  • Mackie DL32R mixers are known for ribbon cable issues. This video shows how to open the case and re-seat the output ribbon cables (black).
    A similar procedure can be used for input cables (grey).

    Thanks - that’s my job for today! Nice to have a quick guide to talk me through it and show me the correct ribbon cable.

    Thank you Mike! I probably wouldn't have dared to take a look inside, and instead sent to Mackie- this video saved us downtime, much appreciated!

      My headphone output on my dl32s stopped working. You wouldn't know how to fix that one would you?😉

    Thank you so much for putting up this wonderful video. My Macke dl32r had a major output failure at the gig on Sunday and I was able to isolate and fix the problem with your advice. You rock and you’re keeping us playing, too! Thanks again!

    Michael, thank you very much for taking the time to make and post this video. We were able to fix the same issue on the input side with one of our channels. All is working as it should now. Many thanks.

      Nevermind, I saw the comments. My mixer is probably what.....7 years old now. It's time to clean it and reseat stuff. Have some DeoxIT coming.

    Is the product used called "Precision contact cleaner" by "sprayaway" brand?

      Yes, that's what I had onhand. I'm told DeoxIT works very well.

    Hi, network led is red in the video, is it supposed to turn green when a device is connected? Like your ipad

    • @WoodlawnSound
      @WoodlawnSound  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good eye, yes that is correct. Maybe it was red because my cover was off (?)
      But as you can see in the video, the iPad was connected OK.

      I only asked because I’m having the same issue. All my devices connect and operate fine but my Wi-Fi led stays red. Contacted Mackie and tried all their suggestions but still the same. Please let me know if you find a fix. Great video and thanks for doing what you do. Really appreciate it.

      Hey Michael, I just wanted to say Thank you. I took the time to look into my DL32R and followed your instructions and BOOM I got my headphone output back, my 13L and 14R main output back and all outputs sound the same. Once again Thank you very much!!!

    Hi Michael. Thank you for then info. Do you know often this happens? I mean I clean it now, when would Appear again? Approximately

    • @juanchula17
      @juanchula17 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The idea is to make periodic maintenance

    • @WoodlawnSound
      @WoodlawnSound  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it depends on a few factors, like humidity where you live, where the mixer is stored, how often it is transported.
      I'm in relatively dry Colorado, and have reseated and cleaned the ribbons twice since 2015.

    What would cause the 2 1/4 monitor outputs to go out completely?

  • @dylandylan11731
    @dylandylan11731 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Are they becoming unseated or is it corrosion on the pins ? 🧐

    • @WoodlawnSound
      @WoodlawnSound  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They become unseated. It sure would be great if someone could offer a fix for this. It's the one and only issue I have with the DL32R.

    please which cleaner did you use?

    • @WoodlawnSound
      @WoodlawnSound  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had some industrial cleaner on hand; but most people use DeoxIT.
      Best of luck to you!
