My cat was about to give birth, and she came and grabbed my hand gently with her teeth and made me follow her to the "nest" we'd made together. I sat with her for about 5 hours as she had her babies 😸
@Doub Clashes The preposition of that particular clause was "the nest", and the gerund phrase ("we'd made") followed immediately after. I'm not sure how you could have so completely misconstrued my meaning, but I'm pretty sure whatever lead to this is why humanity can't have nice things. 😸

I had an odd cat that actually showed guilt. If we were playing and he accidentally scratched me he would run and hide for about 20 minutes. Then he'd come and show an abundance of love to apologize.
I could always tell which cat pissed on the sofa because it’s always the one that’s right up my butt while I’m cleaning the guilty party will always be right around you trying to help
I got in my car one night to leave for work, pulled out of the driveway and didn’t make it 100 feet around the first corner and stopped to pick up 2 baby kittens on the road. Both white and orange, almost identical twins, and immediately turned around and took them home to my wife and left for work. Come home the next morning and they both laid with me for hours. Now over a year later, they’re the first 2 to greet me when I get home, they lay in my lap or on my chest for a good while, they love bite me, slowly blink at me, all kinds of things. They’re my boys. My kids. I love Jekyll and Hyde more than I thought I ever would. I’d do anything for them.
That’s funny. I was at work one night and there was this kitten meowing and once she saw my she ran up to me and would not leave my alone I tried getting her to stay there but she just kept running back to me and would lay in my lap even when driving. I tried keeping her but my current cat didn’t like her but I found her a good home. A few years ago me and my girlfriend had an apartment together and this one kitten we found would run up to us as soon as we got home, our cat would clean her like it was her own kitten it was so cute but then one day she was just gone…have no idea what happened to her but I hope she’s okay
I'm literally always awwing over anything my cats does. Like literally, my cat could just walks and I would be like : "Look she's walking ! Isn't she adorable ? My baby my sweetie my everything-" Yeah. This video just warms my heart so much.
SO happy I'm not alone lmfaoooo. I've had my cats for years and, I'm telling you, ANYTHING they do makes me wanna cry😆. They sit down - I cry They play together- I cry When they roll on their back- I really cry Their taking a shit or peeing- I cry 😆😁🤣

My pregnant cat woke me up and meowed for me to follow her into my closet. She had adopted part of it as her nest and let me know she wanted me there while she gave birth. It was such an honor!
@One of eight billion I'm not being a gatekeeper though? I'm just saying you don't know this person's situation and why her cat was pregnant or HOW she got pregnant. Spaying and neutering pets costs a lot and when you're in a tight place for a small bit financially, but that doesn't mean you're incapable of caring for a pet.
@@fenriswolfo a pregnant cat can easily have 5-7 kittens in one litter, and as someone who fosters it can be quite expensive to care for that many cats for 8-10 weeks or longer. Spay/neuter is much cheaper and the only responsible option.
@@bellona6356 oh I'm not against fixing your pets. I'm just saying at the time of the cat becoming pregnant, affording a spay probably wasn't financially possible. I'm waiting until spring so I can get my girl spayed, so trust me I know how important fixing your babies is ^^
Our young family cat when I was a child vomited up worms, under the dining table which was horrible to see..Poor cat! He was wormed regularly after that. He caught rats and mice, a farm cat.

