuddle and won't stop meowing until he gets the attention.
Because you are now his mom!
My cat Diggers, a tuxedo, was well socialized from birth as he was born under my bed- and he loved people. He used to convert people who said they didn't like cats.
Yea when my cats mother went missing I had to be mother and father. It was hard and I'm sure she would be proud
My cat doesn't just want to sleep with me, she wants to sleep on me, which means I have to find a comfortable position and stay in it all night.
LOL Same here :-)
Yep! I did find a fluffy sherpa blanket she likes so SOMETIMES i can pick her up in the blanket and move her without too much disruption
So cute
Same… until she wants out of the room at 5 in the morning
Same, l wake up in uncomfortably positions throughout the night then realising my cat has left the bed early hours of the morning then l say to Monty lm glad you slept well 💙🐈💙
My cat doesnt lose a lot of hair and she keeps herself very clean. She also does the doodoo outside so no stink. She even meows at me for milk of attention. Yes I only givr her a tiny few licks of milk. She's just amazing.
I'd love to know how my cat can seemingly increase his weight when I try to remove him from the bed
That is exactly what I want to know, to. I try to pick him up and he just doesn't move. Like he is glued to the ground. So weird.
Dunno know about yours, but mine digs his claws into the mattress and hands on for dear life, lol.
That’s so true it’s hysterical! They do!!
Yes!! My cat would do that when I wanted to lock the balcony door before bed....😂
‘Boulder weighing many tonnes'. Cats are very Zen.
I can't stop thinking about my cats when I'm away. They help me sleep and relieve my anxiety. Sleeping elsewhere makes me nervous
Love my Cat Belle sleeping on my bed ,especially when i was recovering and on treatment ,everyone else were gone to work .She really was my best bud and still is.
I view my cat as a hot water bottle. I love it when she sleeps close by. 🐕👍
I just love that chirping purr. My sweet cuddle buddy!😻
My kitty named Cakey sleeps with me every night. She is a black & white shirt hair cat. I found her abandoned by her mother in my backyard 7 years ago. Bottle-fed her & gave her love! She is my sweetheart...💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

Ever since i got a cat and let them sleep on my bed, i never had any nightmares. Theyre very reliable as energy guardians
My cat is really chill we rescued her and she fallows me around like a dog. My cat sleeps with me every night and I sleep really well

Cats have personal assistants.

I agree
Awwwww ... My kitty trusting me means the world to me!!! Not to mention, she keeps me warm... Fortunately, she's happy with my torso--soft belly, lol, or my side🐈
Whenever I am away from my cat I miss him so much.
Can't relax without them. Definitely hard to sleep with out them. They make life lovely.
My cat can do anything he wants! After 18 years he is family and one of my children!!! I love you Cheeto !!!!!!!
I cuddled with cats most of my life and I never had any issues, so yes is safe
I get the most deepest love feeling when my cat lies on me.
I myself sleep 15-16 hours a day (I'm unemployed) and my two cats ALWAYS accompany me on it. It's so cute
m watching this with my cat who is sleeping happily in my bed
Love feeling my cat sleeping close to my legs. Its very comfy and helps me fall to sleep.
My cat meows and meows at me when she wants me to go to bed with her instead of being on the computer late at night . She sits on the bed staring at me and meowing until I give in . (And I can t resist her cuteness so I do give in quite readily )
Haha... Mine loves to get under the covers. She's asks me to lift them up, goes in head first, does a u turn and then cuddles up to me with her face sticking out.
same as my cat Sylvester wow so cool yours does that also love the cuddles and purrs at nights and mornings
Nothing gives me a greater feeling than falling asleep next to my cat.
💗💗💗💗💗 pure peace!!
Cats do what they want. It’s that simple. Love it.
I love when my cat Magic climbs on the bed and comes up to lay on me for a while at night till I get tired from petting her but the purring is so soothing and helps me relax
It's like she can tell when I'm really tired she goes and lays at the end of the bed and sleeps
"Tell your cat you don't approve of their behavior!"
Yeah that'll go over well.
You can "tell" all you want, but she won't listen. 😒🐱
Does for me
My cat does the telling... lol.
Like they give a....
I have no problem. You need a stern voice and don't be afraid to yell at them if they do something you don't approve of. My cat knows not to get on my sheets. Don't need the cat hair in my mouth and face. She also knows not to get on the kitchen table.
My tuxedo cat actually sleeps "on" me. I sleep on my side and he sleeps right on me! And I truly love My boy!
My cats are my bffs they make me feel better when I'm mad sad or just having a rough day
Love my cats. They're amazing animals and dont tend to get the credit.
I Love ❤having Wigley in my bed. He purrs sooo loudly. Wigley also has my sleep schedule. Sleeps almost all night with me.
I am a cat Mama, and I am also a Druid. Animals are honestly so much more than pets, they are additional loved ones who can be taught just like a human child. Assume they can learn, and they will, even if you can't understand their speech.
Most definitlely. Its exactly how i raised my kitties. They show me what they want when im not sure, just as a toddler would.
I don't have a cat and keep watching all cat related videos, everyday.
Get one. There's nothing like it.

After 26 happy years our cat suddenly died, bless her heart. After a few months I just had to have another cat. My wife of 49 years told me point blank that, "You can have another cat if you want, but not me too". She would never give me a reasonable answer to why, so I don't know what to do.
I have never had an infection and my cat doesn't approve of this narrator.
