Hi guys, just a quick note. It looks like there are two extra cards in the deck. I'd forgotten that I had cut Iron-Fisted Onslaught, but included it during my rush to get this one out.
Yo this was so well edited, such a high quality video!! Would love to even see how you play the deck against said matchups and how you feel it fares, definitely a cool off meta pick I'll have to fuck around with for sure
Hey thank you! Took a lot of time, but I think it was worth it. As for gameplay, man, I really hope Bandai is announcing a proper simulator soon, because paper gameplay never actually plays that well. Plus, it'd just be way easier to edit into these kinda videos lol.
I feel that dude, there's a few channels who do the paper games really well but it's definitely not even close compared to Master Duel or Hearthstone for making content with which is unfortunate 😢 Hopefully in the future!!!
If they release a sim and it’s not crazy expensive to get cards, I will literally start uploading gameplay the next day. Like, I am that certain that it would make a big difference. And once my channel gets big enough, I can invest in a way to make paper play engaging too 😏
Another banger of a video. I always appreciate spicy decks that no one sees. I do find it sad that we need to use engines to make things viable (if it isn't already in an established archetype) but I understand that meta decks are just too fast and consistent for that. Still, awesome video and I look forward to more videos from you!
It was frustrating in a sense to see that even with the excellent cards Black got in BT13 and BT14, they just don't compare to archetypes that Bandai hand crafts to be top tier. Promo Knightmon was at least a nice find, although he's not technically a generic card. Frustrations aside, I'm just happy we can still smoosh some stuff together and at least give off-meta cards a chance to shine.
Damn, I really like your videos and I've been subscribed for ages, but for some reason YT just straight up has not been showing them to me... Glad I found you again myself, I thought you'd just stopped posting videos.
The algorithm works in mysterious ways, I guess. I think turning on the notification bell helps, but who knows honestly? I’ll just keeping cranking them out anyway 🤣
Given what you say at the end about using engines to support off-meta archetypes, I want to put a good word in for the Alter-S engine (i.e. the lvl 3-5s). While Alter-S was not super great, I feel a lot of what hampered it was requiring 9 specific cards to be drawn in a specific order, with frankly some really crap searching effs. However, if you cut out 3 cards from that mess, it becomes much more reasonable to pull off and leaves you with 2 stacks of rebooting, blocking lvl 5s that can go into any black lvl6 of your choice. It's not as protected as dbrigade, but it has its own useful functions for black decks that should not be ignored or forgotten.
This guy already in here giving me ideas for my next video! Alter S is a very interesting case. I think for Black decks, especially Ragna, there's definitely some untapped potential there. I'll sketch some stuff out and see if there's any potential to do some toolboxing of the Level 6s.
@kevinski-tcg haha at the end of the day I like card games for their creative potential, not the competitiveness. I personally have a Baihumon deck that uses that Alter-S engine and have found it fun, if frustrating. Never tried Raidenmon though. Might be workable with a couple of Alter-B's on the top end. Idk. Can't wait to see what you come up with!
As someone who plays Alter-S the most regularly powerful card in the deck is Alter-S. It's the lvl 6s that aren't pulling their own weight besides being a stepping stone to Alter-S and Alter-B being a win-more card more often than not.
I was thinking about this the other day while I was looking at what I'd cover for my next video. It's actually frustrating how mediocre the BlitzGreymon and CresGarurumon are. A wide de-digivolve one and a bounce of up to 6 cost are so weak for Level 6 effects. I get that Alter-S has double removal on digivolution, but to make the deck less fragile, the Level 6s should be able to stand on their own more. For me, you need to clear the average Level 5 if you are a Level 6 with deletion, you know? Take out a 7-cost or 7000-8000 DP, you know?
To beat the meta you had to use the meta. Just the slightly less meta. But yeah D-Brigade engine works with any sort of swarmy black deck due to the inheritable protection.
Yeah, sadly it came down to “if you can’t beat them, join them on a limited membership” kinda deal. Just glad D-Brigade is so flexible and able to hard carry black like that.
great video man... one day still hoping black deck got they own meta deck... mostly i see meta deck for black just 1-2 pieces dbridgage and... i guess thats it... still im gonna give a try your tool box~
I really want to see the generic black toolbox do a lot better. They just need to give it a bit more removal on the low end and maybe allow for a little tamer spam since a lot of black decks want their tamers out. That would probably do it.
Actually yes, Vademon was in my earlier list, but I found he wasn’t live as often as I needed him to be. If I was running DCD Bombs, or put in a few Brigadramon’s, I think he’d be much more worth it. JumboGamemon is actually pretty nuts when you consider it alongside Cargodramon. It’s definitely worth a shot.
If I’m already being obnoxious and playing Black Royal Knights, I may as well yolo. And like you guys mentioned on the podcast, Quartzmon is an option with the Brigade too…
I also tried a more aggressive build with Jesmon GX. He can trigger all three knights’ when digivolving effects and swing for multiple checks. Quartzmon or Omnimon Zwart (and Defeat) would work too, but you can’t search them out.

What I love about your videos is that you record your approach to building these decks and the thought that goes into every card.
I like to because I hate when someone just gives you a list without context.
Damn, super high quality here.
Appreciate that. Makes the hours of editing worth it 😅

Man, I want to find a way to make the big cat work. The ACE is cool, but the original sovereigns just have this charm about them.

This was delivered so well! Love this! Great job!
Man, this hits so different coming from a creator I respect so much. Thank you brother!

Anything D Brigade im all for
Best engine, and maybe deck in the game. So good right now.
But I am biased haha

That would probably do it.
Crushing it man
Going to the moon 🥲
DeathXmon is impossible to find, would Quartzmon be a good replacement
Absolutely. An unkillable Quartzmon might be even nastier 🤣
@@kevinski-tcg I currently play D-Brigade with Diaboromon Ace and it’s disgustingly good 🙃
Have you played around with the vademon in the dbrigade engine? Have been curious if jumbogamemon would work well too
Actually yes, Vademon was in my earlier list, but I found he wasn’t live as often as I needed him to be.

@kevinski-tcg I'll try it out and give you my feed back for sure! Also, the listed decklist is at 52 cards I'm not sure if you knew that or not!
Ah, probably got the count wrong on the graphics. Happens lol.@@lulianjeight1268
fantastic work hahahaha, unkillable dexmon is EVIL
If I’m already being obnoxious and playing Black Royal Knights, I may as well yolo.
And like you guys mentioned on the podcast, Quartzmon is an option with the Brigade too…
When the world needed them most they vanished
So sad too. Black toolbox in general just went poof.
@@kevinski-tcg so true
what else can you use if you dont have deathxmon?
I also tried a more aggressive build with Jesmon GX. He can trigger all three knights’ when digivolving effects and swing for multiple checks.

Always love your video
Thank you for always showing up 😁
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Legit this was my favourite pile to build so far.
Your edits are so cleeeeeeeeean. Great video.
Gotta keep pushing what we can do in the creator space!
52-card deck?
lol yup maybe an error in the graphics. Was rushing to get this puppy out.
Fair, i just assumed cut whichever option you dislike :p
That’s a good way of looking at it 😅