My cat actually tried to pull me once with her teeth to where she wanted me. She was pregnant and we were expecting her to go into labour and so she did... in the middle of the night. I was woken up to her nibbling and pulling on my cheek of all things, she had never done that before. As soon as I sobered up I was able to realise she actually wanted me to go to where she chose to give birth. And there I was, half awake, helping her with what ever I thought I could. Since it took a while, there were times I had to get up and leave for a moment. That was not tolerated. She would spring out, run behind me, grab me by anything she could reach and pulled me back until she was sure *we're* done.
@Wise Man I get it more like he was feeling sleepy due to the interrupted sleep. Most of the time you're not quick and alert during night time, so it takes some time to get used to the sudden awakening
@@nardalis4832 that’s how I eventually interpreted it too. First when I read that part though (needing to “sober up”), I thought the same thing .. like wtf😠. But then I read on and it seemed he/she was more referring to “sobering up” as in fully waking from a very sound sleep in the middle of the night .. ?
@Wise Man Just fyi, to "sober up" is more of an expression, it doesn't necessarily mean someone was drunk. In this case, it meant they were woken up from probably a deep sleep and didn't know what was going on, so "sobering up" just means becoming more awake and more aware.
Sleeping is also a cat's bonding time. If they sleep near you or on you, they are bonding. It's why you see cats snuggle with dogs and other creatures they share their homes with. I learned a lot from the show "my cat from hell".
That guy is awesome watched alot of episodes, showed myself how really ignorant I was and probably others might be to a cats complex psych and behavior behind these misunderstood majestic creatures.
5 years back I was living with my parents while I got some issues under control, and one day while they were getting ready to walk their dogs I decided, spur of the moment, to go with them. Keep in mind that one of said issues is moderate agoraphobia, so this should give you some idea of the infrequency of my attendance. Anyhoo, we had to go to a local pet sore to purchase more dog food, and once we got there I went inside to get out of the heat for a little bit. First thing I see is a cage with a small black cat, and for some reason he was sleeping in his litter. I went over to check it out and a sign said that he's 4-years-old and blind. He'd been available for awhile, but on account of him being a black cat, not a kitten, and blind, no one was interested. I asked if I could see him, and one of the workers got him out of his cage and handed him to me (the litter had just been replaced, I learned), Immediately he starts snuggling into my shoulder and neck, and I knew right then that I had to get him. A few days later I went back to pick him up, and he's been my shadow ever since. I named him Murdock on account of him having absolutely no fear and, well, navigating extremely well considering his disability. He's asleep on my lap right now, and he is in no small way responsible for my vastly improved mental health. I don't believe in fate, but it truly does seem like we were meant to meet. I love the little guy.
My cat loves me for sure she lies on her back and wriggles like a puppy when she sees me. I rescued her 5 year ago from 9+ months in a cage in a large Pet Store.. the rescue group placed her there.i was across the large store and she started screaming and screaming and she stopped when I came over. The teenagers there were looking at kittens. I had lost a male black kitty 3.5 years earlier at 17. I was still waiting bit she picked me so I went back to the per Fair the next day and applied for her and of course got her. I am not young and very stable with a home. I ADORE her she is the sweetest cat I ever have known and I have known many. She slept oy head the first week, very uncomfortable. Now she sleeps pressed against my side. Her only bad habit is putting tons of teeth holes in certain kinds of plastic like shower curtain liners. She doesn't even knock things down or off tables, shelves and counters and She picked me. I hadn't wanted another black cat she is a Tuxedo but she is fantastic.
We have about 4 cats in the house and I noticed that one of them is particularly attached to me. He comes to me whenever I am busy doing something and stays there as if to keep me company. Sometimes, I am pleasantly surprised to see that he goes even to places that I wouldn't expect him to be, like when I was repairing our ceiling or roof. Really amazes me!
My cat runs to play and “chase/hunt” me! She will jump up and run around a corner, then waits for me to “sneak up on her” she then jump scares me and I run. She’ll chase me and we run circles around the house. She’ll chase me, then I chase her. Inevitably she will jump in the bath tub to hide and I’ll pretend not to see her so she can jump out and catch me as soon as I turn my back. It’s the best play time ever.
My cat would not leave my side when I started to go into labor with my daughter. She stayed by me a lot during the pregnancy, but the night I went into labor, she would not leave me alone. She did this even before I started having contractions. She knew. She's a sweet kitty too. Very gentle with my kids and she let's me rub her tummy. ❤
So sweet. My girl cat who isn't really a snuggled would sleep across my belly. She didn't do it before and hasn't slept on my lap after. I don't know how people don't like cats.
My cat doesn't like many ppl. When the girls from across the way visited, she was very loving to one of them and not so much the other. In fact even more than she is to me. It turns out the girl in question survived cancer. Maybe that what made her so loving to my friend. 🤷♂️
@@jambodave72 there's some strong indication that cats are capable of "smelling death" on people. I know that sounds morbid but studies have shown some compelling proof of this. And a cancer survivor would definitely qualify.
My cat likes to sniff whatever I’m eating as if to “inspect it”, she never wants to eat it. It’s honestly hilarious, she will stick her paw out to me and touch my arm like “let me check”.
Aw that's adorable🥰 My Coca will do the exact same thing and you look away for 2.5 seconds, bring your eyes back and BAM! half your dinner is gone and under the bed🙄
Awww! So cuuute!! My cats climb all over me and my tea to steal my food 😣 They’ve always been chubby & eat too much if anything so they shouldn’t be that hungry !! Just greedy 🤦🏻♀️ THEY EVEN TRY TO EAT FOOD THAT HAVE INGREDIENTS IN IT THAT ARE POISONOUS TO CATS! 🥴
About cat's vomiting, another reason you missed is they will throw up if they eat too fast. I have a Cat that lost his mother very young and was not weaned properly. He threw up daily and had test run on him and his diet changed numerous times until the Vet witnessed that he basically just inhaled his food. We got him a special dish that forces him to slow down eating and he is much better.
My kitty is going through that right now. Poor baby keeps vomiting and I'm assuming it's because he inhales his food like he hasn't eaten in a year. I'm glad to know those special dishes work, I think I'm gonna get him one so he'll stop making himself sick. He's a rescue so I don't know about his early years, he either lost his mother or he's just a hungry little idiot 🤧

