As someone who does HEMA in real life I can confirm that the person who recorded this video did in fact swing his sword correct it is important to keep your sword moving when using scimitar and moving up to down is the recommended way to do this.
I had fun in ironlights with the one class that has a rapier. Everyone likes to slash but in fencing it's mostly just stabbing lol look for the spot where their weapon isn't and just stab. It's so simple.

I.e. in another non VR game I go to block after getting off the ground and it didn't, so I'd do my usually get angy but then after testing it a few more times I figure out if I hit or hold block before getting up, I don't block when I get up, and then I point out I figured it out)

My favourite part is how he gets upset while only waving his swords around and mindlessly moving forward against someone playing defensively. Spacing is a thing, you could stop moving forward, you have two swords and your opponent is mainly thrusting so you could space the thrust and hit his sword with both of your swords at once.
