Someone from playstation told me that the reason my controller wont hold a charge is because the PlayStation doesn't know when to stop charging the controller and over time it kills the batteries ability to hold its charge. He told me they should have warned people not to leave their controller plugged into the ps4 after the charge light goes out .

Unplug ur ps4 take out the chargeing cable leave it unpluged for 2 mins replug the ps4 turn it on plug ur charger into the ps4 and connect your controller

His tips for your PS4 joy pad having issues ( not working or charging) are ideal. As not everyone would not always know what to do about it. Replacing the cable for charging are fairly cheap although some can be quite expensive depending on one of two factors. Seller & quality of that lead. Although be careful as some sellers will try to sell a really cheap one to you at a expensive price. You may be able to find which one it is. if you know what to look for. ( sadly i don't but, anything i buy i try to do a full check about it not always i can but, i do try as much as poss on everything before i decide on wether to buy it or not I do strongly suggest to others to try do the same if they can or at least check several reviews ( 6 to 8 at least if that many reviews are available ) Or better still go to someone or dealer that you know to be as honest & reliable as possible when it comes to such things. Do not go to the first place you see that has them. They are bound to over charge you for it.

If you look in the charging port, if the actualy like pong thing in the middle is going up or down then your charging port is broken and you buy another one.

You get charging docks that charge the controller through the AUX port at the bottom of the controller, if your charging port at the top of the controller is faulty that's one solution
My controller isnt charging and when I press the ps button the blue light flickers and then turns off:/ Update: my controller was fine, it was just that the charger was broken and also the ps4 wasnt on😂😶 Tip: shake ur controller and if u hear st inside of it then its most likely a loose st in the controller so theres a chance ur controller is broken. But i would also suggest going on ebay and buying a good cheap charger for the controller and see if its just the charger thats broken, also try to reset the controller. I hope this helps💖