One of my cats loves belly rubs, the other not so much and is temperamental about it. It's amazing how they do have a way of telling you exactly what they want from you.
Cats are amazing. I once went to a friend's house. His cat immediately jumped into my lap. My friend was amazed, said he never had done that before. I'd go to the house and where ever I was this cat wanted to be. The way that cat would look at me. I could feel the love it touched my heart in away I've never had any human do.
Hi Reos, I can relate, it's true what you say, cats touch an inner side of us that humans can never reach. I think they show the ultimate compassion and that's what we pick up on :)
cats are similar to snakes in regards to dislike. if you anger them they can scratch you and inject you with a type of poison. they were a lizard type animal in the past when the world was different.
I have two outdoor barn cats, siblings from the same litter, and let me tell you, those little furballs had me from day one. I never knew before getting them how much I needed cats in my life. When they're not hunting rodents, they like to follow me around outside, insist on lots of attention and play, snacks, and long naps on my lap (they probably see it as payment for their hunting services lol). They like to chill on my shoulder and will come when I call. If they catch something, they'll bring it back as if for my approval. They have yet to scratch or bite me. They're my two best friends who really, truly love me. I honestly don't know what I'd do without them.
@Joe Blogs wow, that sounds so amazing ! Would you mind telling me a bit more about those "incredible stories" that you mentioned ? I am really excited and looking forward to it. Please narrate, not all but at least a single. Would you ?
I remember my gramdma and papa had a cat named Georgie. He never liked people much and almost always preferred to be alone. He hated his belly being rubbed, his chin being scratched and only liked you for a few mintues when he got food out of you. But, right before he died, he suddenly had a change in behavior. He wanted to be with me, he didn't mind it when I petted him and he actually slept on my lap for almost an hour. We just kinda hung outside together. I miss him.
Same then I'll talk to him until my mom sees it babbles to me on why and how to communicate with pets and flowers... Sadly me and flowers don't like each other.

I do not like it when people say that they hate cats. They just don't understand them, and most of the time they refuse to understand cats. Actually this does happen and I have experience, we call them "love bites" which can come from there bigger ancestry like tigers and lions, who also sometimes bite to show affection. You can tell by how hard they bite and if they try to grip onto the limb.

When I was a small boy. I had a one eye street cat who my grandparents had follow and adopted after watching him use a cross walk in a small town located in Lowa, he waited for the red and walked across like any other people. His name was Pepe and he loss his eye to a feline cancer which I forget its name but moving on. So I'm currently 21 years old, back in 2000 when I was born my parents were going through some tuff times and had to live in my grandparents basement until had the money to buy a bigger house for me and my then two year old brother, Pepe " Big Cheese" Strain is a cat who held unconditional love for all around him ontop of being a fat kitty he had taken beneath his paws three abandoned barn kittens all females, by the names of Boo... Trooper... and Pudge all black cats who mother had left when when they're 4 weeks old. Pepe had become something like a father too these three kitten, and took care of them like if they're his own. Trooper being the closest with him when I was born upon the first day home from the hospital Pepe had never left my. He would sleep with me in my crib, or lay next to my jumper but most of all back when I was growing up I was a very timid sickly boy who was terrified by the world around him; but Pepe help teach me a important life lesson Dare to be Adventurous. Ever I was scared of the monster under the bed Pepe would always check it for me, when I came come crying my eyes out because my bullies at school when too far around agin he was there to comfort me. When I feel like I couldn't go on any longer that my kidney illness was too much I remember my little kitty with the single eye who keep on trucking through all of life's hardships and never back down from the challenge, because always at the end if the day pepe held the same Adventurous spirit no matter how bad things got even until the end of his life when loss the battle against his own cancer he always love those around him and inspired me to never give no matter how much it hurts now because that pain is only temporary and there always a silver lining. I know for a fact I wouldn't be the man I'm today without him, and I'm thankful for moments I had with him. I say this to anyone who feels like you can't go on any longer, it's okay... I know it's mean seem bad but remember that your not alone, because you were never alone there is someone who will always to have your back. If my little eye cat could beat the odds so can you too, just don't be afraid to ask for help along the way.

I've never had a pet before this cat and I've had her for roughly 4.5 Years and reading this stuff with her sound asleep on top of me rn has my 28 year old ass welling up. This sweet beautiful furball is NOT gonna die🥺not ever.
My cat hates doors to be closed. It triggers his separation anxiety. That's what he told me, when I found him. He was looking for his family who moved away and left him behind. I leave him fresh kibble and treats and tell him "I'll be back" everytime I leave. He's calm and comfy in a chair when I return home.
Like who does that?!? Picks up and moves, leaving their pet behind? We had the same thing happen on our street. The cat left behind was the most beautiful cat I had ever seen. We fed him daily and were able to pet him after awhile. However….that didn’t last long! There is a family of feral cats in our backyard….started off with just 1(who I named Jynx) who had babies, then Jynx and one of her girls(Jetta) had babies, long story short, we ended up with 14 feral cats. Shortly after the last litter in 2014, we had Heaven Can Wait bring out cages, we captured all 14 cats between 9am-10pm, all cats were picked up(throughout the day), taken in, spayed or neutered and 3 or 4 days later were dropped back off in our backyard. The male cat who was left behind by his family was not fixed and was constantly getting into fights with the fixed cats who obviously looked at him as an intruder into their space. I’m sure it was my yelling when the fights would break out that scared this beautiful boy to the point he would run anytime I brought food out for him. Haven’t seen him in 8mos or so, I’m hoping one of our neighbors took him in or he’s just avoiding my backyard. I know other families were feeding him also.
My kitty is the same way. If I so much as close a door, he claw the door and throws his entire body against it until it opens. He's definitely my little shadow.
(edit) So i'm sick of people coming to me saying "ho but your cat is not happy" "ho but your your cat is annoyed" just stop ok! i know my cat and i know she is not annoyed. In fact since i don't know what it's called, here is a video of what she does with her tail when she come and ask to be pet : th-cam.com/video/ovDBrgkVWpo/w-d-xo.html . Maybe people will stop talking like i don't know my cats, or like i'm a stupid kid. Thanks and sorry to be this annoyed, i'm not a native english speaker so there is words i don't know!! (end of edit) One of my cat don't purr at all, but i know for a fact that she love me. She make her tail wiggle when i pet her or when she see me, she show me her belly she bonk my hand and rub her head against me. In a matter of fact if my cat purr it's mostly the sign that she is not feeling well. Purring can mean "i love you, i'm happy" but also "i'm not feeling good help me." Knowing your cat help to discern between the two.
When I was a kid my cat had kittens. She demanded we sit with her and rub her belly during contractions or she would bite us 😂 It was an amazing experience
My cat needed me to hold her paw and rub her belly each time she gave birth. She insisted I stay with her every time. Time to give birth? She would find me and tell me, then lead me to the birthing box we had prepared earlier. Then, she would grab my hand with each contraction and squeeze tight. She really loved me and thought I was her mum.

Every other person: *gets bitten by their own cat when they're rubbing their tummies* Me: *hears the purring getting louder and louder everytime I rub my little speedy demonic cat's tummy*
Cats have mood swings. My brother’s and sister-in-law’s little hunter demanded that I rubbed her tummy once. I was leery knowing that kitties usually don’t want that, but she made it clear that I was to do as she commanded (and more importantly, she did not try to eat me afterwards). lol
You know I grew up with a dog family. My entire family either hated cats or my mom who was severely allergic to them, so I just grew up thinking I didn't like them. My cat rescued himself! He strangely appeared on my front porch on a rainy and kind of cold late one evening about 9 years ago. He was underweight, wet and shivering. What a pitiful sight to behold! Knowing that my husband was skeptical of cats it wasn't without trepidation that I suggested we could "foster" this young cat...until.... Well, I guess you can deduct what I'm trying to say... I, myself was not a cat fancier but, well... I can't imagine my life without him. He came into my life at a point of desperation and loss. My one and only son had recently suddenly died. Not only did he save his own life but in many ways mine, too. Some time later I found out through a neighbor that he was an identical twin, of which he was the runt of the liter. So much so, that his liter-mates, his mom and specially his twin brother were trying to kill him by excessive fighting and starving him out. Even his mother rejected him trying to nurse. No wonder he was so skinny, poor thing. Now he's happy as can be having a human mommy and yes, a human daddy, too. This little soul is so good that about a year and a half after he saved himself and was healthy, he went over to where he was born ( trying to make things right, I guess) and he found himself. In a fight for his life. (He goes out twice a day to our yard,, relieves himself and then he's back at the door scratching to be back inside. I guess he saw our dog doing this and mimicked the behavior with positive came results. He's so smart. ) He came back 2 days later bitten and scratched all over and specially one eye and ear. The vet put him on antibiotics and something for the pain. His right ear still bears a gap of tissue where a hunk of flesh was just ripped right off. HE HAS NEVER EVER GONE BACK AGAIN. Guess family is what YOU make it out to be. 🤩😍❤❤😻😻😸😸🐈😻😺😸😸🐈

You're right about anxiety from past trauma. My vet confirmed that this is the problem with my cat. She was a former feral cat who obviously suffered abuse. When I adopted her at age 4, she had a very irrational fear of things that shouldn't have bothered her. If I picked up a broom, she would immediately run and hide. Same thing if I picked up a yard stick. But when I picked up my belt it didn't phase her. My vet says she had probably been chased or beaten with objects like brooms or yard sticks. I've had her for over 5 years and she's getting better. She has seen that I am not a threat to her and that I will never hit her with anything.
My cat struggles with PTSD from when I lived with my abusive dad. It breaks my heart, animals don’t deserve stuff like this, he doesn’t even understand that he isn’t mentally well :(((
Yes, my cat developed a strong separation anxiety from being moved from one family to another his entire life. He did nothing alone, not even poop. The most stressful situation we put him in by not knowing was taking him on a car ride and leave him with my then bf’s parents. The poor thing was terrified of cars because, I assume, he associated them with being abandoned yet again. He was fine with the parents but the car ride was something we didn’t repeat ever again.
My cat was about to give birth, and she came and grabbed my hand gently with her teeth and made me follow her to the "nest" we'd made together. I sat with her for about 5 hours as she had her babies 😸
@Doub Clashes "nest", the nest that they made together
@Doub Clashes The preposition of that particular clause was "the nest", and the gerund phrase ("we'd made") followed immediately after.
I'm not sure how you could have so completely misconstrued my meaning, but I'm pretty sure whatever lead to this is why humanity can't have nice things. 😸

Omg same happened to me. Sadly all of her babies were still borns.
@Wise Man I get it more like he was feeling sleepy due to the interrupted sleep. Most of the time you're not quick and alert during night time, so it takes some time to get used to the sudden awakening

@@nardalis4832 that’s how I eventually interpreted it too. First when I read that part though (needing to “sober up”), I thought the same thing .. like wtf😠. @Wise Man Just fyi, to "sober up" is more of an expression, it doesn't necessarily mean someone was drunk. In this case, it meant they were woken up from probably a deep sleep and didn't know what was going on, so "sobering up" just means becoming more awake and more aware.

Great advice 👍 My cat is sleeping in front of me now. Is that Galaxy Pheonix aka my cat from hell? He has some refresher stuff on u tube.
Cats are so smart and can be so sweet. Don't know what I would do without her company. She is such fun!!!!
That’s beautiful. Kismet.

It’s the best play time ever.
my beloved Mei-Sha do the same to me :D i really love my cat because she shows the true love.

Yas, he'll chase me around the house, and cause he's kinda small, I can't see him and then jumps on my leg to nibble it lightly.
Why my cats don't do the same
My cat would not leave my side when I started to go into labor with my daughter. She stayed by me a lot during the pregnancy, but the night I went into labor, she would not leave me alone. She did this even before I started having contractions. She knew. She's a sweet kitty too. Very gentle with my kids and she let's me rub her tummy. ❤

We had a cat pee on my hubby shortly before my water broke...I still think it's funny he doesn't for sum reason
My cat doesn't like many ppl. When the girls from across the way visited, she was very loving to one of them and not so much the other. In fact even more than she is to me. It turns out the girl in question survived cancer. Maybe that what made her so loving to my friend. 🤷♂️

It is a sign of love. It takes immense trust for them to do that. If they stay with you all night, they 100% want to be with you.

Totally agree haha
I've been doing lots of pet sitting lately and its been a great way to get more familiar with dogs, whom I love but have never had as a pet, but when the dog owners also have cats, my heart overflows with sweetness. Dogs are lovely, but cats just bring me joy in a whole different way.

“Cats also bite to show AFFECTION but only a “NIBBLE””
Me: looks at my cat *ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT-*
If a cat bites at the same place there may be a skin condition. It may notice it smells different than the surrounding area.
I eat rice OMG U EAT RICE?
Actually this does happen and I have experience, we call them "love bites" which can come from there bigger ancestry like tigers and lions, who also sometimes bite to show affection. You can tell by how hard they bite and if they try to grip onto the limb.
My cat likes to chomp on my hands but I still love her ❤
@Ann Moore those are love bites, it's a way they show affection like how tigers/lions nibble there mates. Unless your cat has teeth issues
"cats associate food with loving them" it's me, I am cats.

I love your post, reminds me of my ginger cat , Trump who has only one good eye. He doesn’t let anything stop him and he has inspired me when I am having a bad day with my MS.
Aw

My cat rescued himself! He strangely appeared on my front porch on a rainy and kind of cold late one evening about 9 years ago. He was underweight, wet and shivering. What a pitiful sight to behold! Knowing that my husband was skeptical of cats it wasn't without trepidation that
I suggested we could "foster" this young cat...until....
Guess family is what YOU
make it out to be. 🤩😍❤❤😻😻😸😸🐈😻😺😸😸🐈

Especially my younger Tomcat normally doesnt like to be touched at his belly at all, this gos even as far that to take him up I grip below his rar legs.
But at night, when hes tired, he snuggles up to me, belly up, and once I start scratching, he starts purring until he falls asleep, with my hand on his tummy. ^^

one of my cats struggles with anxiety as a result of past trauma and sometimes when i tell people that they laugh :’( but truly, we as humans are no more than animals ourselves so who’s to say animals like cats and dogs can’t experience psychological difficulties?
also don’t be afraid to bring up these concerns to your vet, my cat has been doing so much better now that we have given her places to be alone and cbd oil!
